My husband has been going to Coffee for the last 1.5 years. Coffee is amazing and very skilled. My husband has had basically the same haircut for the last 20 years (Prior to going to Coffee). But his hair is a little thinner now. When he started going to Coffee he asked for a new cut/style that would be most flattering for his current type of hair. Coffee did not disappoint. New to the area so Yelp is my place to go to find services. Coffee's had impressive reviews, great pics and is close by to were I live. Not to mention, they had a couple of female pics which is hard to find in a barbershop(I have very short hair and require a fade). The young man that did my hair was Anthony, and I was impressed :) He did an impressive job!! Honestly one of the best I have had, and I am very picky when it comes to my hair. I get it done every two weeks to keep it nice and clean. I can go on and on about this place but you have to try them yourself to believe it. And at $20, you just can't beat it. I drive 30 minutes to get me and my sons haircuts every 4-6 weeks, Zero Low Fades, Hard Parts tried all kinds of haircuts over the years. Only person to cut my sons hair in 13 years as well. I have been looking for just the right barber for a very long time. Took me over 18 years to fine someone that takes his business seriously and know how to do a descent faded hair cut. I had to deal with bad and good barbers. The good ones were too far or too busy, and the others ether spend more time on the phone talking to his buddies, doing business with other people while you were waiting on your chair, not showing to work, talking way too much and forgot they had people waiting for them, or simply did a horrible job and expected $25 plus tip. The governor allowed salons and barber shops to reopen on Monday of this week. I've been a long-time customer of Great Clips but, in light of the pandemic, I decided I want to support locally owned businesses rather than the nationwide corporate chain stores, whether it be auto mechanic, grocery store or salon/barber store, et al. I walked into Coffee's Barbershop today (Thursday) at about 12:40 p.m. There was one customer in the chair, one barber on duty and no customers waiting. The barber greeted me and asked if I wanted a haircut, to which I concurred. "We only work by appointment," he said. "Can I wait? I asked. "No" was the response. I left, saying I will go somewhere else. "O.K.," he said. I'm sitting in the parking lot directly in front of the front door. The customer left about 20 minutes ago. No one has entered, so it's not like they are lining up, waiting for a chair. I guess they don't need the business. I won't be back! read more

My son scheduled an appointment with Anthony not only did he described what he wanted but sent him a picture in a text of the haircut he wanted and was quoted $30 after arriving. At the end of the haircut Anthony asked what he thought and he said it was not short enough like the picture or what he described. He said oh ok no problem I got you and cut it shorter then when checking out charged $40. I drove 30 mins round trip to get the $10 back for this horrible haircut that looked at no point anything like the picture. Anthony was gone and the owner refused to refund my $10 even after I explained the long drive. He insisted I bring my minor child back when Anthony was there to dispute it with him. Anthony and the owner are very unprofessional I decided not to spend $10 in gas to go back a day later and maybe be refunded after my minor child got ripped off on a haircut. I was trying to teach my son the importance of supporting local businesses. read more

I have been coming to this barbershop ever since I moved to Sacramento 5 months ago. I chose it because of its top-notch rating. I've been one of Coffee's satisfied clients who always left generous tips until this day. I always scheduled appointments through Yelp, and this time was no exception. I requested an appointment for the next day at 4 pm, and Coffee said that he should be free around that time. Later that evening I received an email from Coffee saying that he was sorry and would not be able to see me since he had a doctor appointment. I said that I would come over at the same time the day after tomorrow then. Coffee accepted the new appointment. I came to the barbershop on the scheduled day at 3:50 pm. Coffee was still busy cutting another guy's hair. Some other guy was sitting on a waiting chair browsing through his phone. I thought that I had nothing to worry about since I had already been scheduled to be here at 4:00 pm. It took him 20 more minutes to finish the haircut. And guess what?! At 4:10, Coffee said hello to me and invited another guy who was sitting next to me. I thought that he must have forgotten about my appointment and reminded him about it. His reply shocked me. He said that he did not accept appointments any more because he had no helpers. I said that I had the emails from him proving the opposite. Not having other arguments, he tried to ask the guy to wait until he finished with me. The guy refused, saying that he had been waiting since 3:00 pm. And Coffee just pretended that he could not do anything about it. Coffee may be the owner of his barbershop, but he definitely is not the owner of his word. If he had admitted that he forgot about my appointment, I would have understood, but one lie ruins a thousand truths. He just lost a loyal client. read more
