Only organic foods are served here without anything containing soy. You can find their chocolate bars in some stores and boutiques, but this is the only location to purchase their truffles and bark and cookies, many of the products are gluten free. The truffle flavors that I found laid out in perfect rows during my visit included chocolate orange, raspberry, black seed curry, caramel jungle, peanut butter crunch, peanut butter milk chocolate, peanut butter dark chocolate, caramel milk chocolate, caramel dark chocolate, hazelnut, cappuccino, espresso, cinnamon latte, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and coconut. The chocolate bark flavors at the time of my visit included cranberry hazelnut, cashew bark, almond bark, and goji berry hemp. They also serve organic coffee and hot chocolate with a little bar to the side with add ins for personalizing your drinks (such as organic coconut oil). The shop is just large enough for a bistro table, a couch, and coffee table for patrons with some seating outside as well. Parking lot in the front was very accessible. read more

Was craving something sweet after our morning yoga session at Park Lantern in Dana Point and found this adorable chocolate parlor nearby that uses high quality ingredients!! Their truffles are made in house and are all organic, vegan & dairy free! We got the 6pcs Truffle Box for $12 and had so much fun selecting our truffles. Their 'organic' high quality, hand crafted Dark Chocolate Truffle had fungus growing inside the shell. Called the owner to let her know this and she said her chocolates are only meant to last a week or less, even if you refrigerate them!! My family has had an upset stomach after eating these within the first few days. Requested her to put a disclaimer of the short shelf life inside each box. Instead of being appreciative for the time I had taken to call and give her my feedback she went on to say how "we consumers" are spoilt with store packaged long-lasting poor quality chocolates! Talk about being presumptuous. I told her that I would be happy to send her photos of the piece of fungus-laden chocolate so she can QC it with her team and she hung up!!!! My husband just brought home some of the Cocoa Parlor products: a box of 4 chocolates, a vegan white currant and peanuts bar, and a chocolate cacao roasted cashews bar. These were part of my anniversary gifts. OMG! These are so good. We opened the box last night, and it lasted maybe 15 minutes. After I came home from my workout today, I opened the white chocolate bar, and we couldn't put it away. These are soooo good! But beware! Once you start eating some, you cannot stop! Tomorrow I will say hello and then probably goodbye to the chocolate cashews bar! These Cocoa Parlor products are amazing! read more

Great local chocolate shop. All organic and some vegan choices. All made in in the back of the store. You can sample almost all the different flavors. The truffles are excellent. I found this chocolate shop in search of vegan treats. It's a small but cute shop, you can see straight into the kitchen-work area I like that! I got greeted by a friendly staff member she was extremely helpful, I didn't get her name. They have an large selection of vegan & non vegan organic chocolates which you can taste. They have a sampling area which I love! They also have a display case full of truffles & other chocolates. I ended up with a chocolate bar $5 & a bag of chocolate & almond bark $10, & $2 white chocolate bunnies for Easter treats. I love to eat local & this place is amazing! read more

I love that they have delivery ! I live all the way in PA and get the 67 with sea salt and nuts when I visit my cousins in SoCal ! So happy I can get them again I crave this chocolate bar all the time and just haven't been able to find a substitute. love your chocolates :) read more

The cookies and truffles are not very good at all. The people who work here are super sweet but you might have better luck at a Whole Foods looking for vegan treats. The cookies and truffles had so much sugar in them you could feel the granulated sugar particles in every bite and there was little to no flavor in each one. I'm sad because I was excited about a vegan treat place being so close to me but it's very expensive for not very good chocolate. read more

A little taste of Europe with California flair. Accidentally happened upon this little gem today and I am SO excited to have a place like this tucked away in a sleepy little Laguna Niguel shopping center. Their products are all extremely high quality with the utmost care an attention paid to not just flavor, but environmental impact, and even dietary restrictions. I tried the curry mint truffle and the rosemary fig truffle, paired with a generous sample of their Pu Erh tea. So surprising and delicious. We are lucky to have a new hot spot in Laguna Niguel! read more

This place makes Chocolate truffles and chocolate bars to DIE for. Anytime I need my chocolate fix, I trek down to Cocoa Parlor. Cynthia is the lovely lady who is always there to help me with my orders. She makes amazing recommendations and makes me laugh as she packages up each of my chocolate items. I work remotely and when I make a trip back to mothership (aka. Office Headquarters), I stop in and ask Cynthia to package up about 20 different truffle party favors for me. If you are a peanut butter lover, you have to try their peanut butter truffles. Their peanut butter crunch is like a reese's peanut butter and krackle love child. If you are placing a large order, I find it helpful to call ahead. read more

Wow! Where do I begin? I came here yesterday for a little treat and ended up having a truffle tasting with the owner, Karen, who is so sweet and knowledgeable. She has the most interesting combinations of truffles like dark chocolate quinoa, cherry lime, mango ginger and even curry. My favorite had to be the vegan dark chocolate peanut butter truffle with pink Himalayan sea salt! It was to die for!!! In addition to truffles they also make chocolate bars that have fun names to go along with their high quality ingredients. A box of truffles are a perfect addition to a dinner party or even as a hostess gift! What a great little shop! This chocolate shop emphasizes all of the things that are important to me... Organic, GMO free, soy free and vegan. Definitely stop in for a taste and a truffle...... or 5! The only thing you'll regret is not having visited sooner! read more

I stopped in last night before heading to Sabuco. Both are fabulous and I'm so thankful we have 2 new great spots in Laguna Niguel. Now, about the chocolate....it's amazing. Each bite is a meal in itself and the flavors are subtle, but interesting. I selected 6 different kinds and I'm slowly making my way through the box. The price is $2 per chocolate, but well worth every penny.This is not chocolate you eat one after another. It should be savored and maybe paired with a great wine. The owners are super helpful at describing the different flavors and what goes into the process. Very sweet couple. The My only recommendation is that they stay open later so folks from Sabuco can come over and enjoy a chocolate after dinner. I will be back! read more

Checked out this great little chocolate shop after researching Yelp for chocolatiers in South Orange County. Tons of selection which ranged from their own chocolate bars to incredible truffles of varying creative flavors. I was helped by the owners who were the nicest people and extremely knowledgeable on all things chocolate. The chocolate itself is some of the highest quality chocolate I have tried and is worth the premium price you pay. If you're looking for a special sweet gift for someone or just have a dark chocolate craving, this small, independent business is a must try. You will be hooked. read more

Located in a space where there used to be an excellent bakery, came looking for one found the other! Holy Smokes! My wife, who takes her chocolate very seriously, proclaimed one of their chocolates "best gianduia ever!" Sublime, subtle, heart racing, delicious concoctions made with obvious care. The owner is a very sweet lady named Karen, we work out together at our lovely box Dana point Crossfit. I went to her chocolate shop to buy chocolate covered strawberries the shop is really cute and has that home feel to it she took care of me when I dropped in, local businesses like this have a special place in my heart and have my business for life. Her selection of organic chocolates are off the chart I strongly recommend this place for your chocolate needs, Godiva and other shops don't match the quality, Care and pride in her chocolates. read more

The chocolates here are not your typical vegan dry tasteless chocolates... They are the most delicious chocolate bars I have ever tasted! AND yet they are super healthy!!!! I stumbled Upon This Place by accident and I have just moved to Orange County from Los Angeles.. So I am sort of a snob when it comes to sampling new foods and sweets! I haven't actually been to the physical store, but I just picked up a few bars from a local vendor, and this is the best chocolate I have EVER eaten. It has a rich, bold flavor, and the price is pretty reasonable, especially when you compare it to other high end chocolate producers. The Night Train 75 with the cocoa nibs in it is my all-time favorite. I cannot recommend their chocolate highly enough. read more

I placed an order for 30 white chocolate swans--a key part of the wedding favors--eight days prior to a wedding, with a confirmed pickup time of Thursday at 11:30 AM, the day before the event. When I arrived at the shop, the posted hours indicated it should have been open since 11 AM, but the store was closed and no one was there. I called multiple times and was given a series of excuses, including that her assistant had been hospitalized the week before. Eventually, Luisa arrived and continued to change her story, offering apology after apology and excuse after excuse. Only after I showed up in person did she actually begin to check whether the order could be completed. Several hours later, she claimed she could still fulfill the order and said the swans would be ready by 7 PM. Since we couldn't return that evening, we arranged to pick them up the next morning at 11:30 AM. Luisa said that would be no problem. However, the next morning, I began receiving texts saying the molds were damaged and she would not be able to complete the order. She offered only two swans--one for the bride and one for the groom. We ordered thirty. That was the entire point. This was a major letdown just before the wedding, and we were left scrambling. The owner demonstrated extremely poor communication, a complete lack of professionalism, and very questionable business practices. Once she accepted the order, she should have immediately confirmed that she had the capability and materials to fulfill it--not wait until the last minute. At no point was I told there might be a problem. This experience was an enormous disappointment during an important life event. I would never recommend Luisa Chocolatier to anyone. The owner is unreliable, disorganized, and lacks the accountability that any successful small business owner should have. I don't know how this shop is still in business.

Beyond disappointing…read more I arrived at 7:35 AM, to pick up my carry-out order of 2 sourdough loaves, and 1 jalapeno cheese croissant. I paid about $24. The layout inside was not clearly marked for where to pick up orders, and the regular in-store purchase counter. Because of that, I went to the in store purchase counter. There was one woman ahead of me, politely waiting to be acknowledged by the surly, disinterested young woman behind the counter who appeared annoyed that she had to pause her task of stuffing baguettes into bags--WITHOUT GLOVES. The employee did not smile, did not engage with the older lady buying the bag of coffee, and offered not a single welcome or pleasantry. At the same time, another young woman rushed behind the counter with a scowl on her face, didn't acknowledge me at all, clocked in, looked up at me waiting there, and then turned heel and walked away. The first young woman, whose hands had just been on finished bread, were now on the dirty POS screen and the older woman's payment card. At no point did I see her wash or sanitize her hands. When the transaction ahead of me concluded the surly young simply asked "Can I help you?" DMV employees have more warmth and personality. I responded that I had an order to pick up and gave her my name. She responded with, "You have to go over there," and pointed behind her. That was it. No "thank you," no "have a nice day." The second counter was no better. I stood at the pick up counter for a minute before being acknowledged me. It was long enough that a middle aged woman approached and asked if I'd been helped yet. Again, no smile, no greeting, not a single indication that this employee was grateful for my business. He also asked, with the same lack of humanity, "Can I help you?" I repeated that I was there to pick up my order and gave him my name. He seemed utterly bewildered, lacked any sense of urgency, and apparently couldn't find my name in his computer. He simply stated with a dead-pan monotone, "I gotta check on something." He went back to an unattended shelf that I didn't see or even know was there but was accessible by anyone. He brought my order out and handed it to me, and again I received no thank you, "have a good day," or any other effort toward making my patronage there seem appreciated. The loaves look fine, but the way they packed my croissant in the bag was such that it was on its side between the two heavier loaves and the sturdy paper bag. Of course these means that I pulled out a deflated, completely flat croissant with the filling mostly outside of the pastry. I can't say that this is because of the squishing, however, because the cheese was cooked and solid--just outside the croissant. The flavor was good, but after the first few bites where the filling had all come out of one side, the rest of the croissant had no filling, was super flat, and seemed unusually greasy. This sort of thing would never happen at Moulin. Between the horrible service, the insanely high prices, and the 7-11-level quality of the pastries, I'd recommend that you just go into the Sprouts right there and get something from them. Those employees are always happy/friendly, the value is there, and the quality is superior. Or better yet, go to Moulin where real, French-speaking men and women expertly practice their craft of exquisite artisan baking. Chaupain is a terrible, unsuccessful imitation.

We ordered their to-go tasting box; we loved being able to mix and match different cake and frosting flavors. The only flavor missing was the one we were most excited about--almond velvet. Without hesitation, they created a custom almond velvet tasting for us, and we instantly fell in love. We ended up choosing a 9" almond velvet cake with almond praline and vanilla buttercream, and it was absolutely delicious.
