I have eaten here several times, they used to be good. I have notice over the last several months the service has been awful. I understand you need to hire young people, but at least train them properly!!!! I had send my rare steak back twice because they kept giving me WELL DONE MEAT! I've been here since 1985 and have seen this place go downhill. We decided to just have chips, salsa, cheese, guacamole and French onion soup. The salsa tasted like it was from a can. The cheese came out with a thick skin on top. Guacamole was very bland. Soup was also bland. Server NOT EVEN ONCE came by to see if all was good. Such a shame. I used to love it there. I'm here in Tampa Palm Harbor for a month this time and I really needed to go to Cody's Original Roadhouse. Each time I visit here this is one of my stops. Today we encountered a new waitress Morgan who said that this is only her second week working here. Morgan was very on point from the start very attentive and excellent customer service skills. The All you can eat salad was amazing and the warm bread with the delicious cinnamon butter spread made my mouth water. My delicious and well seasoned filet mignon came out 100% perfection and no fat and great taste. The garlic mashed potatoes were excellent as well. My niece ordered the chicken and she was extremely satisfied. Hopefully the next time come back to Cody's I'll have Morgan as a waitress again. Have always driven by Cody's and wanted to try it. Finally stopped here on Father's Day for lunch. They weren't too busy, which was nice. We got seated fast. The inside has a small dining room and the other side is the bar. We had fast service. We started with the potato skins, which were very thick. They were super good and had all the toppings. I had the burger and fries, which were very juicy and good quality. My mom had the fried shrimp which you could tell refresh. I have been going to Cody's Road House in Tarpon Springs for almost 31 of the 32 years that they have been in business and have always had a good experience until now. 8/19/2026 at 815pm a party of four myself included went to dinner here there was almost nobody in the restaurant...our server Nicole seemed to have an attitude my wife noticed right off the bat...I asked for waters for four and lots of bread and butter (which is free and we love with our salads) and a glass of wine which never came...Nicole came back with 4 pieces of bread and we thought ok will get more when ready...after ordering we asked for more bread and butter she said on Wednesdays the only give one order which is bull****, I asked her why and she said its fajita day??? I said we always get another order we wanted more and would be happy to pay for it...she walked away and came back and said she would bring one more order and that's it (like we were committing a crime)... Just then Bill the Manager walked over and inquired what was wrong (He already knew) and I stated you always give customers as much bread as they ask for...He immediately said I'm not hear to be attacked as soon as I walk up if you don't like it you can leave over bread. I thought "WOW who are you?" So we did got up and walked out...and on the way out he stated "Don't Ever Come Back"! (of course My Wife and Son heard it, I didn't as I would have walked back and professionally told him off... As a 40 year Business Owner in Palm Harbor and Millionaire I was floored to be treated in that way...and never have been...We were respectful and courteous the whole time. Don't go within 75 minutes of closing time. The staff will be doing their side work and the kitchen will be shutting down and you will be treated like you are non-existent. We have visited this place for decades but currently would not think of stepping a foot back in there. For the $ there are too many other nice places to get a really good steak and really good service. Been to Cody's over the past 8 years-it is good enough to bring me back-great service, excellent happy hours specials and a good range of food to choose from. As with any steakhouse, they depend on the supplier to deliver good quality as well as the chef to cook steaks, prime rib according to request. Thus lies the problem. Had prime rib yesterday-was excellent-had prime rib a few months ago-not so good. So while the food at times is below par-for the most part they are spot on. The staff hustles, is very friendly and it's an excellent atmosphere. We will continue to go to Cody's and hope people continue as well. read more

Hadn't been here for awhile and not sure why it's been so long. It's hardly a classy steakhouse, but it's a fun place with a high energy atmosphere. When you arrive, there are buckets of peanuts on the table. Years ago. The thing to do was to toss the shells on the floor (just part of the atmosphere), but now they offer empty buckets for the shells. I have to admit that their house endless salad is delicious & now a favorite of mine! For dinner, Hubs had the t-bone which was done to a very nice medium rare. It seems to be missing the juicy part of the t-bone (notice the picture) but he still enjoyed it. My ribeye was done perfectly medium rare & was juicy & very flavorful. We both had a loaded baked potato as our side & they were wonderful. Just a word of caution, it is extremely loud in this place but I think that is also part of the overall ambiance. They said there is bike parking so I took my electric scooter to this location. I couldn't find a spot to park it and so I decided to park it along the side on a pillar at the front. After being asked how many in my party and taking me to a table, the manager named Bill took it upon himself to let me know it was a violation to have my electric scooter there and that they needed the space in the event an ambulance arrived. Mind you, there was PLENTY of room considering my scooter was tucked away. I asked: "Ok so where do I put it?" His response was "Well, you can put it somewhere in the back I don't know." Mind you I am a paying customer and his desire was to make me put it "in the back somewhere I dont know" when it is clearly advertised as "bike-friendly" and not being aware of where bikes go tells me he didn't give a crap about me when I was simply using my scooter which nobody gives me trouble about save for this one instance at Codys and Bill here. Honestly it's rather sad that I had to deal with that when he wouldn't dare talk like that if it were a party of 5 or something. Regardless, I didn't enjoy being treated like someone who's there to cause trouble when I didn't do anything to warrant the scolding I got from Bill for daring to be environmentally conscious to take an electric scooter here. Our God forbid you asked to sit in a booth and not a table right in the middle of the walkway leading to a whole row of boots that are wide open with nobody sitting in them they have a breakdown. And when you ask to speak to the management because there's something not up to par they are even more rude than the staff. Now let's talk about the food average or below average. I had the fried haddock it was brown. My potato was so hard on the outside the inside portion of the potato was sweet and tender and soft but the outside was hard as a rock. Order an appetizer they put it on your table but they don't give you any small plates to eat them on you have to ask. I asked twice for spicy sauce to dip my shrimp in I never got it.
