Our 1st visit in many many years and lots of changes. The crab sandwich was AWESOME!!! Service was really great! Lots of beach boozy drink options. We just ate upstairs and did not use the pool or bar area .

My son took me to Coconuts for lunch. We ordered a drink called Pain In The A** which included rum runner pina colada with a rum floater on top. This frozen beverage absolutely quenched our thirst! We ordered the Beach Nachos which included corn tortilla chips, queso cheese, pico de gallo, and sour cream with shredded chicken. They have ground beef as an option as well. There was a live DJ jamming out the tunes and a swimming pool party!

The RV resort has so much potential with great views of the lake and clean property. A few major details are missing which will keep me from returning or recommending. The water park, restaurant, and RV resort office close when they want(much earlier than posted). The laundry services are nice if you are prepared with quarters. The washer/dryer takes quarters only, but no change machine...so you have to go to the office...but Ope! They're closed 30 minutes early....oh! I can run down to the restaurant for some change..just kidding! They don't have change at all because they round up to the nearest dollar!!! What kind of insanity is this? The RV sites are pretty tight and not many are pull-through. The top level nearest to the office/family pool are easily accessed while the lower levels take a CDL and 30 yrs trucker experience to back your rig up 1/4 mile while reversing down a single lane road that's fairly steep hill...not a well thought out lay out. All their boats were not running so ended up renting from Frankie & Louie's(which was a fantastic experience).

Okay what a super fun place to have stumbled upon while out on the lake! My sister was so happy to find this place while we were out on the boat and wanted to stop in. Upon entering it was pretty bumping, the music was going and it was already pretty crowded. It's definitely pricy but it's honestly a pretty cool experience for a drink or two! I personally didn't love how crowded it was and after about 45 minutes in the pool I was a little over it. People were really on top of you but they were at least nice. The drinks were amazing. The pina colada was one of the best I've ever had. Not too strong and not too sweet, honestly perfect and it's pre made in a slurpee machine so kudos to them! If you're looking for a quick drink while out exploring the lake then this spot is great to spend an hour or two but honestly no more than that.

$17 worth of calamari that was way over cooked & fishy. This is how they say it down in front of us... it doesn't even look appetizing.

This place has such potential; beautiful property, amazing pools... however we're on vacation & came on a slow/off day & felt as if we were burdening the staff, they would rather sit on the bar on their phones than actually engage or have a a conversation with their customers. We ordered calamari & it was overcooked and fishy & way overpriced for the serving size we got. When we voiced our concerns the server said that he's never ordered it before so he doesn't know what it even looks like. It wasn't just us being treated like that, it was the whole place, I get it's an off day... but every customer matters. Also a heads up, they include 20% gratuity (or at least they did to us, a couple at the bar) to the check. Would give this a second chance just for the property alone but they definitely need to have some managerial or staffing changes.

Let's start off with the few things that was good about this place. For one the pool the scenery absolutely gorgeous. The staff very friendly. The gift shop was really nice. But why give them more money. When you realize that your visit before was so horrible food and eco cocktails. I could not bare to give them another dollar. So now we begin on the real story here. We live here. If you have a beautiful place like this but serve the most expensive drinks and I mean that by mixing that with nothing, and also the smallest menu known to man kind. with horrendous food. items. You could go to the nastiest truckstop and have a better meal. I mean some of this microwaved some of it's not. I told my husband which he inturn said the same thing, I would love to throw this up to get it out of me, but we would not want to go through tasting that garbage twice. With such a beautiful place why not have some food to back it up and your prices. My husband and I can go to the nicest steak restaurant not blink and Eye and spend over $300 to $400 for a couple bottles of wine and a fabulous dinner. but you know why we don't care about spending that kind of money because the food made it all worth it!!!! Made us talk about it later made us love it! Made us want to go back. I can't even get the taste of the yuck out of my mouth it's just I can't even go on and on about it because it will make me literally have to relive the taste again in my mouth. That is all. Before I sign off let me tell you about the zillions upon zillions of ants crawling all over not only in your drink your food your feet your legs the bar top anything and everything SHAME ON YOU !!!

Came here on the playin hooky taxi. Overall had a great time! Food was good and service we awesome. Definitely an expensive place and no free water was the only reason I gave 5 stars. They check bags at the door and make you throw out any water bottles and purchase theirs. DJ was playing great music we partied all day and would go back. I wouldn't bring children here.

Coconuts is hard to review. We are a family of 6 who summers at the lake. If we were 21 year olds looking for a play to party, this would be an absolute 5. We like this place when its not the weekend or evening when people get rowdy and unfortunately inappropriate for families. Not hating on that, I certainly respect their right to be a place to party. When the setting is NOT like that, we actually like coconuts quite well. Food is decent (we love the bowls) although a tad pricey, welcome to lake lake, and its huge an entertaining. Pools are cool, kids like the slide (be careful on the steps). Our kids like eating here we just have to go at off times because of the environment. They charge you for water, so heads up on that. No free water for kids..... 3 stars is my mixed review. I totally understand why people love it and why people hate it.

NOT GOOD FOR KIDS, Unless you are talking about college kids. Definitely an adult place. Limited, but good food.

Not our kinda place. Feels like a place to go show off. Beer wasn't cold. May be a good place for singles but just not for us.

The decor, views and staff was next to perfection- absolutely no complaints. We started with Diet Coke and Baxter's sunset drink, a beautiful looking drink - fun mix of mango margarita along with raspberry daiquiri. The drink was very tasty and refreshing. For our mains, we got the French dip (the best French dip in MO as per me, filled with juicy shaved prime rib, and Swiss cheese with super tasty Au Jus sauce on the side. I got it with perfectly seasoned delicious roasted potatos! This sandwich took me straight to heaven - emmmm. The rest of my family members got the blackened Mahi Mahi which was topped with house made mango salsa along with some rice and veggies. It was a slightly sweet and tasty savory dish. They also got the Cedar plank Salmon Grilled perfectly along with red wine Dijon sauce and some veggies on the side. Both were cooked well and very different refreshing flavors. We also got some sweet potato fries to go along with the fishes. To end the tasty lunch, we saved some room for some dessert! We got the Rich brownie, served with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce. On one side, we were trying to keep the sugar intake low by sharing but on the other, It was a fight to eat the most bites of the ice cream haha lol. Overall, from the drinks to the entrées, to the sides, and the desert was perfect without any disappointments. If you're visiting Lake of Ozarks, then you have to make a stop at Baxter's Grill without fail!

We ordered the ribeye (med. rare), baked potato, green beans and a dinner salad and the crab stuffed tilapia, mashed potatos, green beans, with a Caeser salad. All were cooked very well, delivered to our table hot with attentive service. No drinks tonight - but, based on past experience, the bar is solid! If I could give partial stars, I would rate Baxter's in the range of 4.25 stars or so. Consistently above avverage!

We ended up ordering the create your own Cajun Combo with a medium spice level that included 1 lb shrimp, 1 lb crawfish, two pieces of corn and a sausage; the fried catfish basket with hush puppies and an egg; and 6 hot wings with sauce on the side. Tarter and cocktail sauce and garlic butter came on the side. Everything was served piping hot and delicious. The boiled seafood was tender, flavorful and well seasoned without overpowering the delicate texture of the seafood. The catfish was lightly battered and had a clean flavor. The sausage had a gentle kick and was well seasoned with savory spices. We took the advice of Martin and dipped the sausage in the garlic butter - wow, a great recommendation! The hot wings were delicious. Had I known they were that good, i would have requested them as typically served tossed in the sauce. The hush puppies we not typical in that they too had a a great mix of spices and maybe herbs; crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The corn seemed to soak up the boiling spices as well and was tender and flavorful to the last bite. In addition to providing utensils, wet wipes, bibs and even gloves, they had a nice hand washing station near the entrance with great smelling soda and towels. It was a great space to wash up before and after eating. I would definitely return tho the Cajun Crab House if I was in the area - and I'd hope to find Martin and Maria working that day too.

We normally go to Krustaceans on 9th St.....but decided to try this place. Though I'll speak well…read moreof this place, the cost/value of this place - will (still) have me endorsing Krustaceans in Columbia. The seafood at this place, was cooked very very good. The quality of the seafood was a very clean tasting seafood. Even the shrimp had a nice clean flavor. And we're you looking for butter? Oh, they do (not) spare the sticks of butter at this place! The potato. Oh yes, I said "potato". I have never had a seafood bowl - have (just) a single potato. The potato tasted absolutely great. But 1 potato? That was a joke - especially after you see what these items cost! The garlic butter: There was plenty of butter. Tye flavoring of the butter, certainly was unique of sorts. Seemed to have (possibly) a chili powder base. And though I thought it was good...I also got tired of the taste, after a bit. The Big Downer at this place: Cost. You see my (2) platters. Add (3) cans of Coke - the cost was $150.00. Yes, that's correct: $150.00. Sure, there's a whole lobster on one of the platters. BUT, it wasn't that big by any means. And let's remember: 1 potato was included in the platter. 1 small red potato, came with it; at that price! Lol. Conclusion: Krustaceans is where you should go - for the seafood boiler platters. A much better combination of quality, value and price.
