First morning, I can't remember the name of what I had, but I believe it was a mixture butter pecan / white chocolate latte. It was good, but I asked for it half sweet and it still came out sweet enough to cross your eyes. The second morning, just black coffee. For an independent roaster, I was a tad disappointed; flavor wasn't there. My wife and I are coffee connoisseurs; we research and order from independent roasters across the country. So, we know flavor profiles and consider ourselves knowledgeable. Additional "cons": they could do better at announcing completed orders. Had I not been standing right there and asked, who knows how long our drinks would have sat there. Lastly, I was disappointed in the bagged whole bean coffee options. Our server was friendly and attentive, and his recommendation of the Flatlander Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) was spot on. Since my husband and I often split meals, we ordered one sandwich to share. To our surprise, it arrived already divided onto two separate plates--a thoughtful touch that's becoming all too rare. That kind of service definitely earns extra points. The sandwich was delicious, with grilled chicken breast, guacamole, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle mayo, served with perfectly cooked crispy fries. I ordered an iced tea but couldn't resist trying a sample of their seasonal Peach Ale. It was so good that I ended up ordering a small glass. This store and its employees need to be trained by a true Starbucks trainer and represent the company better. You can call your customers hon and love but please make their drinks right and know company policies before spouting them off. The store is a nice size and vibe is good.
