Things have changed a lot recently -- and not in a good way. Earlier this month, I had a terrible experience with one of the male nail techs. I simply tried to explain how I wanted my nails, and instead of listening, he completely lost his temper. He cussed me out, stood over me yelling aggressively, and even snatched items off my station. His attitude was completely unprofessional and his customer service was horrible. No one deserves to be treated like that, especially when they're paying for a service. It's really disappointing to see how far the customer experience has declined here. I won't be returning after that. read more

Two gals were assigned to me- one for toes and another for hands. They work fast and did a good job. I have thin cuticles so I asked that they not cut any away but to just do a bit of clean up. Decided to try out Coco Nail yesterday for and I was happy with the results. Staff are friendly and the place is clean, but the music was dull and almost put me to sleep. I couldn't do anything on my phone while I was getting my nails done so I just sat there and waited to finish. I normally go to Milano down the street and at least they have TVs and decent music lol. I made an appointment for wax and nails, the nail salon had no ideas that I had the appointment. The nails were done good and very professional but the lady(Thahn) was not nice. When I I asked her to fix a few minor things she waved her hand (like this is bs) which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected.I got charged $60 for dip on natural nails, even that it said on their website $55, when I asked why additional $5 they said it's for oval shape and any other salon would charge extra for oval shape. I went to many other nail shops and they would only charge for caffeine and almond shape. They also specified that they can't include all minor things in their website and I have to go with whatever price they tell me. Then I showed then 15% off coupon from yelp and they told me they ain't giving me 15% because they only give 10% off to the new clients. They also claimed that they do not have yelp page. It seems like the owner of the place doesn't keep their stuff updated. Btw on their website 4 min was specified as part of service, did not got even a second of hand massage. Wax service wasn't provided. Idk why but I guess they didn't feel like it. Even that I remind them like 3 times. Drink options are poor. Soda, coffee and 3 alcohol options. Drinks are okay-ish... Overall nails were done very professional, but just because of stuff that is being mean, and not updated I have to give one star. Owners please do some trainings with your staff. They do amazing nails but do not provide good costumer service.... The manager has contacted me, she is being aggressive and threatening to sue me, because I took a photo of the salon where she was passing by. Dear manager, if you decide to sue me for posting a picture of inside or sharing that you threatening me, here are screenshot of the law. This is not about the price but about fake advertisement and awful customer service where manager instead of apologizing is threatening their clients, and nail technicians do not take costumer concerns seriously. Awful costumer service with great nail quality. If you do not mind being treated poorly by staff and all you care is a quality nail place then it's definitely place to go. To me it's a big no no. Went in today for a mani/pedi and was excited to try their pedicure services. (I've come in before for a manicure and was honestly not impressed with the lackluster customer service but wanted to see if this time it might be better given that the decor is nice. On my first visit, a young male technician rudely/nosily asked if I lived in the area - "You live over here?" - and what I did for a living, I guess implying that he didn't think I belonged.) For starters, when coming in for a "dip" service, they DO NOT want to actually give you a proper manicure - instead charging "extra" to soap and cut cuticles as if all they want to do is change polish and re-apply the dip to your nails. Let me re-iterate, there is absolutely no real manicure at all unless you ask repeatedly. Then, this time around, I left with very visible nail polish all around the nail bed only to have them reply when questioned that it would come off with more hand washes. WTH? Why not just fix it now and clean up around the edges if you can't paint (or in my case, "dip") inside the lines? I regret that I even tipped them at all after seeing how bad my thumbs looked in the (outdoor) light. Lastly, as I was paying, I forgot my sneakers given my feet were in the disposable footies post-pedicure. NO ONE bothered to tell me my shoes were still by my chair nor call me later to let me know I'd left them. (They make you "sign in" with your cell phone # so they have your contact information.) I literally got all the way home, into the house and had to drive back over to the salon later. Awful attitudes! Absolutely no customer service at all. Today was my last time. I had made a reservation a week in advance for an appointment for 2 pedis at noon and was easily able to call 2 days prior to change the time to 12:30PM. We arrived 30 minutes early and were asked to check in at the counter on the ipad they had set up. Then the young gentleman at the counter asked if we wanted to add anything else to the 2 pedis we had already scheduled and I added the very basic mani for myself. Afterwards, we were seated immediately next to each other. I had Kim who did my pedicure and Winnie who did my manicure. My boyfriend had another lady (don't remember the name). The ladies were very quiet, not very social. I guess they're just use to working and not conversing with their client to get to know who they are. The ladies had earbuds in one of their ears so it was kind of off-putting. I would have appreciated conversation since they don't have any TVs in the parlour for clients to watch and especially since they're doing my manicure i can't read my book. Service overall was good, my mani and pedi came out fantastic. There were complementary drinks offered, when we were seated, I asked for a mimosa but it didn't come out until half way through my pedicure because the gentleman at the counter forgot. he also didn't deliver my boyfriend a water until halfway through the service. I asked if they did a birthday discount which they did 10% off the entire bill. We gave cash to each lady for tips and they did ask for my drivers license to check that it was my birthday. I thoroughly adore this place. All the nail techs are so sweet, and they can execute all the designs you give them. They provide complimentary drinks and remember you if you come back, and they have a good points system as well to earn some money back. I have been getting my nails done here for over a year and if you see the photos attached, my nail tech here has been able to execute all the designs perfectly, even the extremely complicated ones. I had an AMAZING experience. The salon itself was beautiful on the inside but what really made this worthy of a review was the service! Mind you this is the first time I have ever been motivated to write any sort of review. The man at the front desk was super welcoming and had a great smile. My nail tech was Sam and she was fantastic at hospitality and listened to any little request I had. What was even better, when she wasn't sure how to go about shaping one of my nails ( it required extending nail gel ) she made sure to grab someone who was more experienced with it. She took her time to watch the process, I could tell she wanted to learn it better and i was grateful that she made sure I was able to get exactly what I wanted when it came to my nails. Sad to have a negative update for this review. I returned a week ago for another pedicure. This time, Han provided my service. She was so kind and hardworking, but she did something really painful when cleaning up the sides of my big toe. I usually can handle some pain, but I couldn't hold back the groan on this one. Shortly after, it happened again, and an "ow" escaped my mouth. I thought she had taken off a chunk of skin as my toe looked rather raw, but I'm not sure if there was any bleeding as she put a liquid over it right away. My toe hurt for the rest of the day and has been aching since. I believe it became infected a few days later, as pressure on the area produced significant pain. Wow. I am sad to be writing this because I normally love going here. I got my nails done two weeks ago and noticed my nail turning brown underneath the acrylics. After taking off the acrylics, I discovered my nails were filed so thin, that they cracked in half. My nail was decaying underneath the acrylic from the damage. This is my go to nail salon and they're not 100% perfect but I love them. It's really cute and clean inside and they play relaxing music and offer drinks, hand massage chairs, all that. Great location too, but they get VERY busy frequently. I wouldn't mind so much but I've had a couple times where they promise 20 minutes and it ended up being more like an hour + which then made me late for work, but they have not had an incident like that since. Everyone is super nice and As you can see, they did an amazing job on the clear nails but I forgot to get that particular techs name. They said she was the best one. But no one could figure out who did them when I came back for my fill in. It would be 5 stars if I only had that nail tech every time. She might be the best nail tech I've ever had. Everyone else is good enough though for me to be satisfied, except for this one male tech, he did a nail repair and it was borderline hilarious how bad it looked compared to the others. I've been going for years but clearly there must be new management that focuses on quantity over quality. Shellac nails are supposed to last two to three weeks. Not at Coco Nails. Went in for a repair of 5 lifted and 1 shellac nail polish that came off with no damage to my nail. They wanted to charge me full price and I refused. My last visit was on 5/26/2023. I said no. For whatever reason during the pandemic, I convinced myself I was really good at painting my own nails - and my recent trip to Coco Nail Spa was the my first real manicure since March. I felt very well protected + there was a plexiglass partition up between my manicurist and myself.
