I can't believe they can only offer eggs scrambled. What a load of rubbish. If you can't offer more, take it off the menu.

Walking around the lovely suburb of Grange me and a friend came about the House Cafe Bakery, and…read morestopped for an afternoon lunch. Not having to wait long for our order, we sat in our corner and enjoyed what was a great bakery snack, with a great coffee and apparently what was the best banana smoothie my friend has ever had. We had absolutely nothing to complain about whilst having a feed/drink here, which is something we like to do! We even indulged on what was one of the softest and freshest doughnuts I have ever had from a random cafe! Well done House Cafe Bakery, well done.

Situated adjacent Grange Beach, this bakery has capacity to sit inside or out, and with the doors and windows wide open, both offer an opportunity to soak up the sea breeze and the sounds of the seaside. The cakes and pastries all looked so fresh and inviting and the recipients of my takeaway cakes attest to the fact they were as delicious as they looked! I also witnessed a few examples of great customer service to other customers, whilst I was in there. I was greeted so warmly and the staff members were smiling and friendly. The decor is light and airy, stylish and clean and there is ample parking nearby. I think it would be a perfect place to refuel after a beachside bike ride!

With over 7 different styles of chairs and exposed pipes in the venue I could already see they focussed on their product and looked forward to it with anticipation. A simple venue offering a range of vegan and GF options for clients; they cater to a broader community of breakfast eaters by giving you standard choices and those that you really wish you could eat every day. The staff are complimentary to the atmosphere with a very welcoming vibe and interest in your experience as a client. We ordered and were promptly served out crepes and coffee within a matter of minutes and as expected fresh and tasty. I deduct one star from my rating because the cream would have been better served if whipped slightly and my berries were still cold from the freezer. It could only have improved my experience overall if they were fresh even if that meant reducing the quantity or maybe amusing a homemade compote sauce from the berries. The whipped cream is just a personal grievance. Price is well suited to speed, quality, hospitality and environment. Would recommend highly if you're in the area.

All the cakes looked really fresh and the breakfast menu looked varied and interesting. I had freshly squeezed juice of orange, ginger, apple and carrot. You can make up your own combination. It was delicious and not sweet. My friend had poached eggs on toast and it could have benefitted from a bit nicer presentation and also the rye bread looked a bit more like a biscuit than bread. Just a bit plain. But the eggs looked beautifully cooked, with rich yellow yolks. The coffee came with fab coffee art and a friendly smile. We didn't have to wait long for our order either. On the counter there are self serve jugs to fill from adjacent sink and matching funky, rustic cups. And the best part if one over-indulges on cakes, is being able to walk it off along a stunning beach only a few meters away!

It's casual ambience is ideally suited to the occasion. The varied menu specialised in shared plates and there are varied and healthy options from which to make your selection. For this light lunch we chose three plates to share which was more than adequate for two lunching ladies. We selected did and flat bread, sweet potato chips and cos lettuce salad. Even tho the venue was quite busy did arrived promptly. Great to have chilled house water freely available. Staff are very friendly and polite.

Quite a large and busy venue with mixed reviews suggesting staff have some trouble getting meals out on time etc. They offer a few types of seating and we chose some stools outside with partial sunlight. Standard décor, quite clean, with a nice display of sweets by the ordering counter. We tucked into some smashed avocado with assorted seeds, lemon and a poached egg on a crusty bread. A very tasty dish, quite large with two full pieces of bread, the only negative being it was on the cooler side, even though serving was quick. We've encountered a similar issue before - if you cover some warm bread with cold avocado and then place a warm egg on top, everything will be cold by the time you start eating. The other dish was a regular toasted BLT, which had the right amounts of everything with a tasty bacon and not a crumb was left. It didn't blow my socks off but with a large offering it's bound to please many and they do seem busy most of the time.
