Do Not Book here, go to WhiteTale Bluff (family owned, much better business). Save your money, they will not refund you if you want to leave and admitted everyone complains about the trains. The TRAINS and HORNS all throughout the night will keep you up, SHAKING your camper. It is so bad, we left the second night without them offering a refund. My husband and I wanted to take a long weekend get away. We chose coconut cove because it was an hour and a half away and it looked great online. It is very kid friendly with an adult pool and kiddie pool (we do not have children). The downside is there's two spots for bathrooms right next to each other on the far side of the campground and there is a loud train that goes by every few hours including at night. Updating review- Saturday-Sunday night 11:30-6:30 am train has went by 7 times. Only a few hundred yards away this is intensely loud and you cannot sleep through it. read more

After hearing so many rave reviews about this place, we were so excited to go. I tried to get a booking before the kids started school but the earliest we could book was The week of August 30th. We hadn't had a family vacation in 2 years so we decided to go then instead of having to wait til next summer. Day Prior to arrival - received a call from the resort confirming our reservation. Reminded us to bring linens and towels, etc as nothing is provided. We knew that and had it all packed already. She also told us if we wanted to come earlier to check in, that would be fine, our cabin would be ready. Day 1 - We arrive for check in. As we are waiting there to check in, there is a gentleman in front of us asking about paddle boards and boats, etc. He is told they are not open and it was on their site. I check the mobile version of the site and there is ZERO mention about it there on the homepage. And if it was going to be closed, why wouldn't you mention that when you are calling to confirm people's reservations?? We figure, 'ok - we'll just make the best of everything else they have'. We decide to swim for a while. Our sliding door won't lock (and even us adults have a hard time opening/closing it). There isn't anyone else around, so we decide to leave it and go swim. Get up to the pool, the Tiki hit is closed. Whatever. Swim for a couple hours and go back by the cabin to check out the lake. All the gates are locked and the Tiki Bar is closed. We call it a day and grill out. We left the slider open on the cabin since we were going in and out, but as it started to get dark the swarm of mosquitoes started coming out and they are not deterred by any spray or candles. We didn't want them all getting it the cabin, so I shut the door - and it locked. We were locked outside. Our phones, the keys, everything were sitting in the cabin. Fast forward THREE HOURS and we finally got in. Thankfully I had an Apple Watch and was able to get a text to go through for someone to call for help for us because there is NO ONE around at the resort after a certain time. Our outside contact had to call the sheriffs dept and it even took them an hour to get ahold of someone. It should not be that difficult and there should always be an emergency contact if you're running a resort like this. The response we got is 'nothing has ever happened before'. We were not happy at all. By the time we get into our cabin, it's 10pm, all the brats/burger we cooked to eat throughout the week are now garbage. The kids are hungry and tired. Not a good first day at all. Day 2 - After having been stuck outside in the swarms of mosquitoes, I am bit from head to toe. They comp'd us a small amount to make up for us getting locked out of the cabin and losing all our food. We use it later for an overpriced super. The food was good, but not that great. The gate to the lake is finally open so we check that out. It's a mucky disgusting mess. If you go in, you'll come out covered in it. Tiki Bar still closed. Oh and no jump pad is next to the park during our entire stay. So back to the pool we go and spend the afternoon. Tiki hut is open this time so we can at least utilize the bar. When we are back at the cabin later, the mosquitoes are out full force again and we are forced back inside. Day 3 - No changes to the lake, Tiki Bar still closed so we go to the pool (again). Tiki Hut closed this time again. So there was literally nothing for us to do except swim in the pool. We were so frustrated with the resort, we drove offsite to get supper. It's dark when return and the mosquito swarms are out, so we stay inside. Day 4 - Check out day. We wake up and pack out stuff to head for home after a very disappointing vacation. We spent $200 a night to rent a cabin that we had to supply everything for, could not enjoy 90% of the amenities except the pool, and are coming home completely covered in bug bites. I relayed my qualms above and got told 'maybe you'll book earlier next year'. After an incredibly stressful and disappointing stay, we will NOT return. read more

Let's start with the waitstaff that barely knows what is on the menu. Strike one. When asked to describe the beers available she did not know. Strike two. We ordered a simple hamburger and asked for lettuce and tomato. They left it off the burger. Strike three. In addition, the music was so loud you could not hear. This place was a huge disappointment. Two stars just for the setting. We stayed in a RV pull through space. The space was full of small pieces of various debris. The Bathrooms resembled a Highway Rest Stop Bathroom. Timed Faucets in the Sinks and Shower areas. Supermarket Vegetable bags in the dispenser in the Pet area. High price per night($84) low budget results. Let's not forget the Hooterville Express constantly passing by sounding its Horn. I was waiting for the cast of Petticoat Junction to show up. read more

I went to Coconut Cove for the weekend. Easy check in for the resort. Great staff from check in to bartenders to wait staff. Super clean facilities. Will stay at the resort again!! Fun place with live music in the day and evening. read more

Great concept, but poor customer service. My family and I stayed during the week in a cabin on the beach. The cabins are nice and very clean, the pool is great and the kids enjoyed the beach and playground just steps from our cabin. The downsides are the fact the place seems to be ran by teenagers. We bought a wrist band for the aqua park on the lake and my daughter had fun for about 45 minutes before they said they were taking a ten minute break and never came back. We stayed in a cabin on the end, it has nice yard space with a fire ring and picnic table however they keep the gate to the beach locked at all times on this side for "security reasons" so we have to walk clear to the other side to gain access to the beach right in front of our cabin. The tiki bar on the beach and rentals are apparently not open during the week and the poolside bar closes at 5 even when the pool is full of patrons who would clearly continue spending money. The restaurant has decent food and the waitresses are very nice, however it is closed on Tuesdays which isn't a huge deal, just plan ahead. read more
