He looks forward to going to his VEX IQ Beginner class every week. The instructor takes the time to email parents a summary of what activities they did and what they learned after every class which I find to be very helpful. The lab is located in a shopping center with ample parking. There's a Dollartree and Grocery Outlet next door so you can do your shopping right after drop off which I find as an added bonus. They offer a free trial class so consider taking advantage of that to see if your child is interested in robotics.

The place is a place where kids can I have but also be safe. the summer program is WOW they feed the kids and have a lot of fun. VEX IQ is amazing way to let kids learn but also when they are better they can do stuff harder there is no limit. The lab is in a great area and it is always fun to go to shop and get a snack right before or after. I think you should go with the free trail to see if your kid likes it. I love the summer camp last year they went to the tae kwon do last year and everybody had a blast. So just see if your kid likes it

Our instructor Kristen (and the blonde instructor -- forgot her name) were patient and encouraging throughout the entire class. Kristen's in depth explanation + demonstration was easy to follow as a beginner, but the instructors frequently made their rounds to work with everyone individually, giving advice and feedback. Despite the class session only being 2 hrs, I felt like I was able to focus on improving basic skills and learning new techniques. Even if you don't have any interest in pottery, I HIGHLY recommend taking a class regardless. The space is welcoming, and it was a great (and fun) way to release stress creatively :) looking forward to how my pieces come out!

Their one time workshops are great for trying out a new hobby without the commitment. I took the…read morematcha bowl and whisk holder making class. It was a full class and the instructor patiently explained each step. Before you sign up, make sure to read the description carefully. There are hand-building classes and wheel throwing classes. Hand-building is hand molding and you don't work with the wheel. My one-time matcha bowl and whisk holder making class was hand-building and we don't get to decorate or glaze it. Instead, you get to pick from a selection of paint colors and their team finish glazing and fire it for you. You also need to wait about 6 weeks for it to be ready for pick up, which is standard for community pottery places. I picked the white paint with specks which I regretted. The glaze came back with some uneven spots and a dark brown mark on the outside. Since the studio glazed it for us, I was a little disappointed with the final result. Pottery definitely tests your patience and perfectionism. Not sure if pottery is for me, but I might come back for their wheel throwing class.

We started here in January and my girls have tried all the instructors at the Monrovia location,…read moreand I can say in confidence that the male instructors here on Thursdays are so amazing. You can pay extra to stick with one, but my girls love them all! The pool is indoors, warm, and the instructors are super patient. They know how to push the kids to improve, yet still be kind at the same time. We took a few classes at Waterworks before and they couldn't swim independently whatsoever. However, after just 3 classes here, my girls are swimming with such confidence! Biggest, biggest downside (for the 1 star down) is the admin side. The main girl in the front is so disorganized. We were told we could use one account for both kids (not true), and scheduling gets mixed up. Had to go back and forth to get even one make-up class because we were not informed to download their app. I had the biggest headache communicating with her by phone and text. Nevertheless, still highly recommend for beginners... just make sure to download their app and stay on top of your account!

It was our first time so I'm not sure of the whole process just assumed they would be open by now to get ready. 2:31 someone finally opens the door, 2:35 our instructor is putting lotion on saying he'll be right with us. There's a roach in the pool and one of the instructors yells out to the other one asking if he saw it. They then ask my child if they want to see it, it was a clear NO. But they took it up for a closer view. Like what??? When class is over, I approach the receptionist to sign up for more lessons since their website is so difficult. She's on her phone and doesn't even look up but just puts her finger up telling me to wait. I waited about 4 minutes (meanwhile she's still on her phone) and right when I was walking away she's like "hi how can I help?" RIDICULOUS. Will take my money elsewhere considering this being our first time there, it wasn't pleasant.

What transpired there with my daughter has essentially ruined her life. My daughter has learning differences , not on the spectrum. We had complained about a boy who my daughter said was obsessed with her. We requested for her to not be in the same classroom as this boy, request denied. Then one day her mood shifted and she cried every morning not wanting to go to school. She couldn't tell us what happened. It was too traumatic for her to voice it. She was in 4th grade. Her behavior was very anxious and not able to stay in the classroom. They tried to accommodate her by spending time in the principles office. She was still not able to stop panicking. We had to take her out. 5 years of therapy later it was revealed she was sexually assaulted in the bathroom by the boy. She is still traumatized by it and probably always will be. We have been through hell. Suicide attempts , inability to focus, an eating disorder etc etc etc. she is now in 10th grade having to be held back a year because of lost class time due to the trauma. And disgustingly this was not an isolated instance. The one family we became close to who also left discover the same boy sexually assaulted their son. I'm not saying the school itself is awful in sure there are amazing experiences and caring teachers. And for many we met there this is the only option so you naturally choose to accept or maybe turn a blind eye to red flags. I don't know if the head of school has changed but she was awful. Good luck!
