We had a 2 hour party for about 14 kids. She had a helper in as well. The studio at the Main squeeze was so spacious and well lit, Kids were placed at a safe distance on each table. She had them start out with decorating goody bags and then introduced tracing the outline, tracing each parts and then gently guiding them towards the painting the colors in. She and her helper did their best to help kids out with the tracing and outlining. She kept the kids very engaged and as the canvas dried she made an air dry clay unicorn horn with them. Of course every 6 year old wants to put various colored crystals on their unicorn horns! As everything was drying she did a small song/dance party for the kids. The goody bags were filled with candies and cute stuff. My daughter loved her birthday party and her friends enjoyed it as well. Highly recommend this place for any kind of art parties and seeing how patient of a teacher she is, if you are inclined towards art classes, she would be a great choice.

I think this is my first time ever being a Y member! This…read moreis affordable and perfect for myself and kids. The location is super convenient which means we will get lots of use! So far we have been enjoying ourselves. We spend most of the time at the pool. The pool hasn't ever been crowded but we haven't been on the weekends. Every quarter til, they blow the whistle for "adult only swim". That is cool and makes the kids take a break and also I good time to leave if you can't get your kids away. We also signed up for swim lessons. I'm not a huge fan of the swim program this far. No opportunity to make up missed lesson and they are short staffed. We probably won't continue once school starts. The instructor seems to not be able to engage all kids in the group lesson and my kid did his own thing the entire 30mins. I attended a cycling class and that was fun. They have a "summer concert series" theme going on. Childcare is available and convenient. I love this option. There is a subway on site which we have used multiple times when we don't pack snacks for the pool. Over all, we love it here!

Our son (7mo now) has been going since he was 3mo old and I have peace of mind knowing he's well cared for in the infant room. They don't just put your baby in a bouncer and call it a day. They interact with the babies and give them age appropriate activities to make sure they're hitting their milestones and giving them love and attention. My daughter has loved all of her teachers and even grown a special bond with one of the teachers she's gotten to have in her infant room and her toddler room. It's the sweetest! The toddler room seems so fun for our new 2 year old with lots of arts and crafts and learning activities (she learned how to count to five in what seemed like a week)! They also have a Spanish class every day which I love. The new gym they recently added on is really nice for the kids during gym time- it's just like an elementary size school gym so lots of room for kids to get rid of energy. The building is well kept and they've been doing upgrades as needed- they just got new floors. The staff has always been very kind and helpful! Krista the director has been amazing! We get weekly lesson plans and a monthly newsletter with everything that'll be happening. I'm so happy my babies are safe and happy here, we love it!

We do summer camps, in-school workshops for pre-schoolers through 8th graders, birthday parties, after school programs, library programs, stuff for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and really BIG science shows for audiences at schools, community centers, etc. It's so much fun!! His lead and assistant teachers were consistent throughout the year (no constant turnover and drama like we experienced at his previous center). The classrooms were spacious and well-equipped, and also serves as an instructional center for IUPUI students studying early education. We especially liked the STEM program as the class progressed through multi-week thematic units based on the children's current interests (e.g. simple machines, dinosaurs, castles, camping). Students use a blend of technology and tactile materials and toys, and our son was even able to read and comprehend short stories before leaving for kindergarten. There are a number of ways for parents to get involved as the classrooms go on numerous field trips and the center hosts family events and open houses. Class updates and pictures are provided via the Tadpoles app throughout the week. Parent conferences are held twice a year. The center is professionally managed by IUPUI and a friendly, new, hands-on director was just hired in spring of 2019. We would recommend the center to anyone working, studying, or living in the downtown area.
