Love this place. I always come out happy. My favorite flavors are the Original (Tart) and Taro. Their bubble tea and Bingsu (shaved ice) is quite nice too. They are pretty generous with the fruits on their Bingsu but I do wish they would put more shaved ice into it. read more

In terms of frozen yogurt, it's nothing special. They don't allow sampling so you have to be confident with your flavor decision. Everything's very clean which is great. The customer service however isn't very good. They seem to have attitudes for no apparent reason. They also don't accept credit cards. I will probably go to a different frozen yogurt place next time. read more

Stepped in here on a visit to see my brother; the fro-yo is good; 47 cents an ounce is higher than what I'm used to. His mango bubble tea was a bit disappointing or rather the bubbles were; they were still hard and not as "bubbly" as I would have liked. Only big complaint is they price by weight and you don't know how much you have till your at the cash register. Ok I have been to a lot of froyo places in Chicago, the suburbs and even out of the states. Let me tell you nothing beats Cocomero! The best part about this place is that it's self-serve with fresh variety of toppings. The design of this place is pretty nice, it seemed like a picture out of an ikea catalog. Pretty good, but pricey. Fifty cents an ounce adds up quickly, especially if you hit the toppings station. My biggest beef is that they haven't had the red velvet yogurt in a year. I still go in every so often for the chocolate, which is pretty good, but the red velvet was my favorite yogurt ever, and so it's a real disappointment that it's gone. read more

really bright, i love the colors and the atmosphere in general (they always play good music if you're into top 40 jams like me haha). toppings are okay, the selection of froyo flavors is GREAT. kind of on the pricey side, but most froyo places are. i wish they had some loyalty card system, because i come here so often. (some places do stamp cards, which is STUPID because people like me who get AT LEAST $5 of froyo every trip i go, will still only get one stamp, when someone else paying $2 also gets one stamp, so i hate that) the green tea, coconut, almond, and kiwi bubble teas are all fantastic! the tapoica is big and chewy, not too firm. its perfect. the staff is really friendly too :) seating is usually available, they have cute chairs upstairs and i sometimes like people-watching over Wright street haha this place is my jam. there's a reason why im mayor of it on 4 square lol read more

The green tea and taro flavors are really good!! The topping choice is decent as well but the boba has a weird texture.

This is definitely something I wouldn't have expected to find in central Illinois at all. Coming from Los Angeles, this is more of the average yogurt place to me. The yogurt here isn't as rich and creamy as those offered by Red Mango and Pinkberry that are big in LA. Of course, Cocomero has more choices of flavor and charges by the ounce. You don't have to fill up the entire cup unless you can actually eat that much yogurt :O more power to you. If you're here in Illinois and curious as to what high quality yogurt tastes like, I recommend trying Red Mango in Chicago. They also have a few locations in the suburbs. You might not think of cocomero the same way afterwords. If you happen to like the cocomero style with a variety of flavors and happen to be in LA for whatever reason, I definitely recommend Nubi Yogurt in LA. Same style as Cocomero: self-serve, lots of flavors, charge by the ounce. Of course being from LA and having enjoyed Pinkberry and Red mango, I might be pretty biased against Cocomero :) read more

We tried it for the first time tonight, and we loved it! Very innovative idea. I enjoyed being able to chose from all their unique flavors with the available fruits (I mixed red velvet and pineapple frozen yogurt with pieces of mango, kiwi and brownie). It is perfect if you want a treat without having to feel too guilty. It is also great for a low-key date, and it is open late. Looking forward to going back read more

I split my cash on yogurt and bubble milk tea. I've had better bubble milk tea, especially for the price (~$4) but those places are not an option in Champaign. Same with the froyo. The atmosphere and friendly staff puts it over the top. Good as an alternative to an ice cream or coffee shop, unless you were hoping to sit down and work. In NY or SF, where the competition is more intense, Cocomero is more like a 3.5 - 4 (due to price and quality), but it's solid 5 here in Chambana. Just wish they served a modern selection of bubble milk teas. My memory is fuzzy on this, but I think there's a $3 minimum on credit card charges. At 47 cents an ounce, that's just under what you might expect to spend on a typical serving (halfway up the smaller bucket). read more

Best ice cream place in town - though it's actually frozen yogurt... You get to create your own frozen yogurt sundae. Tons of topping choices including fruits, chocolates, granola, and more. And the frozen yogurt comes in a variety of flavors and are rotated to introduce new ones sporadically. My favorite is the original tart. I find the decor fairly obnoxious...though I suppose some people enjoy the "cheery" neon colors :) The product outweighs all that though! read more

Very cool and trendy place! Great self-service FRO-YO...with a huge selection of yogurt and an AMAZING toppings bar. I LOVE the CAKE BATTER topped with all the fresh fruits.....and the TOASTY MARSHMALLOW topped with pretzels is amazing. I hear that crispy bacon is gonna be a new topping(I think)......that will be AWESOME! The staff is friendly and helpful. I'd been driven by this place dozens of times during visits with my boyfriend. Over the weekend (mother's weekend) the weather broke. It was hot as eff outside and we took the longest walk in the history of walks. I was famished and wanted fro-yo. The boyfriend was skeptical, but we went anyway. I walked in and fell in love with the decor! (i always check for cleanliness) There were so many yogurt flavors and tons of add ins! I opted for the vanilla yogurt with kiwi, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, pineapple, and granola. AMAZING to say the least. I paid about $6. The very next day I went and got a bigger bowl (24 oz to be exact) and paid a little over $13 which isn't horrible considering the amount. It was worth it. I'd consider enrolling in U of I JUST to be closer to Cocomero. More visits are in my future. read more

by far the worst service of any yogurt place I have ever been to and I am 51 years old and have visited hundreds of yogurt places in my lifetime. We visited during the University of Illinois engineering open house. Being from a small town, we expected some friendly small town yogurt shop to provide us some warm and friendly service. Rather, as I was weighing my yogurt, and one of my strawberries was about to fall off onto the scale, I caught it from my finger and put it in my mouth. Yes, that is one small berry that I saved from going onto their scale and into my mouth. Yet this girl yelled at me in front of several customers and ranted and raved that I need to pay for everything in my cup!!! We are talking about a tiny sliver of strawberry that fell onto my finger accidentally. Not something that I purposefully took from their toppings bar and snuck into my mouth. After I pointed out how rude she was, she was even ruder and said that they get a lot of people eating stuff off the bar, and I told her that obviously was not me.I told her that her inappropriate kamikazee tactics will keep me away permanently and will tell everyone else I know to visit the other yogurt shops in the area.This place is just an overrated hippie hangout with cult followers who don't know the difference between good and mediocre service. As for me, I have other choices and will exercise my right to choose to be treated like a human being. read more

I generally like Cocomero. It's pretty tasty and there are tons of options. However, I attempted to go tonight and found that Cocomero was closed, even though the hours on Yelp say 11:30am-11:00pm. Definitely disappointed that the hours listed are wrong. read more

This place had changed its appearance and has more comfortable seating now. It's frozen yogurt continued to taste as great as before and I have not tried a flavor I have not thought was good. Bad Customer Service Experience. Yogurt was good. Very Expensive. We still had an hour before they closed so we sat down to eat. Employee started flipping trashcans upside down, I guess that is a closing time clean-up thing? I was done eating so I went to one trashcan and flipped it right-side-up. They were still open, we should be able to use the trashcans! Sat back down and continued chatting. Next thing we know, the same employee comes back the the trashcan I used, grabbed my cup out, and SLAMS it back upside-down, scaring all of us. This place was horrible! I asked for an avocado drink and it tasted like bad sweeten green beans. And so I ask them if they made it right or if they messed up my order, so the employee tried my drink! HE ACTUALLY TRIED MY DRINK!! I don't care that he used a clean spoon but you should never do that to customer. If they aren't satisfied with their product then you should find a solution to the problem. Plus they also told me they used avacado powder for the drink. For any managers or bosses reading this NEVER EVER ALLOW YOUR EMPLOYEE TO TRY THE CONSUMERS PRODUCT. So disappointed in this place sorry but I don't trust this place and behind the scenes of what can happen in this store. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more
