They greeted, asked me for my drink choice, and pointed me to my chair for pampering. I choose a dip manicure and the tropical pedicure. So, The nail spa I usually go to has burned down and I'm waiting for them to return. I've been nail salon hopping for awhile now. I can't seem to find a place that's as consistent as Q nail spa on WGray. Anyway, Here is my review. Ehhh. This place is usually pretty good. This time was disappointing. I was in a hurry to leave because I had a lot of other things to do and I had to go to work in a few hours. I left and then looked at my nails while I was driving: what a huge disappointment. I called and apparently spoke with Management and requested to have a refund and my nails just taken off. I was told I could not do that because I initially said they were good AND if I wanted them taken off I would have to PAY!! What?! Really? I paid $67 for the color powder nails and then $10 to take them off because "it took time to do them." Really? Well I literally wasted my time sitting in the chair to have my nails done like this. After having to go back and forth with management about a refund, I just decided to keep the nails and take the "L". Debating on posting this because I know how bad reviews can harm a business, but when management doesn't seem To care, and I am stuck having to look at these awful looking nails, you gotta say something. Eww! I didn't want to return to the business for a "refund"because who wants to go back and forth? To me, that's a total waste of my time. If nothing is to be resolved accordingly. I got a gel manicure on Monday. It is now Friday and already chipping. It felt rushed. Just wasn't impressed. They were super busy and I had to wait for almost an hour. This place is awesome!! I I always get a pedicure with Polish and the dip powder on my nails, and the technicians always make sure the colors match. For one Mani/pedi the toe polish was way darker than the nail color I had picked the lady doing my pedicure and asked if it was OK and I said I thought it was going to be a little lighter but it was fine, even after saying it was fine, she got up and picked out four different shades of the color and made sure that my toes were the exact color that I wanted!! They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my manicure. My nails are always the perfect shape when I come here and they last a long time! read more

I would love to preface this review by saying that I have been to this salon frequently, and have never experienced something like this before. I would be understanding and empathic if the situation was made right, but it wasn't. I was getting my usual powder fill when the tech dropped the drill and it sliced my finger open. It immediately started bleeding to the point where they had to pack it with gauze and GLUE. They tried to stop the bleeding for 10-15 minutes before continuing to service me. After I paid I noticed that blood was soaking through the bandaid. It was a deep cut that should have never happened at a nail salon, but it was not life threatening. On top of that, my nails lasted a mere 8 days before two of them cracked and broke. I paid full price to have my finger sliced open and have my nails break within a week. As soon as i got home my shellac was lifting and already peeling off this has never happened to me before. My pedicure was on point but only lasted one week! The manicurist refused to buff my nails but gave me this speech on why.a clear coat of hardener was better. Not used to having anyone NOT do as asked, I decile do to dispute it & agreed. The pedicurist cut my toe where it bled profusely. She attended to it and I did as well when I got home. However, after 30 years of pedis, I got the mother of all fungal infections in my toe. $211.00 in medical visits and three sulfur drug prescriptions and 6 weeks later, I can get another pedicure. I have a heart condition and infections are a no-no. Just because a place looks lovely, the cleanliness is of the tools is paramount. I would rethink going there. read more

Just moved out to houston from NY, was looking for a new nail salon and was recommended here! We were excited to have a new place since we heard good things, turns out it was a nightmare. It was pretty crowded on a Friday...I was hesitant to stay because I was afraid we wouldn't get much attention and that's exactly what happened! We were in need of relaxation so we went in and paid for the $55 pedicure milk and honey package which is supposed to be 55 minutes ,plus manicure. I knew something was wrong when they didn't use the honey. Everything was so rushed, even the water was cold. The hot stones were on for about 2 minutes tops when it says 15, just everything about the pedicure was rushed and horrible! The 5 minute shoulder massage was more like 1 minute! We didn't receive the full service! It was nothing but NOT relaxing. The woman was doing my nails during my pedicure so I couldn't relax half of the time. When I got home I noticed my toe was missing polish all over the top, and on top of it my nails weren't put under the gel machine long enough so the polish feels weird. Very upset, Paid over $170 for this! I don't know if this was because they were busy but I would not recommend this place. We live right in river oaks what a shame I guess we will have to find another nail salon. read more
