Updating my review because it seems area salons have all recently adjusted their prices with the current inflation trend. I wasn't aware of nor had I experienced this previously and I get my nails done regularly. My previous rating was based on pricing for the most part, so here to revise my rating. Delayed over half an hour waiting from my appointment time. Every station busy. With appointment, I get assigned a newbie manicurist who normally only does pedicure. This husband and wife owners employ a full and diverse staff. No apology or appreciation for waiting from owners. Wife is rather cold. Be warned, prices originally quoted are altered. Paid more then I planned even though I patiently waited for close to 45 minutes and had to teach and guide the manicurist. Would not go back. On the manicure I received, technician was sweet and took her time. Did an okay job except due to her lack of experience took twice as long as an experienced technician. read more

RIP-OFFS! UNETHICAL PRACTICE! CHARGING FOR ADDED SVC WHEN NOT REQUESTED! My teenage daughter requested Acrylic "fill ins"--nothing more, nothing less. The website lists $25+. She was charged $42. When asked how did the price jump from $25 to $42 (website lists $25+), the worker responded "it was for gel nails which is extra $15." We DID NOT REQUEST GEL. He responded, "She have to tell me she DO NOT WANT GEL." I responded, "Why would you assume she wanted an upgrade? Why not ask specifically for something with added cost, when the basic fill in is $25? Wouldn't you start basic and ask permission for upgrade? They said "no, she should tell us she doesn't want gel." WHAATTT? VERY UNETHICAL PRACTICE!. My daughter knows gel polish and the process they used WAS NOT GEL! When I said that, they responded, "well, she can come back and we remove gel and put on regular polish." I said why would we waste another 30 minutes for you to do that? No desire to give an apology. There was no getting through to these workers. Another customer was seen before us taking out her calculator--I can only assume her total was unexpected as well. THEY ARE THIEVES--RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS AND FORCING PAYMENT FOR USE OF GEL PRODUCTS TO GET MORE MONEY. Regular polished worked just as well years ago. I'll never use this place again. I've been 3 times and planned to make this my salon...new to Savannah...I don't like red...over the years I've discovered two red shades I enjoy in December. Went in chose my shade and the girl refused to use the polish. She insisted I choose a red from the gel colors. We all know gel is more expensive. I wanted the color I chose. I'm paying for a service. They are MY nails that I have to wear for at least two weeks. Seriously? Remove the non gel colors if you refuse to use them. Btw... Percent of the times I've used gel they chip. I don't care if I have to wait 10 minutes for my nails to dry with the color I choose. My choice....my $...left salon after asking 3 times why I can't have the color I chose. I should receive a full refund. I cried in my car. This was a horrible experience and I paid for it. It's hard finding a nail salon that "nails" it every time but that's exactly what I've experienced since I've started going to Coco Nails & Spa. I like a simple nail, not big into design, but that being said I can still be picky. I walk out of Coco's loving my manicure each time. This is one of the first times I've ever had a good experience at a nail salon. I was a walk-in but got seated shortly which was good and I got a full acrylic set that turned out beautifully. Honestly had such high hopes for this place seeing as most people I know go here and they have wonderful reviews, but those high hopes were short lived. My nails we're great, for about 2 days and then they started to break and broke down past the natural nail. I also got shocked reactions from my friends when I told them I payed $65 and they said they rarely pay more than $45 for full sets. Honestly I feel very ripped off here. I will say Cindy did a wonderful job on my pedicure, but my manicure was just a waste of my time & money. I left with fingernails so thick & chunky that it looks like chiclets have been glued to my fingertips, and yet my hangnails were not trimmed or cleaned up at all. The glue used to add tips got all underneath my fingernails & was never cleaned up, despite me asking about it & being told she would clean it up at the end. The topcoat was messed up before I even got out to my car. Also, the "scented cuticle oil" they use, smells like fruit loops - no thank you. read more

I just got here to Savannah and was looking for a nail shop, so I gave this place a try. They did an amazing job! The person I went to his name is Ryan and did exactly what i show him in the picture. The only thing was that I wanted a beige French tip but they didn't have any colors that I wanted so I just went with the white, but still pretty good. By the way I got powder. read more

Went for a mani-pedi with my mom. I asked for a fill in and a pedi at the counter, and they took us both back at the same time for pedis. Johnny was great, but they did our pedis one at a time which was kind of weird. Since I went first, I thought they were going to do my mani while my mom was getting her pedi done, but they took other walk-ins that came in afterwards first. I asked multiple times about my mani and they kept saying "just a few minutes". We left once my moms pedi was done, without the mani. No apologies or even a care that the mani never got done. It took two hours to get both our pedis done. Also, the place smells SO strongly, like there's no ventilation. read more

I requested a full acrylic set and Nancy did them. I wanted long, coffin shaped, with purple marble French tips. The service was okay but the execution of what I asked for was terrible. I showed multiple reference pictures and attempted to guide her. They didn't come out right at all. I was extremely unsatisfied! After over 2 hours I did not have time to stay and get them redone. I ended up paying $105 including tip. I called the following day to schedule an appointment to fix them. When I arrived I showed another nail tech (who was very passive and did not care) the reference picture, he compared them and said there was NO difference. I asked to be compensated and get the color redone. I was told I was going to be charged for any changes I wanted. The only thing that could be done for free was to file down the design and keep the base color. As certified nail technicians I expect them to know the difference between marble and splatter paint. Out of respect for all clients, especially loyal customers a nail technician should say if they aren't capable of doing such intricate designs. Waste of so much time and money! read more
