I came in requesting a loc petal bob and left with what looked like a loc petal pixie with a side part--a completely different style. When I expressed in the chair that I was unhappy with the result, the stylist asked if I liked it, and I honestly said no "It felt like I went in for a full blowout and left with my ends bumped". She stated earlier in my appointment that she needed to leave abit early due to a doctor's appointment, otherwise I would have asked her to do over again immediately. I was in tears after my appointment. Later that day, she followed up and again asked if I liked the style. I reiterated that I did not and politely asked if I could schedule a restyle before an important event that weekend, She said yes and asked for my availability. I let her know I was available Friday or Saturday after 12. I received no response all weekend but a invoice on monday morning. When I asked whether the restyle would be included or if I needed to pay again, she said I'd have to pay again. I responded that I'd go ahead and pay the invoice, but that I would no longer be returning to Flawless. Her response was unprofessional and dismissive: "You are completely wrong in every way", and "The style was done correctly. Doing it over for free is in my discretion and paying me for a service that I provided is not a favor to me". What hurt the most was how she handled the situation. In all my years as a client, I've never asked for a restyle. There have been times I wasn't completely happy with the outcome or felt self-conscious about my hair, but I still trusted the process and remained loyal. This time, the result looked nothing like what I asked for, and I was made to feel like my concerns didn't matter. This review isn't written out of spite, but from genuine disappointment. Clients deserve to be heard, respected, and treated with care--especially after years of loyalty with her company.

The stylist said she'd have me out by 1200 instead I sat in the shop for 5 hours. Once the hair was installed I had a hairline like George Washington, I couldn't part the hair without bleached hair from bleaching the knots and the hair wasn't secured with the got to be glue. Visibly upset I expressed my dissatisfaction with the owner who was gracious at the time however when I contacted her back to correct the work she did not contact me back until I mentioned legal action. At that point she text me telling me not to threaten her. Not once did the owner address the pictures I sent her of the damage done to my scalp from the installation but she did address she had other clients who come first and she wasn't going to adjust her schedule for me. Mind you, she didn't respond back until I mentioned legal action so there was no way of me knowing I was at the bottom of her "to do" list. I took the hair out after a week because I couldn't take it anymore. Bottom line is go to this shop at your own risk. Make sure to clear your schedule for the day, eat prior to going and pack a lunch (and possibly dinner). You'll need it! No stars from me.

I spent an additional $250 at a different salon to fix his highlighting mistakes. Sean took 5 hours and charged me $390 for a haircut and highlights that takes 2 hours and costs $260 at a high end salon in Washington DC. To top it off, I was left with lots of breakage and unsightly bleeders where the color expanded during processing and leaked out of the top of the foils. When prompted to apply a toner by the person who washed my hair, he said no. He was aware of the issue and did nothing to fix it. I didn't see all the bleeders until I got home, because of the way he styled my hair to hide his mistakes, I've allowed enough time to pass since this unfortunate incident to thoughtfully consider how to word this review.

I have been going to similar salon/spa in yorktown to get my hair done at a salon that is gorgeous inside and out. Same at my old Virginia Beach salon. Average pay is around $150ish for cut and full highlight! (I had to Google what the common costs were bc the owner was a bit snarky on my review. I'm not crazy! $350 is like NYC 2022 highlight prices or high end. Toner is only supposed to add a small amount extra.) I would understand if charged more for a super cute spa facility (see outside photos - it's in the corner of a big lots shopping center), or if the prices listed online would've given me any heads up, but what a waste of time to get a consultation at a seemingly hole-in-the-wall facility at such an excessive cost.
