Then one of their specials, the Medium Lavender Matcha Latte w Macadamia Milk, caught my eye and I decided to try it out. The matcha isn't high-quality and sadly the lavender was a little too subtle for me. After a couple of sips, I could barely taste it. The macadamia milk actually added a nutty sweetness which I enjoyed but I wonder if that muted the lavender taste. This cafe is quite small but there are a handful of tables if you prefer to enjoy your drink inside. If I'm back in the area, maybe I'll stick to my original plan and try their coffee drinks.

This is probably one of the only places in NYC where you can get Iced Coffee Cubes instead of regular ones! I found that it made the latte richer and bolder, and even when it melted, it was just more coffee! They use premium drip iced coffee to make those cubes which is great. Great try!

Finding parking was a bit of a challenge, but I managed to snag a spot nearby. However, as soon as I stepped inside, I realized the café had no air conditioning, and with the humidity hovering at 100%, it was a stifling day--around 89°F, with intermittent rain making the air even more muggy. It was incredibly uncomfortable. Although the café offered both indoor and outdoor seating, they had all the glass doors and windows wide open, which meant that whether you were seated inside or out, the heat was unbearable. I was grateful I had arrived early to assess the situation. When I asked a staff member if they typically kept the air conditioning off, hoping to gauge my future visits, she replied, "Well, everyone wants to sit outside; it's such a beautiful day." In reality, it was the farthest thing from beautiful--a day where staying indoors seemed like the only option. I found it hard to believe that a business like this wouldn't offer air-conditioned comfort for its patrons. Thankfully, I quickly searched for another café nearby, called them, and confirmed they had indoor seating with AC. I headed over to Moa, where it was refreshingly cool, with plenty of seating and, of course, fantastic coffee. Sometimes, a little detour leads to a much better experience! Maybe I'll try this place in the winter .
