My first meeting with them was very educational and they took a lot more time explaining my options with me than the other two doctors I had consulted with. They were very friendly and did not try to "sell" me on any kind of procedure. After choosing to go with them I scheduled my surgery and they did the rest! The process was very smooth and they assured me every step of the way. It has now been almost a year since I had the procedure completed and my vision is better than 20/20! I cannot believe I waited so long to get the Lasik Eye Surgery completed. Laser eye surgery was something that I had always wanted to do but was too nervous to let anybody mess with them. Dr. Robert Snyder was the best choice I could have ever made!!! Thank you Dr. Snyder and your entire team. If you are looking for a professional doctor to improve your eyesight, do not go anywhere else until you visit Dr. Snyder and his staff.

The optometrist Dr Crouper or Pooper or Duper says I have cataracts on both eyes that require immediate surgery and their opthalmologist Dr. Boyder or Boulder can do it next week. He says don't get new glasses the prescription may be different after surgery. I said I can see fine wear them when driving or reading. He says I don't think you see as well as you think you do. That's when I knew he's full of it. Soo I passed on the refractive exam and went to another optometrist here in town Sierra Vista. He did the exam and I got my new glasses there because my vision got better with age and the glasses I had were too strong. I asked him if I had cataracts because he hadn't mentioned it and he said yes that I did and MIGHT NEED SURGERY IN TEN YEARS if I live that long. SW charged me $40 for the medical eye exam and would've charged me another $35 for the refractive exam which I found out are both 100% covered by my insurance. These people obviously are dishonest.

I had two appointments at SW Eye Center with Dr. Hooper before leaving USA. On both examinations, I was told all was perfect with my eyes. Taking this information, I continued with my overseas retirement plans, and moved to Colombia. The day of my flight, I had what best can be described as looking like a "spiderweb" through my left eye. After three days of this issue, which I had thought may have been a cataract, I went to a top-rated eye clinic in Medellin. The eye doctor examining my eye found that I had a retinal detachment in my left eye, and I needed surgery IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE MY EYE! Fortunately, I was operated on that very afternoon, and everything went great. Since a detached retina is a two-part surgery, I had the subsequent surgery three month later. All is well, fortunately. I was obviously misdiagnosed at Southwestern in Sierra Vista. Of course giving this eye center the benefit of the doubt, maybe the detached retina, which comes after a tear in the retina, just happened to occur on the flight? Maybe....but then the tear should have been noticed.

You better have a thick wallet because it's not just the prescription that could cost you. At check-in, one of the forms to sign (if you want it) refers to refraction. I know the definition and have never heard it used to refer to an eyeglass prescription. I was told there would be a cost of $50* to get a copy of my prescription, and it's not covered by insurance. * in addition to the office visit charge The other issue was regarding co-payment and, once again, the receptionist and the office manager insisted that I HAD to pay the co-pay. I have dual insurance coverage, which means the secondary insurance picks up the remaining balance not paid by the primary insurance. This has been the case for me for the past seven years. Both women insisted this was incorrect. I paid! Now, two weeks following this encounter, I was not surprised that the co-pay was refunded back to my account ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Who knew, hmm, guess I did! The receptionists needs to be replaced. She's terrible with people, and because of her, I will not be returning here. Thank you to Dr Rosen
