I called for parts but he and his employee were very helpful on telling me if I run into any issues installing the parts to just give them a call. Very friendly and willing to help even if it meant I was going to do the work myself. I hired Bob in the past to repair my dryer, he was very prompt and returned my call , came out for the repair, charged me a fair rate. Just recently my dryer wasn't working well and lint was backing up. He returned my call within minutes. He asked me to check if the vent was blocked. That was the problem, I had a lint trap bucket attached to my vent, and the rain filled it with water, blocking the lint trap. One of their technicians (Alex) came in after scheduling an appointment for my Kenmore 110 model dryer to replace the thermostat and coils on it (was no longer heating up to fry the clothes). Unfortunately we have to leave a negative review. We called to have our washer repaired. We were given the phone number to Alex to call to come out on Saturday morning between 10-12. Alex calls at 8:30 saying he's on his way ? We were not ready at 8:30 am and we had already agreed on a time. Alex says he will be there at 10 am. We waited until 11:30 and he didn't show up. He never called to say he's running late or anything. I sent a text message saying to cancel appointment. He finally calls and says he just arrived. I tell him what happened ? We have already canceled appointment, why are you here. He gets upset and says we made him come out for nothing, he hangs up on me. I was already thinking this guy was unreliable and now he hangs up on me. Extremely unprofessional. This guy is horrible and we have no confidence that he'd be able to fix anything. He couldn't even find the house let alone fix a washer machine. Do not call this fool. I don't know how they even pay their rent ?? Bad bad bad. read more

Our washer recently stopped functioning properly. Noticed that this place had pretty decent reviews. They said they were going to arrive on Tuesday afternoon but were no show and did not even courtesy call to let us know they were not coming. They showed up Wednesday morning after I had to call and make sure they didn't forget about the appointment. Communication is not their strong suit. They did fix the washer. One of the servicemen was nice and kind, however, the other man (possibly the owner) had serious attitude and was not wearing a mask and gave us attitude when we asked him to please wear one. He refused by responding with "what mask?" As if covid cases aren't growing and having no disregard for other people. The experience with this business was horrible due to the mans attitude and lack of respect for other people, especially PAYING CUSTOMERS. Grateful they fixed problem which was an imbalance on the foot of the washer, was charged extra... will not call them again. Check your attitude. read more

We have been using this company's services for years. Thankfully, not too often, but we generally try to repair instead of discard and buy new. When the nearly 20 year-old dryer finally expired, we contacted Dan and bought a fully refurbished used one from him. I was OK with a couple of laundromat visits while we waited a few days for Dan to fit us into his schedule, but my wife was not. Dan was able to rearrange his schedule and delivered and installed the dryer a couple of days earlier. The price was fair, the service prompt. Called Bob's Appliances a week ago after our washing machine started making strange noises during the agitation and spin cycles. I was told that Dan would be out the same day, but he did not show up; neither did we receive a phone call. A few days later, I was called and given the excuse that my contact was lost, even though I texted it. Dan came out finally on a Saturday, pulled the washer out, diagnosed it as a faulty transmission and said it would cost $500 to repair. He collected his $59.00 visitation fee and was out the door in less than 10 minutes. I'm pretty sure, based on my description of the issue, that an over-the-phone diagnosis would have been pretty accurate, but then who wouldn't want to collect $59.00 for five minutes of labor? Nonetheless, I thanked Dan for his honesty and rounded the check up to $60.00. So here's my advice: if your washer is over five years old and it starts making loud noise during the agitation or spin cycles, save the $59.00 consultation fee and just go buy yourself a brand new washer. Called early one morning when my refrigerator suddenly went out and left a message. He called back within a half hour, but by then I had diagnosed the part that needed to be replaced. I told him it appeared to be an easily accessed circuit board and I was pretty sure I could do it myself and he was very nice and even gave me the contact info for the closest place I could buy the part. The best! A few weeks ago our washing machine broke. I have a toddler and infant and we were just about to leave on a trip and he saved the day! He came quickly was able to identify the problem was honest, reliable and so affordable. My parents lives in La Habra Heights and their 20+ year Maytag washer has been unbalanced for awhile. We thought the issue was due to unbalanced legs. Well let me start by saying I have used Bob in the past for my dryer and washer repairs. In the past I remember he said don't ever get rid of this washer and dryer because they don't make them the same anymore AND you have a great washer and dryer! Well this past time when the spin stopped working on my washer Bob sent out one of his guys. The guy stated he would take my washer and bring it back in the next 2 days. Little did I know that would be the last time I saw my washer. Bob called and let my husband know what he was going to repair. My husband approved. Bob showed up the next day with a totally different washing machine. I said that's not my washing machine. He said The part that we replaced your top piece would not fit anymore. So he pursued to tell the the whole inside of the machine was mine but the entire outside was definitely not mine. It was older, beat up and one of the buttons did not work. I expressed my opinion of this machine being beat up but Bob said I promise you it will run like a Mercedes! Nope! I text him that night and expressed I'm not happy with one of the knobs not working and I want my machine back. He said a knob on my machine broke AFTER he took it. He brought me yet another machine. I'm still so upset that this machine is older! Who knows if the interior of the machine is mine. My washer and dryer are no longer matching. I will never use Bob again! There is this thing called the "BUT Factor". The BUT Factor is, "I went to this restaurant to eat, the food was great BUUUT, the wait was too long!!! The negative part of their experience is the BUT Factor, the thing that kicks you in the A-- and destroys all companies! We've known Dan forever. My parents used to call his father when their appliances broke down, so Dan must have at least 30 years of experience. We have been calling him to repair our appliances for over 20 years. He is friendly, professional, honest and reasonably priced. I called a few other places to get a quote but apparently Daewoo is difficult to work on since they really don't sell the parts here (Korean brand).
