He charged me $150 for diagnostic fee; took 3 days to get back to me to tell me the repair would cost $600 on top of the $150 I paid & that I might need a new washer (when mine was not old). He tried to sell me a used washer that he had for $850 and would apply the $150 to that cost and ultimately would cost $700! I knew he was cheating me, especially since I am elderly. I knew his strategy was to sell me his old washer & not to repair the one I had. I called another repair guy and he charged 80 to come for diagnostic. I gave him the make & model and he brought the part with him since he explained to me that that particular model 95% of those cases he knew the part that needed to be repaired and fixed it in 15 minutes, and the final cost to me was 300 total parts & labor, A MAJOR DIFFERENCE IN PRICE!! So SOMEONE decided to put shoes in my dryer and BOOOM that took its life.. (the dryer) A helpful employee at Home depot advised us to check this place for the part it needs.. Home depot didn't have it. This place has great prices on washers/dryers, refrigerators and some beautiful antique stoves. It's definitely worth a browse. They charge 150.. to come and look at it and they say if you agreed to get it fixed she said the 150 would be part of that cost but instead they didn't fix the leak and charged another 150 for the agitor and cleaned the lent from the dryer. The part whole part cost 60 but he didn't replace the whole part just the agitator rings for it. Don't do business here, they overcharge for everything and give no receipt. Please be aware. This was a strange experience. I had a dryer that was out of service. I called and had a repair person come out. The visit cost me $150 unrefundable. I was told that both mother boards were fried and it would cost me $900 / Before that he spent three days "Looking for the parts" Needless to say I did not move forward with the fix since the dryer only cost me $450 So the story gets better. I actually went to youtube and got some advice. I opened the dryer, looked at the part in question. It looked like it was in perfect condition. I unhooked it, cleaned it and put it back on. To my surprise it started working. Not only working but working better than before without any money out of pocket! If you have a repair please do your research. We are at the mercy of repair people and it is unfortunate that we are getting ripped off. I actually thought about fighting for my $150 back because I was lied to. But they wont do it. To say this place practices price gouging is an understatement. My refrigerator went out a few months past it's 2 year warranty. I paid this business $85 to come out and troubleshoot. I was told the part and installation would cost me roughly an additional $400 and would be delayed due to the pandemic. Something didn't sit well with this price quote so we hired another repairman to trouble shoot. The part needed was $54 through whirlpool and literally just snapped in. On Nov. 19 the problem returned again. Here are the responses from the woman who answered the phone: you have to wait until after Thanksgiving, the repair man is too busy, the repairman works too hard and services 12 calls a day, maybe next time he goes to your house I will go with him! The last comment was interesting. We hate to bother folks while they are at work. But if you can't repair appliances, maybe you should excel in answering the phone at a minimum? Perhaps hire another repair person, repair appliances right the first time...just sayin. Providing a multitude of photos on Yelp does not substitute for poor and down right rude service. read more

He said it was the main board and would cost more to fix than to get a new one but said they had plenty of great deals at their shop and even mentioned they had one just like mine for $300.00. I had a Maytag Neptune so I thought "Ok sounds like a great deal!" Well No. The $300.00 was a VERY OLD dirty dryer! The one like mine was $800.00! I could buy a new one for that price. We bought a dryer in July. It stopped working in July. Return it and picked up a second dryer. Second dryer didn't work. Returned it because they say there is a 30 day guarantee. They gave us a third dryer and the female owner told my teenage children she will not give us another one. She didn't tell the adult, she told children, which, I didn't hear about this until after we returned home. In other words the company would not stand by their appliances as stated on the receipt. I love the service I received. They went above and beyond to help me. My dryer burned out and I needed a quick replacement if I couldn't get it repaired. It turned out it was definitely beyond repair and they provided me with a replacement immediately which is what I needed. Next day unfortunately mhlosy refrigerator stopped working and Alicia immediately was on top of accommodating me. I have physical challenges and it wasn't going to be so easy for me to go to their store. Alicia (owner) was willing to do whatever was needed to help see what I was needing which I decided would be a freezer. She sent me pictures and it was an easy buy for me. Next day it was delivered. Alicia and Ithelo (husband) are very professional, very warm and friendly. I highly recommend their service. Finally the day came when I needed a washer and she refused to work with me on a discount for all the referrals I've given them. All I asked for was $40 off a $290 washer they was selling. She REFUSED. She wouldn't let the husband speak to me to negotiate as if she wore the pants and made the decisions. RUDE! I called several times over the month of November and she finally called in December and stated she was very busy and I would have to wait another 30 days before she could help us. Well I waited enough I called the gas company and indeed my stove was leaking gas. She put us in a dangerous situation. So I called Carolina's in east los Angeles I followed her instructions called the gas company and her service man was here within 24 hrs he found the problem and was in and out with no problems. I highly recommend Carolina's over Cohellos any day I dont know how cohellos keeps the doors open with her attitude that sucks. We came here on Thursday, November 10th looking for a gas stove. Like most people, the economy has hit us very hard and we only had a certain amount to spend. I called twice before we came and both times spoke to Alicia who was beyond helpful and very kind. When we arrived Thursday night it was after an extremely long day at work and I was exhausted. We were in and out, stove purchased and scheduled for delivery in less than five minutes. We were treated with respect and kindness, which is more than I have ever experienced at a Lowes or Home Depot. Delivery and set up was only $25, and Sears wanted to charge me $90! I could not recommend Coelhos more! The stove was delivered on time and was set up within two minutes, it was so quick. Again, I could not recommend this store more! We bought our washing machine and dryer from Coelhos when we bought our house. After looking around at the cost of new ones and the excellent price for a commercial grade washer and dryer, we decided on the used one. What a great choice. We had one minor problem after two year with the washer and Coelhos came and out and fixed it for a reasonable price. We are still hundreds of dollars ahead of what we would have paid for a new set.
