After a disastrous wedding meal for about 200 guests, I have contacted the chef and owner, Mr…read more Amicucci, to let him know the two families were humiliated and unhappy. Poor food quality was and remains our main concern. Our upsets include: 1. overcooked filet mignons, manicottis with dried up sauce, mushy vegetables (after a fabulous tasting experience) 2. a salad served as its own course adding at least 30 minutes to the evening and therefore impacting on the doneness of the meat, on the start of the dance... 3. the timeline put together not followed 3. the lack of customer service: answering concerns only after a BBB complaint has been made 4. Mr. Amicucci relying on "unbiased" and initially "anonymous" vendors from the venue to support his claims and pointing to concerns having nothing to do with issue at hand 5. Mr. Amicucci stating that he can't establish whether guests were happy because opinions are too biased at this point His reasons for not being at fault are: 1. I am inaccurate in relating events 2. O'Malley's was faced with a challenging situation. Service in a more timely manner was impossible because of verbal abuse (by others than myself, the customer and complainant) after main entree was served and guests not seated for staff to finish service. 3. The food was consumed Since Mr. Amicucci was not on location, he says he is backed up by vendors from the venue, namely the dj, the bartenders and the wedding planners. However, the bartenders were not served food and can't talk to its quality. The DJ from Dynamic Solutions had a fabulous filet mignon, does not recall whether the salad was served as a single course and did state he started the dance at about 10 pm. As far as the wedding planner, she spoke with me twice during the meal and asked Mr. Amicucci's staff to relate to him what happened. She spoke with him afterwards. Yet, the chef is "dumbfounded" that she changed her tone. She does not share "his sentiments" and attests my facts are not "invalid" as he claims. She confirmed the salad was out of order and an individual course which slowed down service because the staff was waiting for a speech scheduled after pasta. She had to start the dance by 10 pm as things were running too far behind. She did say her filet was ok. Overall, this successful business (earned excellent reviews, supports the community, and has been voted best caterer in Newmarket for about 18 years) will not directly acknowledge their errors, offer an apology or aim for a respectful and fair resolution. Please note that as the only vendor for our chosen venue, he is guaranteed 3 celebrations a week, all paid in full giving the customer no leverage. Please also note that reviews are done by extremely happy and extremely upset customers and do not show a true reflection of the business.

Finally, an excellent pizza place north of the city!…read more I finally got around to trying Molisana and I think we've ended our search for great pizza in Aurora/Newmarket. After working in Woodbridge for a few years, I was spoiled with a lot of good pizza options and sadly I had such a hard time finding really good pizza. This is really good pizza! You walk in and the delicious smell of pizza and tomato sauce fills your nose. It's a real treat. The space itself is clean and spacious. Last I went the seating area was closed off, I'm not sure if that has changed now that indoor dining is permitted again, but I'd say this is mostly a take-out type of place. The first time we went we ordered a slice of pizza and a veal sandwich. The pizza was reheated in the oven and it was crispy on the bottom and chewy and cheesy on the top. The sauce was a bit sweet, tart and fresh tasting which is how I like it. It was an excellent slice of pizza. The veal sandwich was also great, it comes with all the toppings except cheese which is a $1 and some change extra. We always opt for cheese but it was nice that the extras like mushrooms and peppers are included in the price. Again, this was tasty, smothered in that same tomato sauce in a nice crusty but soft bun. The second and third time we came, we called them directly to order a party sized pizza and we also tried a rosé pasta. The pizza is massive and it was only $24 + tax plus it comes with pepperoni. Additional toppings are extra. It could truly feed a party, we had leftovers for days! The rosé pasta was SO good. So rich and creamy, it was from their hot plate selection so don't expect Al Dente noodles but it was so yummy, I cleaned the dish. Again, this was reasonable for around $10-$11 and it was a large portion. Service is prompt, I've ordered twice over the phone and they've been friendly and my order was always ready and hot when I arrived to pick it up. The store also stocks a few Italian groceries and frozen items like lasagnas, pastas, and sauces. Prices seem decent considering the brands they stock, they seem to all be imported or made in house items. Overall I'm so happy to have found our new pizza place. I'm also looking forward to trying some other items like their deli sandwiches and dinner plates. As a pizza snob, this is the best we've found in the Aurora/Newmarket area and we'll keep coming back for more!

This…read morewas good because I had driven past this place forever, assuming it was just for catering. I ordered the Chicken Kabob with rice and salad for $13. The takeout plate was massive! The kabob was tender, moist chicken breast with nice flavour. The salad dressing appeared to be scratch made, somewhat like a 1000 Island. I couldn't get through half the meal. This is not like a standard lunch joint in an industrial area. Nicely decorated, bright and colourful, this place could be in a mall. If I needed to slip out to a place for a quick lunch with a business associate, this would be a top choice. They also serve breakfast, but opening at 9AM is a bit of a problem.

Service was ok but at the end of the night when we asked for the check, we were surprised that they had added "live band" fees in there which was 15 dollars per person. all and all, we had to pay for two meals and "live band" fees for two people and HST for the two of us. You can imagine for a half ass meal and all the charges worked out to be over 100 dollars. COMPLETELY OUTREGOUS. BE AWARE OF HIDDEN FEES "LIVE BAND" charges. never going back there again.

We ordered a smash burger, shrimp po' boy, fries and the potato salad. They take credit card which is great and the prices are super reasonable, all that food was $30. Definitely competitive. Your order through the back, it seems like a garage but it's a full service kitchen. The guys working there are really nice and welcoming. We waited about 10 minutes for our food, the gentleman taking our order kept letting us know our food was coming out shortly. I think they cook everything to order which is great! We ate a couple of fries in the car and they were amazing. Super fresh, piping hot, perfectly salted. Just like a fry truck. Definitely 10/10. The potato salad is also unreal, a mix of different types of potatoes, including sweet potatoes and a nice dilly, creamy dressing. Super unique but also surprisingly delicious. My shrimp po' boy was awesome also, shrimp were cooked nicely, perfect snap when I bit into them, I loved the remoulade sauce, fresh tomatoes and lettuce and the bun was nice and soft, definitely a solid sandwich. My husband got the smash burger which was juicy and messy, after a few bites though he noticed it was super raw and mushy towards the middle so he had to microwave it for a minute. We thought maybe they cook their burgers to medium but the texture was mushy and didn't seem right so we nuked it to be safe. This was a bit of a bummer to an otherwise amazing meal. We would try this again for sure, I'm not sure if the burger was meant to be like this or if it was a one-off, but after microwaving it, it was still really yummy. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family, prices are good, kind of like a food truck experience with elevated food choices. Flavours we're spot on for us, other than the burger being raw, it was super tasty.
