Idk what others have experienced, but Daynes Eye Care is the absolute worst ever since Dr. Daynes…read moreleft. I went in for my yearly exam, and the "doctor" didn't listen to me. I said that I see double. And, you know what her response was? "You won't see double with your new contacts". That was a lie... I still see double and when I contacted them, they said they'll give me a different pair of contacts - with NO exam!!??? How is the doc supposed to know how to fix my double vision without another exam?!! So, I just wrote it off and since she increased my prescription by TWO points, (and I can see "fine" through my old glasses) now, I have to wear my readers if I want to see something that's less than 5 ft away. And, I was tired of trying to get it fixed. Yesterday, I went in to pick up my glasses and they're worse than the contacts!!! I still can't focus, still see double, and can't see, again, anything that's less than 5-6 ft in front of me. The gal who gave me the glasses had me read an eye chart, and I couldn't read below the 4th line and it was still double. Her response "oh, it's because you took your contacts out" (the crap ones they gave me). So, I left with still not being able to see. I was hoping it would clear up once I got home and wore them for a while, but I had to take them off and put on my old glasses. All I could see was double, and was getting a severe headache. When I put my old glasses on, the headache was relieved. Oh, and to top it off, I was told I couldn't use my existing frames, even though when I was there yesterday, the guy was using his existing frames - so that was another thing I had to pay for. I wanted to just keep my frames, not buy a new pair, so I'm really pissed about that. I'm going to go in next week, return these new glasses and my contacts. My insurance company already said that if the doc can't help me, they'll reverse the claim so I can go to a doc who actually pays attention to my "needs". So, all that to say, if you haven't been there DON'T go!! Why go to a doc who doesn't listen??

As I feared when Dr. Dayne retired it wasn't going to be good. This new Dr Rimbergas is all about…read morehelping you until you ask specific questions. I went in for what I thought was something in my eye. There wasn't. She said something just happens they don't know why here's some drops. The prescription DOES NOT SAY how long to take them. I called because my recheck was over a week away. The girl that answered put me on hold, came back told me she had spoke to the doctor & to use it for a week. I said my appointment is a bit longer than that & she repeated a week. Ok. Fine. Fast forward to my appointment. Doctor asked if I'm still using the drops I said Sunday was the last day because that was a week. She kinda berated me saying I should have not stopped until I saw here. I told her about the phone call because there was no instructions on prescription telling me how long or until you see your doctor. She said that was obvious & implied that I should have continued till I saw her. She asked who I spoke with but I couldn't remember a name. She said if you don't ween off them it could come back. I kid you not the next day my eye was red again. So I started them again and called in the next week. The phone calls did not go well. I was told there was nothing she could do for me & go see an ophthalmologist. Just like that. We are done with you I said? I was put on hold & the Dr got on basically covering her but. She said they had a big meeting about who would have told me incorrectly about when to stop the drops. Big surprise whoever it was lied & told her she advised me to use them till I saw her again!! I told her that was a lie & I had no good reason to make that up. Well I said good luck with your lying front end staff cuz someone is covering their own butt on this one. The other reviews saying the girls upfront are loud & unprofessional are absolutely correct. When Dr. Dayne was there it wasn't this bad but now it's off the hook. It's too bad because I really liked coming here. I never had a bad experience with him.

80 y.o. went for medical and refractive eye exam just routine wanted to replace my 15 year old…read moreglasses. The optometrist Dr Crouper or Pooper or Duper says I have cataracts on both eyes that require immediate surgery and their opthalmologist Dr. Boyder or Boulder can do it next week. He says don't get new glasses the prescription may be different after surgery. I said I can see fine wear them when driving or reading. He says I don't think you see as well as you think you do. That's when I knew he's full of it. Soo I passed on the refractive exam and went to another optometrist here in town Sierra Vista. He did the exam and I got my new glasses there because my vision got better with age and the glasses I had were too strong. I asked him if I had cataracts because he hadn't mentioned it and he said yes that I did and MIGHT NEED SURGERY IN TEN YEARS if I live that long. SW charged me $40 for the medical eye exam and would've charged me another $35 for the refractive exam which I found out are both 100% covered by my insurance. These people obviously are dishonest.

At the end of April 2023, I had just retired, and had been preparing to move to Medellin, Colombia…read more In March of that year, I started having issues with my left eye such as an unusual and sudden amount of "floaters." I had two appointments at SW Eye Center with Dr. Hooper before leaving USA. On both examinations, I was told all was perfect with my eyes. Taking this information, I continued with my overseas retirement plans, and moved to Colombia. The day of my flight, I had what best can be described as looking like a "spiderweb" through my left eye. After three days of this issue, which I had thought may have been a cataract, I went to a top-rated eye clinic in Medellin. The eye doctor examining my eye found that I had a retinal detachment in my left eye, and I needed surgery IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE MY EYE! Fortunately, I was operated on that very afternoon, and everything went great. Since a detached retina is a two-part surgery, I had the subsequent surgery three month later. All is well, fortunately. I was obviously misdiagnosed at Southwestern in Sierra Vista. Of course giving this eye center the benefit of the doubt, maybe the detached retina, which comes after a tear in the retina, just happened to occur on the flight? Maybe....but then the tear should have been noticed.

last year I went to this location and got the eye exam plus a pair of glasses. first in the eye…read moreexam they only got one eye corrected. ordering the glasses seemed straight forward enough. three weeks later i was told the glasses had arrived. I paid an extra 40 dollars to have them overnight them to my house 40 miles away. i called them 4 days later and they had not even shipped them. it took another four days for them to arrive when I paid for overnight. This year I went through them yet again. I had the eye exam and another pair of glasses ordered. I received the call last Monday that the glasses had arrived. I called and paid for them to ship them on Wednesday of last week. here it is a friday on the following week and they still haven't arrived. it is only 40 miles. I can't even tell if the prescription is right this time as i still don't have them. if you use them don't expect them to keep any part of their word regarding customer service. Update: The glasses arrive after i got my insurance company involved. 13 days to get glasses from 40 miles away. here it is the Saturday after I received sat glasses writing this review. it too me this long to calm down enough to do said update. the screw for the right Lense was not put in correctly and left a gap in the frames. This makes the Lense wobble. I cannot trust anything about these glasses at this point and have already ordered some for another retailer. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
