Garbage. Paid way too much to have my favorite flats re-soled, they put some thick piece on the bottom that looks nothing like the original and it CRACKED on the second or third wear since the "repair." I brought a pair of 3.5in pumps in recently (the heel separated from the shoe) and their plan was to GRIND THE HEEL DOWN. Ummm, I think not. Never going back. PS, i'm pretty sure they start charging you more when you bring nice shoes in. Either that, or they are just steadily and significantly raising prices. I dropped off a couple of pairs of heels to have the heel taps replaced. Maybe I'm old, but I remember when this used to cost $5-6 per pair of shoes...I was charged $20 per PAIR to be paid IN ADVANCE, so I don't even know how good the work will be, but already I almost could have just bought new shoes for that price. And the pick-up date is more than a month out - I'm glad I wasn't desperate to get them done for an event. This place must be really popular, and I'm sure they recognize that they are a dying breed, as there are few real shoe repair shops left in the area, but I feel like this is sort of "highway robbery" because I can't imagine what they might be doing to make replacement heel taps worth $10 a shoe. Maybe when I pick them up I'll be pleasantly surprised, and I'll have brand new shoes...but I'll have to think twice before I use their services again. read more

These guys are a cut above the rest. They did a great job with some complex heel repair jobs that I had on very nice shoes, I have a lot of dress shoes and I have struggled recently to find a place that does quality shines and repairs. I've used several other shoe places in the area and actually had them ruin my shoes and struggle with repairs. Cobblers corner is awesome. They do very very fine work at a fair price. They are always friendly, and I have always had a very good turnaround times. I highly recommend this outfit over the others. After reading good reviews, thought I'd take my favorite pair of boots to get the rubber bottoms replaced on the natural wood heels. I was very stunned when I picked up the boots and the heels and sides of the soles of my boots had been stained a hideous brown color and very sloppily done. These were black boots with natural wood colored heels. The guy explained that part of the heel had been sanded when the rubber bottoms were removed and had to be stained. I think a better color should have been chosen to match the boots. So basically I paid $20 to throw my beautiful favorite boots from England in the garbage. Very sad so...time to shop on Zappos for replacement pair. read more

This guy knows his stuff. It's more than a shoe repair store, they work on leather of all types. Shoes, boots, coats, jackets and handbags. I have had a zipper replaced in leather jacket. There were motorcycle saddlebags and even a saddle in the back. The owner Jeremy is a heck of a nice guy. I will use them for all my leather repair needs. read more

My husband was very attached to a belt he has owned since 1973. Unfortunately the stitching around the buckle had come loose and he had not been able to wear it for several years. I am ashamed to admit he even tried to staple it back together...though I guess that is better than trying duct tape. Not only did Jeremy do a great stitching job, he reconditioned the leather so that it looked almost brand new. In fact, it looked so good that when I gave it to my husband he turned it over and over thinking at first I had bought him a different belt! My first contact with Mike Gillespie told me what I needed to know about him and his shop . . . when I asked him if he repaired cowboy boots he replied that he specialized in them. I have taken my collection of boots to various cobblers over the years (a cobbler good at his craft is difficult to find these days) and had mostly good results. Never gone back to those that were mediocre. Mike did an A1 job on my worn out/beat up Nocona boots Ive worn daily. They looked better than new and when I tried them on they felt great !
