Amazing massage at Signature Massage in Hillsdale. Jie and Tricia are the owners of Signature…read moreMassage - both of them used to work at At Ease Spa down the road, but when At Ease closed, they decided to open up their own place. This place is so much better and cozier, as well as quieter. Lots of parking in the lot in back or on the street and this section of Broadway is away from the hustle-bustle of town, so you are really relaxed when the massage or facial takes place, because there is little if any outside noise. In addition to really caring about your needs, both Tricia and Jie listen to what your body needs and take care of it. There is a lobby where you can wait for your treatment while sipping on tea or water. It's warm and inviting and I can't wait to return.

The opportunity to relax in a dedicated tranquility space with comfortable chairs blankets etc. After consulting with Tricia on any specific problem areas or places to focus on I was escorted into my massage room . My table was heated. the room had a subtle lavender scent and pleasant lighting set the scene. 50 minutes later all my problems had disappeared. My shoulders are usually very tight. Tricia patiently worked on them providing relief to my tense areas without any pain. I look forward to many more massages and facials and wish nothing but the best for this fledgling business. I'm giving more than 1 star because I really loved the technician I was seeing prior to this…read more I had an appointment on Wednesday. I'm a teacher and was going back to work. I made the appointment several days in advance. Prior to my appointment I received a call to see if I could move it because another customer wanted a longer service. Unfortunately my day was packed and I was unable to accommodate. I was left with an awkward oh... and I was given options for another day. That was issue number 1. I eventually rebooked for a few days later with the same technician. When I went in I said i was there for a 4:45 appointment with the technician and was brought to another desk with someone else. I did notice the technician I was supposed to see was busy so I figured someone else was going to start. That wasn't the case. Anyhow, I figured it's a regular manicure, what could be the issue... she asked if i wanted them filed or cut, they were cut very short, not the end of the world but not what I was expecting. the cuticle pushing and cutting was quite rough and my nails are uneven. I left, figuring ok, bad day but after getting in my car the nail polish literally slid off my nails... This has never happened to me. I would blame myself if i didn't let them dry enough but I sat for a long time. I know I should have gone back but i was there for over an hour and I have no more time to deal with it today. I'll be going elsewhere.

The lack of proper hygiene and knowledge of how to safely perform a pedicure caused my daughter to develop a serious infection. What makes the situation even worse is that no one has taken responsibility for what happened. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this salon.

There are times when you want Zen -- Botanical Spa can provide that (I've been going here for…read moreyears!!!) But then there are times you want to kick back and have a great chat with wonderful staff, like you are longtime girlfriends getting together to gossip. Botanical Spa & Salon offers everything you could want. My husband and I have enjoyed massages there, both couples and alone. This was the first time they accommodated me and I got a mani/pedi done my Carol. It's her place and the pride she takes in her staff and her work is unbelievable. Carol wants to listen to your needs and your day (like an therapist who is doing your cuticles). She catered to my needs and understood I'm not a girly girl, so getting my nails done in gray and blue was a super treat. She spent time to listen and to laugh -- she and her staff (super high 5s for Nicole and Sandra at the front desk) were unbelievably fun and excited for us to have a great time. Having folks who want you to have a good time and the best possible spa experience makes the entire experience more than a treat. You want to go back because, like Cheers, everyone knows your name and everyone knows your aches and pains and if you want pretty blue on your toes! The Botanical is inside the Marriott so parking is not an issue. Always try to call a day or two ahead of time to get the time you want (even though they accommodated us since we were coming in from out of town). They are not pushy with buying "extra" services or supplies or goodies -- they advise you if you like what they used or what you smell (the place always smells incredible). They are on time and courteous if running late. You will feel like a million bucks without paying a million bucks. The pricing is more than fair and the results are absolutely wonderful! I cannot thank everyone at the Botanical for being caring and being a lot of fun. If this is your first or your sixtieth massage you are in for a treat. Take the time and make yourself feel indulged!

After a week-long road trip from NJ to Chicago, my boyfriend and I really needed a massage. So we…read moredecided to scope out some deals on couples massages in the area. We found the Botanical Spa & Salon on Amazon Local. So to make sure we could use the deal immediately (as in next day), I called before purchasing to make sure they would accept it. The guy told me that I didn't need to buy the deal and they would honor the price. You would just pay them instead of paying Amazon, so that's what we did. They happened to have a slot open so the timing worked for us. Turns out, it wasn't actually a couples massage. You're actually in separate, adjoining rooms, and they just leave that door open. That's fine but if that's the case, they shouldn't advertise it as a "couples massage." Other than that, the massage was nice - nothing to complain about, but also nothing to write home about. The deal also included an add-on service, which was either a back scrub or a foot mask. I opted for the back scrub. They were a little rough on that but it was worth it because my back felt really smooth afterwards. With a massage, you also get access to their fitness center, hot tub, and pool. There's also a locker room and showers but the showers are pretty dismal-looking. One of the two doesn't even have a soap/shampoo dispenser. I probably wouldn't be back because the facilities didn't seem too spa-like (especially when you're sharing with hotel guests, since it's located within the Marriott). Plus, I feel like I could find a better deal elsewhere.
