I have a recording studio in my basement that has unfortunately been soaked by blown steam heat…read morepipes a few times over the last several years. To hire a boiler companies to come out and replace pipes is insanely expensive, and not really worth it if they are not working on the boiler itself. (I don't think the pipe cares who replaces it)! That part out of the way, after having major disasters in the past, and calling some local boiler companies (who I won't name), I tried Preferred plumbing last year and again this morn. They came out and fixed it before there was any damage. Unlike the boiler company who was scheduled out for weeks and let me stew in my own live steam. Matt, and Brett, and Cooper are the best! Great guys - they know what they're doing, and they don't waste your time. They're so personable, I probably wasted THEIR time talking to them too much! I'm so satisfied that I have decided to finally replace the waterline in my house sometime in the next few months, using Preferred Plumbing, because I completely trust them now. Not only were they quick to respond, they did great work, they did it well, and as usual, they came in at a very reasonable price. I grew up in Michigan, but I've only been back here since 2015, and you know how hard it is to find professionals that you can trust in a new town. I totally trust Matt and his crew, and I would suggest that if you have any plumbing/heating needs you give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

For approximately nine months I have been dealing with sewer issues at my resident in Benton…read moreHarbor, Michigan. Numerous local plumbers in the area have cleaned my sewer drain approximately 8 times in a nine month period. Whitney plumbing and Trout plumbing recommended that my sewer be replaced. Unfortunately, Whitney plumbing nor Trout plumbing could not find my sewer line after digging up my yard. Then on February 23, 2024, a friend of mine referred me to Tim Roger's Plumbing, who is located in Allegan, Michigan. Which is approximately two hour travel time round trip from my location. Fortunately Tim Roger's Plumbing arrived the following day. The two plumbers were very professional and courteous. They cleaned my sewer line with two different size cutters and I was astounded with the result. Their expertise was superb. Thanks to Tim Roger's Plumbing my sewer drain is draining properly again . I recommend Tim Roger's Plumbing to everyone who needs professional plumbing services. They are definitely number one in plumbing.

One week after " completing" the job, I had electrical failures upstairs. They came back corrected their mistake. Second week during a renovation project the builder discovered the old nob and tube wiring they said they removed was still intact and ACTIVE! Whitney came back out a second time and took care of the issue. Third week I went into the basement and discovered they had taken out all the light socket and electrical switches and didn't replace any of them. Five in total. In addition the " boss" adamantly said to take care of each of those three problems it would cost extra. Thank goodness I had a contract. emEnd if discussion. My son, had a very similar issue not knowing it was Whitney that I hired. Whitney sent out a plumber to fix a Clogged drain. My son used a plumbers snake and a few other things to remedy the problem clog to no avail. when the plumber from Whitney came, my son showed him where the clog was. Plumber said you need a snake to unclog it and I didn't bring one. Charged my son $250. My son said your website says free estimates. Plumber replied, estimates are free. This is a diagnostic fee. Good grief. I highly do not recommend this company

We had Whitney Services out for a worsening whole-home plumbing/water-pressure issue involving…read moremultiple fixtures. During the visit, the technician discussed concerns that the water softener was causing a restriction/backup and releasing resin beads into the plumbing, with a recommendation to replace the softener and flush the plumbing lines. We were also told that flushing could potentially reveal or cause failures in affected fixtures or components because of the existing buildup. Afterward, the written service report did not document the specific findings, observed resin, worsening pressure, affected toilets/shower/faucets, or the recommended repairs that were discussed in person. We promptly asked them to correct the record, especially because the claim was being handled through our home warranty, but received no response. Instead, once the warranty claim was denied, we received a text saying the work order was complete, asking for a five-star review, and offering a discounted estimate for the non-covered work. The review request may technically be about the diagnostic visit, but the lack of follow-through, incomplete documentation, and failure to respond to a reasonable request for an accurate report are part of our experience with the company. For a serious and worsening plumbing issue, we expected clear written findings, timely communication, and a report that accurately reflected what the technician said was happening. We did not receive that.

Back in 2010 Jeff F. from Petro Plumbing did a great job hooking us up to the city sewer system,…read morebut in the years since, evidently their personnel has changed. This time, I called about a minor drip from the bath tub/shower spout. The plumber arrived and proceeded to check out the source of the drip, and in so doing broke off the old faucet "due to corrosion". So, now with the water shut off, the faucet had to be fixed or there would be no water flowing in the house. The plumber went to Menard's and brought back a Single Handle Pressure Balanced Tub & Shower Valve which he installed. Later, I discovered two problems: 1) This Single Handle Valve replaced my two handle faucet (one for water temperature and one for water pressure). Adjusting the new valve to where the water temperature is just right yields a low water flow--so low that it's a challenge to get soap out of one's hair. Calling Petro was of no help with no followup from the person answering their phone. 2) The charge I consider to be three times what it should have cost, especially with the low-flow results.
