I want to take a moment to share some feedback about my recent vehicle purchase at Estero Chevrolet…read moreand to recognize the outstanding service provided by one of your sales professionals, Angel Vargas. From the very beginning, Angel demonstrated a level of professionalism and customer care that truly stood out. His approach was refreshingly non‑pushy, and he created an environment where I felt comfortable, informed, and respected throughout the entire process. His communication style was excellent -- clear, timely, and always focused on making sure I had the information I needed to make the right decision. Because of Angel's genuine demeanor and commitment to a positive customer experience, this was one of the best car‑buying experiences I have ever had. He represents Estero Chevrolet exceptionally well, and I wanted to be sure his efforts were recognized. Thank you for fostering a team that values integrity, transparency, and customer satisfaction. Angel is a great example of that culture in action.

There is a quiet, deliberate deception happening inside Estero Bay Chevrolet, and if you aren't…read morepaying close attention, you won't realize you've been bled dry until it's far too late. I walked into this showroom as a highly qualified buyer with a transparent, official Capital One pre-qualification in hand. We negotiated terms, but the moment it came time to finalize the paperwork, the atmosphere changed. My salesperson, Jay, and his finance team began aggressively pushing a bloated monthly payment. Their explanation was delivered with practiced ease: "the bank came back high because of your credit profile." It was an attempt to make me doubt myself, to make me feel small enough to just sign the lines and stop asking questions. But when you shine a light into the dark corners of their operation, the narrative falls completely apart. I demanded to see the specific APR breakdown and the details of the Capital One hard pull. Suddenly, the slick communication turned into a brick wall. Jay claimed they were "unable to share the rate or application over text." Let it be known with absolute certainty: there is contractually and legally zero reason a dealership cannot provide a required Truth in Lending APR disclosure to a consumer. They weren't protecting a process; they were protecting a lie. While they were stonewalling me, the truth leaked out from the one place they couldn't control: my direct credit alerts. Estero Bay Chevrolet never even submitted my application to Capital One. While they looked me in the eyes and blamed my credit score, they were secretly shopping my identity behind my back to TD Auto Finance, Wells Fargo, and Fifth Third; hunting for a lender that would allow them to maximize a massive, hidden interest rate markup and pack my contract with invisible junk fees. They are running an underground bait-and-switch operation beneath a corporate smile. They would rather let a guaranteed, ready-to-sign sale walk right out the door into the Saturday morning sun than allow a customer to see the real math. To the General Manager reading this: your team let a clean, done deal walk away today because they got caught red-handed running a cheap hustle, and they were too cowardly to face the music when unmasked. To the public: do not step foot on this lot. They do not see you as a customer. They see you as prey, and they count on you being too blind to see the trap. Stay far, far away.

Gulfcoast Motorworks let me know their goal was to make this my best car buying experience ever…read more Sounds like hyperbole, but they succeeded! It went like this: I made the first call, letting the SA Josh (Thompson) know that I am in Arizona and would be making a distance purchase without an in person visit. It took Josh just a few minutes to answer all my questions about the vehicle and for me to make an initial offer. Josh said to give him a few minutes to discuss with his GM and he would get back to me. It took all of 10 minutes and he called me back with a fair counter, which included the cost of shipping the vehicle to Arizona: I accepted. After that, same day, paperwork was completed, payment made, with arrangements made for the pickup of the vehicle for shipping (in 2 days!). Josh was kind, patient, and answered every question and then some. He offered to do a video walkaround of the vehicle, but I determined that wasn't necessary because of the 79 (!) photos that were posted on their website and Josh's assurance that there were no cosmetic issues. He also offered to perform a free oil change which was going to be due in a few months. Every step in the transaction was flawless, and Josh hit the sweet spot of responding to my questions and concerns without being overbearing. It has been, easily, the best car buying experience I have ever had, and I've bought over 20 cars in the past 30 years. Thanks to Josh and Gulfcoast Motorworks!!!

TLDR: Don't waste your time. Believe the bad reviews. Find another dealer…read more Reached out to this dealer about an X5 they had posted online for a few weeks with a price drop. Initially they reached back out to me asking me if I was interested. They did a good job of getting me the auto check report for the vehicle which was greatly appreciated. As I'm in a cash buyer and don't finance vehicles I asked for an out the door price including all taxes, title, fees, etc. I was met with a response of " The price is online at $16,000. We have an $899 dealer fee, plus tax and tag fees. " Unfortunately that's not terribly helpful as I was looking for a single number to compare around and shop with. Something I imagine they did not want to give me because they're used to making their money through customers financing. Fine, no problem; I told them I would look for a better deal and went on my way. Had that been the only interaction I would not have left this review. However maybe a week or so later the initial salesman reached out through email about the same X5 or any other vehicle I might be interested in. I explained that I had narrowed my search from an N63tu (bmw's TT V8) vehicle to a B58 (Inline6 turbo) vehicle and therefore that particular X5 was no longer of interest to me. I wrote a long and detailed email letting him know what I was looking for specifically. No answer whatsoever after several days; which bothered me because he would have responded immediately like the first time if he thought I was an easy sell. So I sent HIM a follow up email asking why there was no response especially considering their X5 is still sitting on their lot and only getting further price cuts online. Again no email. This dealer stinks of waiting for an eager sucker to come along and take whatever carrot/deal is dangled in front of them. Salesman that are amazing when they think they're closing on you and don't have the time to send you a 2 sentence email response otherwise. Save yourself the hassle and probably a mechanical headache and look elsewhere. I'm glad I didn't fly out to consider it.
