I used to go to Numi but the quality of my manicure wasn't the same so I started going somewhere else. Well last week I couldn't get an appointment at the place I typically go, so I decided to give Numi another chance. I called and they were available for the time I requested but when I arrived I had to wait over 30 minutes after my appointment time, with not even an acknowledgement that they were running late. The person after me waited over an hour after her appointment time for a pedicure. While I was soaking, I was put at a dirty station and the girl next to me said she had the same problem. When it was finally my turn I got put at another dirty station so I asked for the lady to clean it, which she did. The rest of the manicure went fine. It's now been 7 DAYS and my nails are CRUMBLING, just as if I did them myself during Covid. My gel manicure typically lasts 2-3 weeks and my biggest complaint is that they get grown out but now they are chipping and splitting. I will not be returning and I hope they fix their processes soon.

At first, a lady named Miki told me it would be $30, then suddenly she changed it to $40 because it was "hard gel." Fine, whatever. I agreed to that. Then I asked for eyebrow and lash tint -- just tint, no shaping, no waxing. My mistake was not asking the price first. When it was time to pay, Miki told me it was $50 for lash tint and $50 for eyebrow tint. I was shocked. $100 just for tinting? Seriously? Even high-end Russian beauty salons don't charge that much. Realistically, both services together should be around $50 max. This kind of pricing is ridiculous and feels like a scam, especially for a first-time customer who wasn't told the price upfront. Completely unprofessional. Moreover, I came home and under my big thumb nail was bleeding like a skin damage probably from too much nail file even I asked to be gentle...Hopefully it's not some infection. I just wanted to have a nice nail experience today but got a headache instead. I don't mind to pay a generous tip but not when every step you are getting scammed... I also noticed they wash their tools in the sink very quickly and then just lay them out to dry. No other measures were taken. If you dare to come here, you are better off bringing your own. The actual gel mani was awful, the girl didn't even wash her hands before touching me, her own nails were absolutely filthy and she didn't even do a great job on my gel mani. There was topcoat all over my fingers, and she didn't push back my cuticles so they already looked old to begin with. Also the finish wasn't smooth and I can see small bumps underneath. When I went back and politely explained that this wasn't what I had asked for, instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, he became defensive and told me I would have to pay even more for a polish change. What is most disappointing is that he continues to respond to customers by arguing and making excuses instead of taking responsibility when the salon fails to provide the service that was requested. A professional response would have been a simple apology, a refund of the $10 charged for the cat-eye design, and an offer to correct the mistake without charging me again. Good customer service means listening to your customers, acknowledging when something wasn't done correctly, and making it right.
