I've been wanting to try this place for so long and am so glad we finally got to stop by! It's drive thru only so there's no hassle of needing to get out of your car anymore to order; however, you can opt to place your order online and pick up your goodies from their window in front too. Some things to keep in mind from what we've discovered: (1) they don't have any decaf options if you're getting coffee, so make sure you're ready to get caffeinated when you come here; (2) their sizes for iced coffee are gigantic--a large drink is 32oz! What we tried: Orange Blossom Mocha (from spring menu) - 3.5/5 Strawberry Sweetheart Matcha (from secret menu) - 3/5 Turtle Bay - 4/5 One & Only - 4/5 Overall, I enjoyed their cold brew options way more than the other two we got. Wanted a quick drink and we were in the area so we decided to stop by. We ordered a Beach, Please which is a Dr. Pepper with vanilla crème and cherry, but we got it with diet Dr. Pepper instead. The walk-up window was confusing because there were two sides, but no one was there to help us. We had to go around and that's when one of the workers saw us to help take our order. Hey guys, The Big Gorger here, I have been coming to Coco Playa for awhile now and can I just say, absolutely amazing place. Influenced by the SLOMW (Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives) to come and try since we don't have a Swig in town but who needs that when we got Coco Playa. The workers are always so nice and helpful. I personally get the "Layla" drink which is Mountain Dew, mixed with coconut cream, mango puree, and strawberry puree. I sub out Mt Dew for Sprite though. They have DELICIOUS pretzel bites and cookies. Had two new cookies such as the Ube and Celebration Cake as you can see in the pictures. Both amazing as well. Yet another drive thru coffee spot! This one has cute branding, with outdoor seating, a fun menu with a focus on coffee, and a chill vibe. I came here after seeing a social media ad but it's a little unclear how long they've been open - the outdoor seating is a little run down, one lane of the drive thru was closed, and the GPS struggled to actually navigate us here in a way that allowed us to pull in because it kept telling us to go in by the adjacent car wash (but there are one-way only signs). In any case, I used the walkup window to order the horchata iced coffee, half sweet, and a coconut refresher. Both were solid but I preferred the coffee. Menu has several tea options as well as dirty sodas, plus cookies. Check their social media for current specials like monthly drinks/flavors. They recently promoted a student discount, then people responded that the discount was not honored so YMMV. TIP: Make an account or use their app for discounts and points - I got a BOGO deal the next day but didn't want to deal with the traffic hassle again before heading out of town. read more

It's drive-through only and they've got a large coffee menu. I didn't try any of the coffees because it was kind of late in the day, but they were reasonably priced and there were a lot of options. I had a little bit of sticker shock initially when I bought the cookies. I got four and it was $20. But then the cookies were handed to me in this gigantic box that was quite heavy. I opened it up and there were four gorgeous cookies inside. I didn't get to try the Biscoff cookie dough because it was out that day, but we got a chocolate chip, a cookies and cream, a Dubai chocolate and a peppermint bark. All four were super tasty but I'm not kidding when I say it took three days for us to eat them. They held up well, just got to the last cookie today and it still tasted fresh. read more

If you ever had a New York Egg Cream or kind of like a Root Beer Float without all the ice cream its like that. Very tasty and creamy. Very pleasant. I also opted for a La Jolla or Venice which was very very good. This wasnt Starbucks so the coffee to creamer and mix ratio was a lot better as it was balanced for more coffee. The SO had the Matcha Latte. Which was claimed the best they ever had. Lots of caramel drizzle on this. But still wasnt overly sweet. I also got a cookie. I had to know what does a $5 cookie taste like? Well is it worth it? I got the oddest one the Blue Playa. Theres a lot going on in this cookie. Lots of textures. Its not too sweet and the flavors and cookieness is packed. Was it a $5 cookie? I do not think so. It was scrumptious. I think it should be around the $3.50-$4.25 range. The girl standing at the drive thru taking our order was super sweet and the girl at window was very nice as well. We both got the Beach Please and unfortunately it didn't look like the menu pic and didn't have the creaminess or flavors we expected, it was pretty watery. The Bacon Cheddar Scone was pretty bland, no bacon or cheddar flavor just tiny hard bacon bit like pieces and no cheesiness. My husband enjoyed the cheese danish. After coming home from visiting friends in Idaho and being spoiled with swig daily, I came here wanting a dirty soda after a quick google search suggested it. I'm genuinely very upset and disappointed. My main reason for being upset is the lack of apology from the employee who cashed me out. When she handed me my beverage she let go of the cup before I was even able to get a good hold on it, causing it to spill all over my car and body. No apology, no empathy. Nothing? Like at all, it was very clear she did not care and just gave a very blunt almost sarcastic sounding "do you want napkins?" (huh?? Obviously? what?) While she may have given me napkins and remade my drink, which was the bare minimum. I can't help but feel stuck on the fact there was no actual apology over the fact she dropped my drink into my had before I was able to hold it properly, something as simple as "I'm sorry" would have been enough. It's not unreasonable to want or expect a simple "I'm sorry that happened" Even more disappointing was my flamingo drink, it was not good and had a cough syrup flavor. As soon as I pulled over into the gas station, to continue cleaning up my seat and car floor, I threw it away. It was not at all anything like the many different yummy drinks I tried at swig. Obviously I know coco playa is different and not swig but it's just not good nor would I personally come back. The only decent product was the cookie, while it was cold it was at least soft and tasted like a cookie. Initially, they also put a limited amount of milk in the coffee, so I had to ask for more. The young lady at the window was friendly. There's no inside seating but there's some on the outside. CoCo Playa is a conveniently placed drive through with dirty soda, smoothies, treats, etc. I appreciate that you can easily get in and out of the center without having to do a bunch of maneuvers or turnarounds to get back onto your route. There was no one in line around 3pm on a Sunday and someone took my order quickly. I opted for the small size "Ken" which is Diet Pepsi, Coconut, Vanilla and I added coconut creme. It was absolutely delicious and compared well to Swig. The only downside is they do not have Coke! I would probably come this way much more as I prefer Coke products. However this is definitely a good alternative to Swig if you're in the area and craving a dirty soda. read more

I tried the cookies and cream one. It was decent size but slightly grainy from the sugar and just ok. The passion fruit pomegranate refresher tasted like watered down lemonade. It was pink but very unflavorful. The person at the window took the payment pad back when it was at the tip screen and tipped themselves. I've driven past this place and not known it was there. This weekend my daughter and her friend asked me to take her there to try it. It was lovely. We all ordered different refreshers and a cookie. I had the Seas the Day with a lemonade base. My daughter ordered the Peachy Keen with a Starry (like sprite or 7-up) base. I liked the bubbles, so next time I'll use a soda base as well instead of a lemonade base. I ordered the chocolate chip cookie because that's really all a girl needs and it did not disappoint!! I didn't expect that size at all for a large size. The drinks were similar in taste to Italian cream soda. They were refreshing in this hot summer. We also ordered white chocolate Macademia nuts cookies, cookie & cream cookies, and Nutella Bueno. The macademia nuts was buttery, chewy with crunchy macadamia. The cookies and cream cookie was ooey gooey, soft and chewy. It was my favorite.The nutella bueno was like a very rich chocolate chips cookie. It was good but very sweet for me. It was hard to find the drive-through opening, I had to wrap around the area twice because they're located near a busy intersection. I wish there were bigger signs to be able to find the opening easier. You can only order the drinks either drive-through or at the window. There are only 2 parking spaces open and it's pretty much located right against the drive-through line. Pretty much everyone with a car is waiting in the drive-through. Warning: the drive-through wait is like waiting in In N Out. The staff is more on the Trader Joe's friendlier side. Because the concept of dirty soda is new, the staff helps you go through their menu options while taking your order. Surprisingly, you can add a lot of stuff to a dirty soda so it does take a while to go through the options to prep your order. If you're the type to know what you want and want your drink fast with no chit-chat. I would order on the website beforehand and probably have a plus one to pick it up at the window. Personally, this is my first time having a dirty soda and I didn't particularly enjoy the taste of soda being dirty. It is a different experience for a sweet drink, so I might need to experiment or try other flavors. Cola-Colada (Medium/ no plant-based energy shot ): Cola, pineapple, and coconut milk. This is my favorite of the two drinks ordered. Sweetness is REALLY sweet, like if you were to get 125-150% sweetness in a boba drink. I probably would have liked this if there had been a sweetness adjustment. Coronado (Medium/ iced coconut/ 2 expresso shots): The expresso made the soda taste watered down. It tasted more like a coffee drink with a splash of soda with no hint of coconut flavor. I wouldn't recommend this if you were trying to get more of a dirty soda taste. read more

Had high hopes for Coco Playa with all of the advertising we had been seeing on social media, but we were very disappointed when we gave them a try. The location is in an awkward spot right off the freeway, so getting into the drive-thru or parking lot can be confusing. We stopped by around 10am, and the person working the drive-thru was very rude despite us letting him know that it was our first time and we had a couple questions about the menu. When we asked about cookies, he rolled his eyes and told us that they were sold out and the rest of the interaction was awkward. We pulled to the window and the girl seemed annoyed that we were bothering her conversation with coworkers. We realized after we had driven off that she gave us the wrong drinks even though we were the only car in the drive-thru at the time.
