When I first walked in there was a female on her cell phone. She was the only employee from what it looked like, but did not acknowledge me at all. After looking around for a bit, it definitely feels more of like an Ashley furniture or another high-end store. The prices were very high for used furniture. Some pieces were $700 for just the two seater couch and you can buy those new for that price. I think they have a great selection so definitely recommend coming but I would shop during their sales sometimes they have 50 to 70% off our entire store other times they have 20% off

Around the corner from Schnucks on Zumbehl Rd, I found Design on a Dime. It's a consignment shop…read morefor furniture and home decor. I thought for years that it was an interior design shop. The shop is in semi-organized clutter. Some areas have been staged together. It's hard to find anything special, as most items, even art, are at floor level. The items you'll find are typically oak furniture, commercial art, love seats, couches, and lots of lamps. As a middle-aged person, I'm guessing the appeal is for more senior adults, or those who value traditional discounted used furniture. I asked the employee about the shop, how long it had been around, etc. She answered my questions with a frown. No sense of feeling welcome. Later, she chatted with someone she knew who came in. I did find a set of white cotton fancy dinner napkins in the clearance section for $3. I give it three stars because of the lack of friendly staff and the staging that makes it hard to walk through and find things. It's okay for an occasional visit but not worth regular checkins.

My wife and I just purchased a beautiful sectional at Carol House Furniture in Valley Park, and it…read morewas a wonderful experience! FIVE STAR ALL THE WAY! We first met Dave our salesman, while browsing and thought we found the right sectional within a short time of looking and sitting on multiple pieces. Dave suggested that we could have a designer come to our home and help us by creating a 3-dimensional layout of our great room to be certain that the sofa would fit properly as well as help with other decorative insights. Danielle came to our home within a few days, measured everything, knew all about this sofa, answered all of our questions and concerns, told us about their incredible protection plan and discussed prices for each sectional option. We followed up with her a few days later when she showed us multiple angles of our room with a 3-D created version of how the sofa would look with our current room furniture. There was never any pressure to buy it. We did some additional shopping online at "high end" nationally recognized furniture stores and in some local furniture stores to see if any other better options were available to us as well as cost comparing and then, were totally convinced that the sectional at Carol House was the best choice for ALL the right reasons. We also met the store manager, Chris, who answered additional questions we had. He was so nice too. A follow-up review will be written once they deliver our custom sectional in 10 weeks. Stay tuned. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, Danielle and Carol House Furniture! We will HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to our friends! Ray and Lori Davis Town and Country, Missouri

Well I have nothing but time to tell the world just how half/ass your customer service is. Might want to hire fifth graders- they might be able to get it right. I know they could have walked my check to my house in three months time. Hell I could have walked to get it in that period of time - as it appears you just can't get it RIGHT. Can't mail Can't direct deposit can't find important documents - why are you even open.

This location was well stocked. They are also connected to a Marshall's so you can shop both stores at the same time. The aisles are narrow, and kind of hard to navigate if you have a cart and other customers are in the aisle. The Checkout line was long, and didn't seem to be moving quick.

At Home Goods, I found lots of options for indoor and outdoor planters and stands. They have lots of plush throws and pillows, home decor, bath accessories, bedding, and more. Prices are good. Like any store, quality varies by brand. Marshalls is the clothing side. I don't care for it so much, because it has a less organized feel. There aren't necessarily multiples of items in different sizes, so you just hope you can find things you like that fit you. That can mean extra time trying things on, or searching racks hoping to find that piece in a different size. I did pick out some $10 sunglasses. Time to check out. Holy crap! There were at least 25 people in the queue. While we waited for 5-6 cashiers to process us, we were herded like cattle through aisles of low priced goods. Impulse shopping opportunities everywhere. Cocktail napkins, candy, curling irons, earrings, hair accessories, phone cases, home decor accessories, toss it in your cart! My cashier was very nice and fast, too. I'm sure I'll go back to HG, but not on a weekend. She said every weekend they have long lines, and they never have sales.

On the second attempt to deliver, I clearly requested an hour's notice since I don't live at the property. Instead, I received a text less than 15 minutes before their arrival at 8:30 a.m. -- no consideration or proactive communication. They knew the day before that I was the second stop and could have easily notified me sooner. There was zero mention that someone had to be physically present at the property -- not in the store, not in the confirmation email, and not in any of the text messages. I even had a door code ready and was available by phone, but that wasn't acceptable to them either. The communication failures at every stage -- in-store, via text, and during delivery coordination -- were unacceptable. This will be the last time I purchase from Bob's. If you value clear communication and reliable delivery, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
