I also ordered food from Shishir for a work event, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive from people who love spicy food as well as those who were worried that Indian food would be too spicy for them. The portion sizes are generous, so you don't need order a lot extra 'just in case'. You can let him know the levels of spice that would work for your audience. Shishir is also quite well versed in adapting to the flavour profiles of various south asian cuisines, so if you're looking for something with a specific flair, he can certainly make those adjustments (he's done this for my family and friends many times). Delivery is extra, so keep that in mind.

The appetizers, main meal and desserts were all exceptional. I am not a fan of eating Indian food outside of the home but I must say, this really tasted like a home cooked meal. The food was not oily, the spices were home made and my request to not have garlic and to keep it mild were met. I will definitely use this catering company again. Thank you Rajan, Ritu and of course Chef for making my event a truly memorable one.

This is what you call real Chinese homestyle cooking! I was actually getting tired of ordering…read moreChinese food as most places had the same dishes. A friend of mine who moved to my neighbourhood told me about this place and how she and her husband orders takeout from here quite regularly. (You can check out their dinner menu online!) I was really impressed with the dishes that they had on their dinner menu. These were typical dishes that my mom would make like steamed minced pork with mui choy (preserved sweet mustard greens--salty vegetables). This was by far the best steamed pork I've ever had! I just need a bowl of steamed rice with it and I'm totally satisfied! We got their 4 dish combo for $59.99 and 10% off in cash which is quite reasonable and the combo includes traditional Chinese soup. The other dishes were just as good. One of which was the pork chop with peking sauce that was perfectly done...the sauce was not too overpowering and pork chop was so juicy. Friday night takeout is usually sushi but now it's going to be Chinese food from Longevity!

I'd say that Chinese Cantonese restaurants have been trending toward higher end decor and Instagram…read moreworthy seafood dishes in the last decade. While there's nothing wrong with that, whatever the restaurants decide to serve, the bottom line is they got to serve something that tastes good and give customers value for their money. I honestly don't care for slivers of edible gold leafs on top of a bun since it doesn't enhance the taste one bit. Longevity Catering bucks the trend by going against the grain. Regular looking but delicious dim sum at reasonable prices are served at Longevity. The place totally gives off that 90s Cantonese restaurant vibe with the disposable white table clothes; there's nothing fancy going on here. And did I mention they serve dim sum all day (and night)? It's pretty hard to find a place like this anymore around the GTA. I've never sat in to eat here, but I have ordered takeout dim sum 10+ times. There's nothing I've ordered that disappointed me from congee to deep fried items to steamed dim sums to desserts. I'd be writing a thesis paper here if I have to go through all of them in detail. My personal favorites are their deep fried dumplings 鹹水角, deep fried squid tentacles, Chiu Chou dumplings, steamed bean curd sheet rolls and the golden runny (in typical Chinese restaurant fashion, they goofed on the grammar and spelling and called it the running egg yolk bun, which sounds a bit scary if you ask me). I can say with certainty that the quality of dim sum here rivals if not supersedes most expensive Cantonese restaurants in the GTA. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's a smallish, non-descript restaurant hidden in a Richmond Hill strip plaza. Longevity Catering deserves your attention!

Nothing I would wish on any business so how do we help them make it through these unprecedented times? Well, we try their foods and tell the world about them! This is my first caterer/food delivery service review. I thought I could cook my way through all this chaos - but there are only so many meals and variations I can do with meat, kimchi, and lettuce! OMG! I don't remember how many bowls of instant ramen has passed through my well developing spare tire around my gut! I'm taking that Covid-19lbs challenge serious! LOL! I've been asked to try some various foods and endorse them but it's not my thing. Unless I like it, I won't post it or I might POST a real humzinger of a post if I really disliked something. I had some thaw and chaw (usually raw) dinners. -.- I had some heat and eat - yeah... that didn't go right. :( I had some take and make - hmm... this has promise. I like take and make. You still have to prep it. You can get creative with the starch (sorry keto-peeps) and veggies (yes, I said veggies... veggiemaniacs revel in that statement! You might be hard pressed to see it again!) :D Presidential Gourmet makes food prep easy and bang on. Just follow the heating instructions on their label and you can't go wrong. I made their Maple Salmon - 5 mins in boiling water and a perfect medium rare. 7mins will give you medium - whatever you fancy it was a great meal. The Chimichurri Flank Steak was so perfect. Put in the oven or on a BBQ - 12mins later... Ta-da!!! Just check out my plated pics! FYI - I don't have a bbq...so sad. Dang it for living in a condo with a no BBQ on the Balcony rule! BUT...It was perfectly done in a toaster oven! Ye-yah! True Story!!! :) I also had the Shepherds Pie. A little salty for my taste but it is supposed to be had with some plain starch which would balance it. All in all, I'm looking forward to placing an order with them again soon. Talking about ordering, it's not a place that makes a bunch of food and freezes it. That's the beauty of this place. They make it and take it to you - vacuum sealed bags and not frozen! They deliver twice per week. Order by Tues night, get it Friday. Order by Fri night, get it Tuesday. Simple enough. I'm fresh out of Salmon because my kid devoured two steaks in one sitting with all the Paella. The other kid on his visit had the steak. He also took the lasagna and the remaining shepherds pie with him! Bottomless stomachs! I wish I could be like that again - that way my spare tire would like a bicycle tire! LOL! CHEERS!!!!
