My stepdad lost his wife to cancer. He's legally blind, and while living lone for a month during…read morethe short battle with cancer, he didn't have a beard trim. My mother provided it before, but I wasn't ready to take over the process yet. I brought him in to the salon, for a trim. The stylist cleaned him up quite nicely, sculpting the facial hair deftly, and bringing better definition to what had become rather rough. It was nice, quiet, efficient, and fast. Lovely place, and if my wife and I lived closer, I'd be recommending this salon to her.

Full highlights quoted $350. Mind blown. Half highlights quoted $200. I asked for light highlights…read more She said she would have to restart on my already highlighted (with roots) hair. That's fine. I still have paid just around $150ish, even when I started and restarted the highlighting process. My hair is mid length, just below shoulders and looked "puffy" (Caucasian / Hispanic frizz) bc I washed, brushed and didn't straighten beforehand. I have been going to similar salon/spa in yorktown to get my hair done at a salon that is gorgeous inside and out. Same at my old Virginia Beach salon. Average pay is around $150ish for cut and full highlight! (I had to Google what the common costs were bc the owner was a bit snarky on my review. I'm not crazy! $350 is like NYC 2022 highlight prices or high end. Toner is only supposed to add a small amount extra.) I would understand if charged more for a super cute spa facility (see outside photos - it's in the corner of a big lots shopping center), or if the prices listed online would've given me any heads up, but what a waste of time to get a consultation at a seemingly hole-in-the-wall facility at such an excessive cost. (The inside was way cuter than the outside, but I wouldn't be comfortable walking around the area at night...)

I love this salon. However, multiple stylist work here and I can only speak on the two I…read moreconsistently see as a client. First the owner/stylist Ebony is amazing. I have ALOT of natural thick curly hair and I have never been disappointed. I go to her to get my hair straightened/trimmed/treatments. She is extremely affordable. I have heard that she has multiple assistants but I have only seen Ashley. Her assistant Ashley is efficient. Ashley shampoos/conditions/blow drys and Ebony does everything else. I'm not the type to let just anyone touch my hair. Making appointments is easy as she uses style seat (make sure you bring cash) and I have never left with heat damage when It was time to rock my curls. The only negative i can think of would be: Most of the stylists there are social so don't be surprise if they pause on your hair to discuss the latest event. That can be annoying if you are on a tight schedule but honestly her work is worth the wait. (See my 5 stars) Next stylist is the nail technician Regina!!!! I love love love her work. She's pretty dope too. I seriously think I go to the best nail tech in Hampton Roads. Her prices are NOT the same as the nail shops in the food lion shopping center and her work and the salons atmosphere show you why. It's normally just you and her during your time slot which is a lot different from the get in get out atmosphere of those chain nail shops. I have long natural nails that Regina helped me grow. I have never had a nail break, jewel fall off, or polish chip since i have been a client. I have never shown her a design that i wanted that she could not do. She keeps up with the latest trends in nail designs and is always ordering new colors and jewels to compliment every ones nails. She is frequently booked up. Like months out and that would be the only negative. But that speaks to her skills. I love this Salon!!!

Well so far I'm a little annoyed because my hair stylist sent me a text five minutes before my…read moreappointment stating her assistant would be on the way to do my hair because she was having car trouble, well I'm here and she's still not and on top of that when I walked in some hair stylist with a stank face was staring at me instead of greeting me so I said hello first then she spoke. Y'all know I'm a stickler for greeting people when they enter the establishment. My appointment was for 10:00am it's been seven minutes and still no assistant. Now she's here at 10:10 and running her mouth with the other stylists about what she did last night all while I'm sitting at the wash bowl waiting on her. It's 10:20 I'm finally getting my hair washed. She was patiently detangling my hair which is important for curly hair. Then I get under the dryer and she went to speak with a stylist and then she left so after 10 minutes I saw the owner Ebony and asked if she could squeeze me in because I needed a trim and I'm not going to allow an unlicensed assistant cut my hair. She was very nice and called the girl to see where she was then the girl came back with an attitude saying I did t ask her for a trim and I replied I did r know I needed one until I saw my hair half way dried. Ebony took me upstairs and had her assistant start to dry my hair when she notified me that my hair was still dirty and asked if I wanted her to wash it again. I said yes and she was thorough ensuring my scalp was clean. Then she took me to the chair to blow dry and boy did it hurt but I guess I have a tender head. Anyway while Ashley was blow drying my hair the other assistant with the attitude kept coming upstairs to ask her when she would be finished with me and Ashley kept telling her she didn't know. After I was dry Ebony the owner came to cut my hair and she was apologetic and thanked me for my patience which I appreciated. Finally I had to go back downstairs to the assistant who's name I was never given because she didn't introduce herself. I sat in the chair so she could braid my real hair in corn rows and she was on the phone with a guy the entire time, on FACETIME so unprofessional. Then she's talking to the other stylist saying she had a doctors appointment but had to cancel because of me as if it's my fault she didn't know what she was doing so someone else had to take over. After she was finished I had to pay her after already paying the deposit to the LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST who was not present I still paid FULL PRICE for some high school kid to do my hair!! I was fuming but had another engagement so didn't have time to fuss but I will NEVER go to this stylist again or anyone that I have to pay a deposit for. With that being said the shop is nice, good atmosphere and the owner Ebony is very professional and welcoming so I may return when I want my hair straightened with her or a wig from Nakita but I don't plan on visiting Iesha anytime soon. I have also tried contacting Iesha the stylist I was supposed to see to inform her of my experience but have heard nothing back. Just beware when you have to pay a deposit.
