I make it a point to visit the best coffee shops in every city I visit and despite their random suburban location, this one is among, if not The, best espresso pull I've had. And I love the shop. It is so far from the urban chic decor with which I'm accustomed when I visit quality coffee shops. This one feels like it was decorated on a somewhat limited budget, but it's homie and warm and reminds me of a place I would have loved to hang out at in high school. January 13, 2021 I have been giving my business to Cocoon coffee since the day they open their doors, as I work right across the street, and it is easy to pull through the drive-through and get my coffee in the morning.I have never had a problem with the staff or the service; everyone is usually friendly and upbeat and thrilled to provide quality service. However, this morning was different than most. I pulled to the window, placed my order for coffee, and realized that I didn't remember the young lady's name that waited on me. I politely said, "I'm sorry, I am Jack, but I cannot remember your name." She looked at me and said, "I don't tell people my name." Just imagine my surprise - rather than saying hi, I am Tina, or Shelly, Brenda, or just having a nameplate with the first name on it like at, say, Starbucks. She unemotionally said, "I don't tell people my name." It makes me question whether Cocoon is where I want to spend my money in the morning because it is just as easy to pull into Starbucks. Try to remember that you are in the business of customer service, and on this day of covid-19 and all of the challenges you face, why in the world would you want to make things more difficult for yourself? read more

So this is my experience here. I walked in with my 2 kids... there was a basket of Annie's Organics gummies on a shelf in the middle of the store - my kids immediately went over to them and asked. They were not marked for sale, no price tag or indication that they were free or for sale. I thought they were free! Especially as they're not labeled for individual sale and the place is definitely geared away from the stroller crowd. Anyhow - they were a buck apiece and I thought that sucked. If you know kids you know that to avoid a public meltdown lots of parents (not me, but that's a whole other thing) will just fold and buy the thing, knowing it's cheaper to give in than to suffer the long term health consequences of allowing a toddler to disrupt 10 millennials running their insta-businesses (IE - on fb looking for a post to reinforce their parents political positions or the exact opposite) yet I digress... Coffee was OK but priced to compete with the Stumptown's and Blue Bottle's without the vibe of such places. Very corporate, way too sterile for me. read more

I love this cozy little coffee spot! It is serene and peaceful, and I love that they have actual work desks so that you can study or work at the coffee shop! I had the vanilla latte, and although I felt that it was a little overpriced, I will admit that it was delicious! My coworkers and I will often come here to grab a coffee and chat on Friday afternoons, and it is a great little place to do such a thing! Plus, the barista that made our drinks was very helpful and gave great recommendations for my friends who had never been there before. We were all impressed! Pro's: it's wide open, a huge coffee shop so you will not feel cramped like other mom and pop shops in the area Barista's were super friendly and nice Great place to study! I've never seen a better setup for students who are studying with individual desks. My wife got a latte and it tasted good. Con's: Over priced coffee - they use smaller cups than two other small coffee shops in the area that I frequent and the maga franchise coffee shop. $3.25 for 16 oz cup is roughly a dollar more than it should be. Coffee was not hot when I got it - luke warm at best. I'm not exactly a coffee snob but the coffee tasted like gas station coffee. Seemed watered down and did not have a rich flavor you get from other shops in the area. This didn't really weigh into my decision about the two stars but one thing that bugged me the whole time I sat there and drank my coffee was that I don't like the interior of the place, very poorly decorated, like they had a gift card to hobby lobby and bought ever piece of "art" with the word coffee on it and threw it on the wall with no sense of design. The lighting is really bad with the panel/fluorescent lights you have in an business office. In a location where there are 4 or 5 coffee shops within a few miles of each other, I highly doubt I'll be back. read more

Very spacious indoor seating. Great for study groups and individual work spaces. Got a summer seasonal iced honey oat latte which was fabulous. Sat in a large comfy cushion chair with easy outlet access. Didn't seem too busy when I went in on a mid-Friday afternoon, not sure if that's still the case other times of the day. The interior is whack y'all. Idk who decorated the space, but it is weird looking. However, the lavender drinks are really good. I've had the lavender latte and the lavender mocha. We ordered a regular coffee with cream and sugar, size medium and a latte size medium was $10, but the mediums were both smaller than a Starbucks SMALL (8 ounces?!) We got our coffees, and when we pulled away my husband said his coffee was cold, had no creamer or sugar in it, and the coffee was not even good. Metro-working take on a coffee shop. Environment is very work friendly, and there is plenty of space to spread out. You will never have to wait for a table or chair. Hard to think of anything good in my experience there, other than their willingness to refund my money before I left. Billed as a work-friendly environment, it's too wide-open and exposed. The chairs are the wrong height for the higher tables so typing is an unergonomic uncomfortable proposition. Maybe they're okay for conversation. Anyway I tried one of the lower tables, where the chairs were the right height but made with a cold industrial steel design. Not comfortable. The cinnamon roll I got was stale and served with no fork. When I asked for a fork the barista didn't know where to find one -- but then she made lattes for two other customers before she went to look for one. That was when I decided it was time to leave. From there I went to Kidd Coffee where I should have gone in the first place. Ordered a larger coffee than the one I left behind at Cocoon, and another cinnamon roll, since I hadn't eaten but two bites of the other one. The roll was bigger, warmer, much fresher, and the total was about 85¢ less. read more
