Absolutely the best coffee I had on my vacation to the Berkshires! They have tons of flavors and also had lots of teas. We went with a cold brew coffee (delicious - strong but not acidic) and the Russian black tea (really strong amazing flavor). The man serving as was really friendly. I loved the decor and if you're into cats this is the place to go as they had tons of cat themed decor and other items for sale. I even saw an award from the feral trapping society that thanked them for their help. Nice! I'm going to make sure I visit here again on my next trip to the area. read more

The Coffee Liberation Front - My "Cat Cafe" There is an exceptional place along the Ashuwillticook Trail where the Hoosic River meanders through the flood chute under Park Street in the center of historic Adams, MA. It's called "The Coffee Liberation Front" but I can't help thinking of it as "The Cat Cafe." I come to the Cat Cafe because there is community there, even for first timers. I come because my food is made with knowledgeable care and they make a wicked cat-paw-chino (sorry). I write this review where I often write, the Cat Cafe, which has been closed for what seems like a long time due to medical issues. This is the first day open in 11 days. I've heard that you find out who your friends are when the road gets rough. The Coffee Liberation Front has a lot of good friends. We all missed Allison and Chris and were concerned, like family. Today I feel like I come back for the food that feeds the soul and calls to you like the sounds of the sea rolling in. So here I am. It's a warm feeling made all the more so by the generosity of fellow customers as evidenced by the tip jar, the contents of which are donated in their entirety to animal charities and rescues that sometimes yield matching donations. There are many cats to be counted among the animals who have benefited. As if to second my favorable view, a first time customer stressing his restaurant ownership credentials, exclaimed that the veggy cream cheese was "the best I've ever had, best ever!"and inquired as to it's origin; but that's a secret...with a hint of magic. read more

Come here 3-4 times a week. Great for a quick cup of coffee or (my preference) to sit and read and enjoy quality coffee. The salads, bagels, and veggie burger wraps are awesome as well. As a local, Coffee Liberation Front is the BEST cafe in the Berkshires, at least in my humble opinion. The staff is incredibly friendly and cares very deeply about the quality and freshness of their food and drink and about making their customers feel at home. The owners are in the business because they love doing what they're doing, and it shows! Plus, unlike many places, they don't make you feel like a criminal for having a service animal. I highly recommend making a trip (and trying the fresh made veggie cream cheese)! read more

I love what that did to this place. It is open and airy with light wood and lots of windows. The tea selection is impressive and delicious. I'm hoping they bring back the toast with toppings. It was scrumptious and I've never had anything like it. 1 piece was a meal and more than enough. The salads were inventive and so yummy. They have morphed into wraps ...soooo good. I tried to walk in for a coffee at 1:50 pm on a Tuesday. Both owners were on the premises, lights were on, and the posted hours of operation said closing time was 2:00 pm. The door however was locked and one owner came to the door and pointed to a "Closed" sign. How can anyone in a hospitality business be so rude to a customer? read more

I found the owners (barista/chef and cashier) to be kind of condescending know-it-alls, the food and beverage was sub par. The ambiance was nice, unless you have a dog or cat allergy then stay away! They have animals in the cafe, so also watch out for pet hair in your food and/or drinks. read more

This was my first trip, and I was looking forward to ordering a salad, as they always look so tasty. The price is more than reasonable. A variety of berries and veggies combined colors, tastes, and textures; a generous portion of cheese (I chose bleu) topped it off; and, the homemade dressing complimented it nicely. I had to take it home and mix it in a larger bowl! It truly is enough for two (or three) people! My husband also enjoyed it. I'm saving some for later. You can't get a tastier or healthier bargain for your hard earned money if you are looking for a salad. I'll be going back for more, and bringing my bag back for a free cookie :) . read more

We stopped in for some bagels and sandwiches to take with us on our way to North Adams. Really nice people serving a great selection of bagels, toppings and a few veggie sandwich options.
