I had an excellent experience with Coggin Collision at The Avenues and specifically want to recognize Steve for truly outstanding customer service. I brought in my brand new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser for a bumper repair/replacement, and as a woman handling this out-of-pocket repair on a $90,000 vehicle, I was understandably nervous about unnecessary repairs, damaged sensors, recalibration costs, and whether I was being taken advantage of. Steve completely changed that experience for me. From start to finish, he communicated every step of the process, sent me detailed pictures throughout the repair, showed me any damaged parts that actually needed replacement, and made sure I understood exactly what was happening with my vehicle at all times. That level of transparency is rare these days, and it immediately built trust and loyalty. I was especially concerned about the parking sensors and avoiding unnecessary recalibration costs, and they handled my vehicle with incredible care. Steve and the technician who worked on my Land Cruiser went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and professionally. I truly hope upper management recognizes Steve and the technician involved because this was hands-down one of the best body shop experiences I've ever had, and I'm slightly embarrassed to admit I've had quite a few over the years. ‍ Great communication, honesty, professionalism, and genuine customer care. I was very impressed with Coggin Collison Center at the Avenues. I had a minor fender bender in my Nissan Murano. No airbags deployed or anything but my collision light came on and the cruise control stopped working. I called and spoke to Steve W. He was great, he said just bring it in and let's look at it. He was very thorough, gave me an estimate and a correct assessment of what was wrong with my car. There was more wrong than I originally thought. I did go to another car repair shop for a second opinion, and they wanted to charge me 3x as much as Coggin. Needless to say, I went back to CCC and they proceeded to repair my vehicle as promised which was greatly appreciated but I have to say their customer service is outstanding. When I went back Mariah B was helping me and she help set me up for repair day. Steve and Mariah tagged teamed me with kindness and communication until my repair was complete. Michelle at the front desk was just as hospital as the rest. She even asked me if I wanted to change the channel on the tv, or if I'd like some coffee while I waited. I also met the manager, Carlton. I only gave a 2 because the work they did on the car was decent. Their communication however is horrible... and the woman at the desk tells you they will call you back right away but no one ever does. We actually drove there because we had been without the car for weeks and no call... in front of us she answered the phone and told whoever was on the other end that everyone was in a meeting. "Everyone" was sitting in their cubes talking and seemed less then busy. Our guy came and got us only to tell us he never heard we called. Anyways, they do an ok job but they need a new system in how to get in touch. read more

I bought a new car around the 1st of July and about a month later, a person cut me off and I hit them. I ended up having some front end damage so I called my insurance (State Farm). They gave me a few preferred collision places to get the work done. Coggin was one of them. I had bought my car at Coggin Nissan just a couple blocks away so I decided to go with them. I called to schedule an appointment to have the car looked at and they told me to drop by any time. I dropped by and they promptly looked at my car. They told me they could get in me in about two weeks to start the work. Unfortunately, I was going out of the country and leaving from a different city so I couldn't leave my car. They were nice enough to schedule me for the day after I got back. When I got back from my vacation, I dropped off my car. I had some issues with the rental car company (review for Hertz) but this had nothing to do with Coggin. They tried to call Hertz many times and were patient while we waited from them to show up. I was told my car would be ready in a week. On day 6 (a Wednesday), I hadn't heard from them so I called them. They said it wouldn't be ready on time and to extend my rental. I asked how long and it would be and they said it should be ready on Friday. I didn't hear from them on Thursday so I called Friday morning. They told me I could pick up my car after work. When I got there my car was ready and looked better than I could have expected. They gave me detailed information about how to care for the new front bumper and told me the do's and don't's. I really only had two issues with Coggin. 1. Their communication leaves something to be desired. Never once did they call me. I had to call them for updates or to see if I needed to extend my rental. 2. The car was so dusty and dirty when I got it. I just figured they could have washed it before giving it back. I know I couldn't wash it so why couldn't they before installing the bumper? There was probably half an inch of dirt and I wasn't able to wash my car for a month. I would go back because of the quality of work which was the most important thing. read more

I would NEVER tell my worst enemy to take their care here. Horrific communication skills, lack of any professionalism and released my vehicle back to me with the drivers seat doubling as a rocking chair. They never had answers to anything. It's always "let me look into that" or "I am not sure" or any other blow off tactic. I only started to receive any call backs or communication because I contacted the regional manager. Truthfully, he wasn't very helpful and instilled zero faith he would actually do anything, but I would get a call back now and then. Never once was I told the same thing from Coggin and USAA. Every time an issue came up, Coggin was wrong, every time !!I This experience was actually a living and breathing nightmare .............and not even half of the things they mishandled. read more

We had a small bumper issue with one of our vehicles and the service department at the Coggin dealership we go to naturally recommended us to their preferred auto body shop, the Coggin Collision Center (In one pocket and straight to the other). It is kind of hidden among the many car dealerships between southside and the 295 overpass. The signage isn't that flashy and if you weren't looking for it, you'd probably pass by it without noticing it. I showed up at 7:50 on a Saturday morning and noticed that the hours were from 8-noon. I was sorta ticked that nobody showed up to unlock the doors until 8:15. When they finally opened for business though they quickly met me outside to assess the situation and gave me an estimate. While the tech gave me the quote, he was brutally honest and told me that the fix was fairly simple and that I could apply the fix myself. Sure enough, after I took the vehicle home, I followed his instructions and my ride was good as new. This case of honesty saved me a few hundred dollars. Other businesses should follow this model. In a world where money talks, it's good to know there are still establishments out there that still look out for their customers. If I'm ever in need of collision service in the future, you bet I'm hitting this place up first. read more

Coggin Collision Center of the Avenues may actually do good work, but it is going on three weeks since I dropped my car for rear bumper work, and I cannot get anyone there to call back with a completion date. I am just getting vague comments about "being in paint" and next "should be in line to go into paint", all follow by "we'll call you back". I have had no call initiated by Coggin with information. Seems to be a lack transparency and communication skills. I could not recommend them for any work due to the lack of customer service. read more

STOP DON'T GO HERE. I opted to choose this place thinking they would do quality work and if you just take a quick glance you'd think they did, BUT they CUT CORNERS EVERYWHERE. They make sure to charge your insurance for every little thing but reuse a lot of what they charge for. I could live with this but the end result is a CRAPPY job when you look past the fresh paint. First off I hit a deer and had its guts all over my car they made sure to leave that mess on the car and work around it never so much as wiping it off where a new part meets the old part so it was between things that were newly attached, SO WHAT, I can live with that but let's just start with the fact there is someone that supposedly "goes over," the car to release it back to you. They obviously don't try or didn't try to do a thorough look over, "why?" You may ask well it's over a month later and I am sitting in the waiting area AGAIN to get things PROPERLY repaired that were not done correctly TO BEGIN WITH. This is the 3rd time THE 3rd TIME I've had ISSUES WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK. IT WAS EITHER RUSHED OR THE PERSON WHO FIXED IT WAS NOT PROPERLY TRAINED. 1.Area that was repaired PAINTED, was not thoroughly cleaned first 2. Airbag Sensor lights I MADE SURE TO BRING UP when I dropped it off were NOT addressed before they released it, so my airbags were off, YET ON MY RECEIPT IT WAS MARKED AS CHECKED. 3. Whoever repaired the car never took consideration of their dirty hands so they left their DIRTY HAND PRINTS INSIDE MY CAR. THESE WERE ISSUES I FOUND WHEN I PICKED THE CAR UP, they were addressed and I would have been happy with that BUT THERE WERE MORE ISSUES. I noticed several things later that day, 1. The rear passenger door, A DOOR THAT WAS REPAINTED AND I HAD NOT YET TOUCHED had a scratch behind the handle down to the bare metal as if someone opened the door while they were painting it or while the paint was still "soft," the person I spoke with basically claimed it was me because what rocks and debris cannot remove banging against the car at 70mph is something I could do with my nail, they put that nail polish cover up to appease me. 2. The passenger mirror was lacking power a simple issue to fix but why wasn't it done correctly the first time. 3. I opened the hatchback of my car and found plastic parts laying around I then realized they were the covers for the screws so they wouldn't be seen, they NEVER REPLACED THEM WHEN THEY PERFORMED WHATEVER WORK THEY DID BACK THERE. 4. In the back of the car I noticed AGAIN GRIMY HAND PRINTS ON THE INTERIOR OF MY CAR. 5. I reached into my car to check the rest of the work on the side that was freshly painted and felt a scrape on my arm, after further inspection I realized the PAINT WAS NOT PROPERLY SANDED ON THE DOOR EDGE. They again addressed these issues but WHY DID I EVEN HAVE TO RETURN AGAIN TO ADDRESS THESE ISSUES. NOW I AM HERE FOR ANOTHER ISSUE. I am sitting in the waiting room with a lazy front desk attendant who IS NOT PROACTIVE IN ASSISTING YOU. I am here again dealing with a young woman, someone who seems lost, confused, overwhelmed and NOT someone I would leave to handle problems directly, she's clueless and also the same person who should have looked over the car correctly in the first place. There was 1-giant item broken in my car from the accident besides the obvious bumper and outside damage 1 GIANT GLARING PART WAS HANGING DOWN, the reservoir for the washer fluid so it should have been the 1-item you make sure is correctly fixed, but THIS ITEM WAS NOT FIXED CORRECTLY, not only was it not fixed correctly AS I WRITE THIS REVIEW, the same woman has brought back my car to explain a cockamamie story that the problem with my washer fluid reservoir is related to a totally different issue their NOT going to fix, SHE WENT ON TO EXPLAIN SHE CHECKED IT AND GAVE ME A STORY OF HOW THE FLUID LEAKING WAS COMING FROM A DIFFERENT LOCATION, I ASKED DID YOU CHECK THIS BECAUSE HOW ARE THESE ITEMS MAGICALLY NOT WET, if she really checked it how is this area not wet, she went inside to get the manager as I tried to show her the issue again, WELL GUESS WHAT WITH THE HOOD OPEN IT WAS CLEAR HER STORY WAS NOT TRUE IT IS CLEAR THAT AS I HAD EXPLAINED THE ITEM WAS NOT PROPERLY REPAIRED, IT WAS CLEAR SHE HAD NO CLUE AGAIN WHAT SHE WAS DOING, I am now sitting again in the waiting room AS THEY FIX MY CAR AGAIN, after arguing THEN PROVING MY CASE. I TOOK 3 SEPARATE DAYS TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES AND DROVE OVER 20 miles EACH WAY EACH TIME TO GET HERE. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT USING THIS REPAIR CENTER, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SO MANY ISSUES WITH A REPAIR AND I WAS NOT THE ONLY PERSON IN HERE TODAY COMPLAINING. read more

DON'T TRUST COGGIN COLLISION WITH YOUR VEHICLE !!!! PLEASE READ THIS. 100% TRUE (NIGHTMARE) CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. So after six of MAJOR ISSUES arise I was extremely upset. Coggin Collision had to cut my bumper with a reciprocating saw to make it fit, they had to take my door apart to fix something they did not properly fix to begin with. I have scratches on my inside door handle that needs to be replaced. I have gouges in the quarter panel. My vehicle has a bad alignment it was not like that before and the PRO grill cover I paid for out of pocket was not properly installed. I called and left messages for Brian who I worked with. I told the person at the front desk what my concerns were but Brian was always "busy". So after several attempts to get ahold of Brian I called my banking institution and disputed the repair costs. Coggin Collision gets word of the dispute and the MANAGER calls me to threaten that they will have ARRESTED FOR THEFT OF SERVICES if the funds are taken from them. UMMMMMMMM!!!!!! WHAT!!!! So I am being threatened to be arrested for wanting funds back after they did EXTREMELY TERRIBLE work. They DAMAGED my vehicle and they REFUSED to contact me back until I disputed the payment. My 2017 Toyota 4 Runner was hit and the hood, front passenger fender, grill, headlight and alignment were damaged. My 4runner is a TRD off road that was purchased from Toyota with a three inch lift and upgraded wheels and tires. I keep my vehicle spotless. Then I leave my vehicle with Coggin Collision. I heard from them during the repaid process to say something about not be replacing a damaged part they will simply bondo and paint it.I said "absolutely no bondo on my truck". They listened and ended up ordering the damaged part. Then the day I pick up my vehicle after the repairs are "complete" First, it took over 30 minutes for Brian to get the front desk the paperwork they needed to process the payment and complete the transaction. It was raining and the truck was wet so it was hard to see any visible damage. But I still found things..... 1. I see scratches on the door handle of the inside passenger door. It was apparent that when they took the door off for the repair they were careless and somehow scratches the handle. I am 100% certain the scratches were not there prior to leaving the vehicle with Coggin Collision 2. I started to leave the collision center and my front bumper was hitting my front driver side tire. They take my truck out back, use a reciprocating saw and cut a section of the bumper to keep it from rubbing. Please tell me. 3. At the collision center I was told by a mechanic that due to the lift they were unable to get my alignment to pass on the the alignment machine. And of course when I left the collision center and got on the highway there was a vibration coming from my tires which is an alignment issue. My alignment was perfect before the accident. I makes no sense that after the accident that my lift made it impossible to align but before the accident it was perfect. 4. I get home and I went to pull open the passengers side door (the same door that has been taken apart during the repair) and the outside door handle / release falls apart. The door wont open and the handle was dangling. I took my truck back and they had to fix a part in the door linkage, admitting they did not properly reinstall it. 5. . I get back home from the door handle fix and decide to wash my truck and what do I find.... A long gouge / scratch down my passenger quarter panel. It just so happens that I have pictures from the day I took the truck into Coggin Collision that shows that area of the truck and the scratch / gouge was not there. 6. I had Coggin Collision install a TRD Pro grill cover that I paid out of pocket for. Who ever installed this was incompetent. There is no spacing on one side of the cover were it meets the grill and over 3/4 of an inch on the other. Its completely spaced incorrectly. I will do everything in my power to protect myself from these people. This is beyond bad business. read more

By far the rudest and most uncaring experience I've had - and they have had 3 chances. I was referred here twice by State Farm from other driver's carelessness. Two times I was treated bruskly, once questioning how the accident actually happened and trying to blame us. ALL THREE TIMES they horribly under-estimated the time to complete the job and then stated (multiple times) that there are "lots of variables"...would never elaborate. I can understand being off by 1-3 days, but 1 -2 WEEKS?? Without ANY explanation or apologies for their poor estimation? When I stated that I was unsatisfied with their service (the work done was acceptable) they just said that other places were worse. read more

We bought this car brand new 2016 Impala. Took it in on Jan 31st went to pick it up on February 26 and after inspecting our car I found scratches that was not on the car when I dropped it off. Scratches on the bumper, scratches on the truck and scratches on the hood. This car was brand new and we take very food car of out vehicles. I bought this to the attention of Denise Kitchens she used compound and tried to remove the scratches but that did not work, I left the car at Coggins Collision because as a first time customer this was poor customer service. U would like our vehicle in the same condition as I dropping off. Denise mentioned that the scratches on the hood are from rocks, well they were NOT there when I dropped the car off I do know that. Thanks Geico for sending me to this place that has been the death of me! Well I am sitting at 2 months and 1 day currently with my car at this place and me driving around in a rental that after Geico has graciously paid $1050, I have now paid $1000 out of pocket (more than a car payment). I keep getting the run around from this place via TEXT message saying that it will be tomorrow or end of week. This is happening on a daily/ weekly basis. I got the excuse because I bought a brand new Mercedes that they had to order parts from Germany and that is what took so long. I "texted" back that my husband and I want the breakdown when everything was ordered and when all the work was done to my vehicle - have not seen any of that documentation yet. My car has now been taken to Mercedes for programming to be done to the headlights, which I was told was Thursday. I called Mercedes and was told NO, in fact, it was dropped off later in the day on Friday. I was also read what all was listed to be done to my car, which was WAY more than just programming of the headlights. Try radiator, etc, etc. This collision center is offering NO help with my rental and neither is Geico. This is absolutely INSANE to me and I would not recommend either company to anyone!!! I just want my car back and to be done with this shady, uncommunicative, not about their customers company. RUN far away! read more

I was devastated when I misjudged the entrance to my garage and hit the house with the front end of my car. Imagining an insurance hike and large out of pocket expense my husband drove to Coggin without an appointment. William Guy, the collision specialist, asked if he could wait. Of course he waited. Much to his surprise he popped out the dent, compounded the bumper and refused to take any money. He actually said it was his pleasure. Who gives this level of customer service anywhere anymore? They took 8 weeks to do a max 4 day job. After 4 week they presented me my car as complete and passable. The work that was done was beyond words can explain, something that would disturb a psychologist. Plus, the car obtained body damage while at the shop (opposite side of the accident), a curbed wheel and under body lining damage due to an employee placing a jack in a very wrong location, than at the factory locations. The car feels like it doesn't run right since getting it back, like it was beaten badly, backfires and hesitates, and transmission engagement doesn't feel like a new car anymore, but a car with 20 times more miles. I regret taking my car there and would highly suggest about thinking twice if you do select them. Take pictures of every part of your car, in and out, miles and obtain a copy of the walk around, and make sure it shows the cars mileage when left. They fixed all the issues, minus the under body lining, which I did not know was present until after I took possession of the car, and took pictures of the moron who tried to jack the car on the plastic parts on both sides,but damaging the drivers side, assuming they learned on that side where not to and where you can place pressure. They broke the passenger mirror, but got a new one, because their tech could not figure out how to remove the cap and damaged the base. Smh. read more

Went in two weeks ago and spoke with William Guy, a Collision Specialist, needing the back bumper replaced on my Toyota Rav-4. Was told they could get me in the following week as soon as I decided to either have my "back-up sensors" put in the new bumper or go without. I called Mr. Guy the VERY next day leaving a message on his v-mail telling him I wanted to keep sensors and to go ahead with repairs asking him to return my call so I would know he got my message. After no return phone call two days later, I call again and was told Mr.Guy had received my message, was with another customer & he would return my call that day. Soo, the weekend comes & goes and that Mon. I call again and would you believe Mr. Guy answers the phone and says he was "still waiting to hear from me about my decision on the sensors" and he would have to call me back after he checked AGAIN with the Parts Department. For what, I don't know! This is TOTALLY NOT PROFESSIONAL nor did I feel as their website states... they have the "highest levels of customer service whether a simple oil change or a full body repair." REALLY?? I DO NOT appreciate being ignored and wonder is it because I am blonde?? I certainly hope not!! In the meantime, I took my car to GERBER COLLISION where I was treated with respect and in a very timely manner! Thank you Gerber Collision for your professionalism!! read more
