What a great find! Coco Freeze Ice Cream Shop in Indio is awesome. It is located in a slightly run down strip mall with plenty of parking. Coco Freeze would do great anywhere in the valley; including La Quinta and Palm Desert. The decor is off the charts. There is an eclectic assortment of collectibles from past decades, such as cash registers, airplanes and bicycles hanging from the ceiling, malt making machines, tin sign art, and tiki bar items with surfboards. It's a little challenging to figure out what the overall theme is, but it is cool. There is also a bar that overlooks old toys and a flat screen TV. They have a traditional menu above the cash register, but the walls in the entry are covered with colorful hand drawn menu items. The menu is huge and includes traditional ice cream, conchita, churros, ceviche, hot dogs, tamales, spicy Cheetos, and the list goes on. I was feeling adventurous and ordered a scoop of pralines and cream; vanilla ice cream with pralines. It was great. I sat at one of the elevated vandalized tables. These tables are made of wood and have hundreds of etchings on them. It appears someone etched into the wood a long time ago, and people continued with their own etchings making the tables look like they were made to be that way. I would ask the staff if it is okay to had your own mark. In regards to the service it was very good.

I would write this review for the new coco freeze location in Coachella (but couldn't find the page for it since they just opened a few weeks ago) So my brother and I went to go check it out today and buy some munchies we were craving and we couldn't help but notice that they have a long ways to go for good quality of what they are serving. I ordered Strawberries with whipped cream and what I got was rotten sour strawberries that had more granola in them then whipped cream, my brother ordered hot Cheetos with nacho cheese and it was like they gave him less than 4oz of hotcheetos in his box, the only thing that was okay was the strawberry shake he ordered. Other than that I feel like it cost too much for such bad quality of product. I expected MUCH more since their location in Indio is really good!

On my first visit, I ordered Volcano Cheetos which comes with corn, hot cheetos, queso, nacho cheese and hot sauce. Ill be honest, it was good! Their raspados are good as well. They do not lack in flavor where some places it tastes like water with sugar. What they need to improve is their speed of service. It did take a little longer than usual for my Volcano Cheetos and raspados to be ready. This place is great if you crave something sweet or spicy!

This place is trendy but the people who work here are too slow they took literally 30 minutes to complete my order and charge me .50 cents for using a CREDIT Card when I payed CASH. They have no consideration for there customer time. #2 and after waiting the 30 minutes I found a hair in my fruit.

    Here's my order.

Coco freeze you are my comfort food and today you failed me not your fault you were out of my go to takis desert corn but to take 25+ minutes to hand me an uncooked corn that's definitely not it

This place is great for any cravings you have!! Butttttttt, expect to wait. The service is excellent and all the employees welcome you with a smile. Just come with a little patience.

The menu on the wall says raspado medium $3.99 but the price charged is $4.50

Terrible! I purchased an ice cream cone and a raspado and they both were delicious. However, the service was not. I work in customer service and I know how to treat customers and let me assure you I was not treated the way a customer should. This establishment has a menu with set prices that they do not honor. When I told the person behind the register that she had overcharged me she simply replied by saying that the prices had changed and that was an old menu. In this case the person behind the counter (Marlene) has to admit it's their fault for not changing the prices on the menu and return the customer the amount that was charged It was only .50 cents this time but who knows how long this has been going for and how many customers have been ripped off already, including me. I will not be coming back to Coco Freeze.

We went in "just to look" (famous last words) and walked out with 3 cupcakes: vanilla bean, red velvet, and salted caramel toffee... plus a mocha tres leches parfait because self-control is seasonal and clearly out of stock!! Every single bite was the kind of good that makes you close your eyes mid-chew and ignore whoever's talking to you. But let's discuss the real star: the frosting!!! I was fully prepared for standard whipped cream or buttercream vibes, and instead got this cloud-like, silky situation that tasted rich but somehow light enough to justify eating an entire cupcake without emotional consequences. Tiffany herself let me in on the secret.... it's Italian meringue buttercream. So basically, classy buttercream that went to finishing school. Tiffany is also an absolute gem... warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she's baking up. You can taste the love (and the butter, but mostly the love)!!! If you're in the desert and your sweet tooth starts whispering reckless ideas, listen to it. And definitely support this family-owned local spot. We'll be back for "research purposes" and to satisfy our sweet tooth!!

It was well after the lunch rush but it was pleasantly busy. Employees were friendly and checking on patrons, serving food and tending to empty tables. We had been waiting awhile, so I carried our number in with me and made note of the numbers they were delivering... which were higher numbers than ours, but also very random. I went to the cash register and asked the employee if they called the numbers in order. She answered politely that no they didn't. I then mentioned we were sitting outside and asked if I should wait inside for my order so they wouldn't have trouble finding us. We were not in a hurry and were trying to make it easy on the hardworking employees....and bonus that it was cool inside *At that point, a man who I perceived was a manager or maybe even the owner , turned to me from behind the counter, handed me a bag and said " Here Ma'am , GO!" Then turned back around to what he was doing. What? GO? I don't know what his intent was because I'm not a mind reader, but it felt rude and dismissive. His facial expression was as though he was busy and or annoyed. I was so surprised at his response in such an otherwise pleasant environment. After a family…read moresushi dinner this past Sunday night (April 19th), we decided to see if the local hype around Better Ice Cream was justified. Spoiler alert: it definitely is. First Impressions & Atmosphere The moment we walked in, the first thing I noticed wasn't just the display cases--it was how clean the place was. You could literally smell the freshly mopped floors, and every table was shining. It's rare to see a high-traffic dessert spot look that sharp on a busy weekend night. Service Under Pressure There was only one young lady behind the counter, and despite the place being packed, she was a total pro. She was incredibly attentive and managed to get everyone's order--including our group's--completed flawlessly without breaking a sweat. That kind of service is hard to find, especially when a shop is that busy. The Main Event: The Flavors The ice cream itself was amazing, but the real showstopper for me was the Orange Julius. It isn't pictured, but it was the highlight of the night. One sip took me straight back to my childhood--it was perfectly creamy, frothy, and hit all the right nostalgic notes. The Verdict Whether you're finishing off a meal or just looking for a weekend treat with the family, this place delivers. Great vibes, spotless environment, and top-tier treats. Pro Tip: If you're looking for a trip down memory lane, get the Orange Julius. You will not be disappointed!
