How can I describe something that feels so awful, and so wonderful at the same time? Gua Sha. Argh. I have never had it done before (never even heard of it) but I came to Grace in so much pain caused by immense stress. At first, I thought that "neck scraping" was going to increase my stress because honestly, I was in such pain that it did hurt a bit. Moments later, I relaxed and (almost) enjoyed the sensation. But from the time I left the office, and over the next few days, I was pretty much painfree! I love getting acupuncture, and I've also had cupping done at Cobble Hill; both amazing sessions with Grace, whose healing powers are unparalleled. But now I'm adding Gua Sha to yet another miracle treatment to my overall plan. All I can say is that going to Grace has helped me to no longer need pain medication, and I no longer go to physical therapy 5 days a week. read more

Grace is amazing at her work. There were some nerves when first coming here, but it quickly dissipated when the session started. Grace was reassuring and calming. read more

I left my session feeling more stressed and anxious than I came in. I was new to acupuncture and told this to Grace (my practitioner). I expected her to provide general guidance on what to expect from the session and come check in a few times to make sure I was comfortable. However, I was left alone on the table with needles all over me for 1.5 hours while she attended to a slew of other patients who came in the clinic. The constant chatter of clients going in and out in such a small space was definitely not relaxing. After 1.5 hours, Grace came in, removed the needles - and just left. When I came out to pay, she quickly said bye but then turned around and put me in an uncomfortable situation by asking how I was feeling in front 3 of her other clients at the reception. It felt awkward to honestly answer and express how uncomfortable I was. I thought acupuncture would become a regular part of my wellness routine but my experience with Grace has left a bad taste for this practice read more

Not great "bedside manner" from the practitioner or the counter receptionist. I went in for a "free" consultation for some help with dealing with arthritis but wasn't given any suggestions/recommendations for care. Ended up being charged $150 for a full session. Also, there was very little communication about what the session was going to entail or just any information about acupuncture and the procedure at all. I had also emailed the receptionist to ask to move my appointment and she only returned my email 2 days AFTER my appointment (which, naturally, was of no help). I also literally left the office with a needle in my leg, which I pulled out myself and returned to the front desk. read more

Came in today last minute for cupping and it did wonders for my neck and upper body. Very knowledgeable. Would recommend!

Grace is an amazing healer. She helped me recover from a debilitating accident and to walk without pain again. She helped my wife through her pregnancy. I was shocked how much she knew about what was going on with my health I literally had two sessions and I haven't had to go back yet and I am still doing amazing months after seeing her. I definitely recommend booking with Grace god she's so amazing! I was very skeptical about the process all I can say is trust the process listen to what this woman tells you she knows her stuff she is unbelievable and so was the experience. She helped me through a very difficult time when I reached a heavy burn out in my career and I was working way too much she pulled me right out of it unbelievable! read more

pros... Grace Leung is a gem, she is totally awesome as a person and as an acupuncturist of course. I will preface this by saying she is my acupuncturist when i go to NYC! I know, remember i'm an acupuncturist too. she was also a classmate, so take this with a grain of salt, but honestly she is an outstanding practitioner. i highly recommend this place, it is just the perfect setting and she gives superb treatments. as with any good acupuncture session, it needs to be custom fit for the patient, and that is what happens here. Grace will listen, then take your pulse and look at your tongue, as she asks you some questions, then she figures out the perfect treatment for you at the time. Grace is a gentle needler and has a gift for making people feel comfortable and at ease. her clinic also does a great job at making you feel safe and secure. the warm and comfy table along with the excellent treatment will make you fall asleep, leaving you energized and happy when you wake up. cons...i wish she was here in san diego. miss you Grace! read more

I almost cried when my session finished. I walked in with a lot of pain, but I was relieved that after one session the pain was lifted. However, this is not the first time I have gotten acupuncture here. Several years ago, I went for several visits after a motorcycle accident with excellent results. I highly recommend Cobble Hill Acupuncture; you will love the clean space, and the calming vibe, and the expert care you will recieve from Dr. Grace Leung. read more

I have had acupuncture all up and down Brooklyn in my post accident recovery quest. This place is tranquil and conducive to healing. Grace is a beautiful human being. She understands pain and has empathy. She is engaging and takes an interest in her patients. And she is, without exception, the most highly trained, proficient and knowledgeable acupuncturist I have ever experienced. The only problem, I moved into NYC and cannot schlep into Brooklyn for these sessions any longer. Wish I could scoop her up and keep her in my apartment. She will be missed. Off to find a new healer... read more

Dr. Leung has the qualities you want in a health-care practitioner: no matter how busy she is, she really listens to what is going on with your health; she is skilled, thoughtful, direct, forthright, and generous; and she is terrifically competent without being the least bit arrogant. I trust her absolutely. read more

Highly recommend this place. Grace is a very caring acupuncturist and will go out of her way to help you. I just wish I could take her back to LA with me! This place takes insurance and has a lot of traditional Eastern services like cupping. read more

I can affirm that Grace resolved two of my health issues. She prepared for me a mixture of traditional herbs that improved the function of my spleen and removed dampness. As a side effect, I lost interest in sweet or fatty food and consequently lost 25 pounds. In the past, I have always been cold, mostly in my limbs, and Grace prescribed me herbs that eliminated this problem. Now I feel healthier than ever in my adult life. I have full confidence that Grace knows very well what she is doing. I am also convinced that it makes sense to me to listen to and apply traditional health preservation methods, rather than trying to eliminate sickness when it might be too late. In addition to be very knowledgeable and experienced, Grace is also a very nice and approachable person that truly cares about her patients' well-being. Her charges are very reasonable. Check the list of available therepautic services on https://www.cobblehillacupuncture.com/services. I have not received acupuncture treatment from Grace but met several very satisfied patients who return to her office frequently. I also know that Grace is a type of medical professional who never stops learning. She always researches new methods, consults with other practitioners, and takes specialized post-graduate classes. I highly recommend the Cobble Hill Acupuncture practice. read more

Wish I was in New York right now to continue treatment with Grace. She's an amazing acupuncturist who's incredibly knowledgeable. I looked forward to my appointments with her every week. I could rely on her for quality care. She'd always listen an address my issues. read more

I went here with neck pain, severe headaches and stiffness two months after a fall that resulted in whiplash, two fractures and two herniated discs in my C4 and C5. I did not need surgery but the damage was extensive. I had been through pain management and physical therapy and although I was definitely getting better, I felt the progress was not amazing. My spine doctor did assure me that my injury was one in which one day I would wake up and just be pain free, similar to a rib fracture. I didn't believe him, but just two days after visiting Grace, it happened!! Grace is super nice and listens to your full medical history and concerns very attentively. I called for an appointment and she was able to schedule me that same day which was great because I had to call out from work that day from the pain and my availability on other days was limited. The session was at least an hour and I lost count of all the needles she stuck in me, literally in every area of my body front and back. For those of you new to acupuncture, it does not hurt. You might feel a nerve twinge when the practitioner twists them a little deeper into the tissue but it really isn't bad at all. She then wrapped me in a space blanket and roasted me under a heat lamp. It felt amazing and I dozed off on both sides. That night, my ears turned bright red and were on fire! I asked an acupuncture practitioner friend of mine and he said that sometimes happen when the liver is stimulated. I don't know. The next day my ears were fine and I was pain free, with just a little stiffness. Each day from there it got better and better. When I had physical therapy four days later, lo and behold, my range of motion had improved so much, my PT was so amazed! She told me I might be a graduate soon, and I saw her only twice after that day before the end of our sessions. Grace did say that I would benefit the most from once to twice a week sessions, but my insurance does not cover it and at $100 per session, there's no way I was going to do that. I am so thankful that I was able to get such positive results from only one visit! I might return for another session to address an SI joint problem in the future. read more

Grace is amazing, I have been visiting Cobble Hill Acupunture for the last year for various issues and leave feeling centered and balanced. I always notice a positive difference the day after for what ever reason I may need to visit. Grace is spot on in focusing on the required area to fix the issue. Grace is very knowledgable on the body and what maybe the problem. I have heard horror stories from friends about Acupunture hurting but Grace is very gentle and quick. I can't recommend Grace highly enough! read more

Grace has really transformed my health in ways that I've never experienced from other healthcare practitioners. I suffered from digestive issues and daily panic attacks. Grace took more time than my primary care physician to understand the root of my health obstacles, and over a month later, I feel like myself again. I travel from west Harlem all the way to Brooklyn because I know Grace is the real deal, and I'll continue to recommend everyone I know to her practice. read more

Amazing ! Just came out there feeling new ! I came in with a back spasm and she gave me acupuncture and cupping. Im glad to say it was worth the $. I was very skeptical and now I'm a believer. My name is Urszula and I'd like to share my story. Last January 2020 my family got infected with some vicious virus. We are not sure but it could be COVID-19 since it was too early to test it but the symptoms were similar. We all exhibited a lack of energy, suffered nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, my daughter had an astronomical fever for days, my husband lost his sense of smell, I had a bad cough, shortness of breath, and serious difficulties with breathing for a prolonged period of time. It really was horrible and I didn't know what to do, so I decided to visit a pulmonologist, got an x-ray, and went through numbers of testing, received steroids and an inhaler. Did it work? Not really. But guess what? Ms. Grace Leung, an expert acupuncturist and herbalist, came to the rescue. She used her knowledge, years of experience, and mindful hands, diagnosed us, individualized our needs, mixed different herbal formulas, and suggested an appropriate diet. At this point, we decided to try Eastern treatment, also known as traditional Chinese medicine. It couldn't possibly hurt more than steroids, antibiotics, fever reducers, or painkillers. Long story short - after we received the herbal formulas from Ms. Leung, we started taking them as prescribed, applied dietary suggestions and our condition began to improve. It was unbelievable that simple herbs could make such a difference in a relatively short period of time. Few months have passed, we feel healthier than ever before, stay strong and ready to face the second wave of COVID-19. By this statement, we want to thank Ms. Leung for her enormous help. She gave us not only the herbal formulas but a diet and lifestyle advice. We, as a family feel most fortunate to be treated by Ms. Leung. Her expertise and work in the oriental method were exactly what was needed. We are grateful for her attention and recommendations. - Urszula, New York read more

I have been to several acupuncturists over the years and Grace is as good as it gets! I had been in severe emotional distress and on one particularly bad day I decided acupuncture could help. I read the reviews on Yelp, called Grace, and she got me in that afternoon. She was easy to talk to and very comforting. Simply by holding my wrist, she was able to tell my asthma had been bad, as well as other health issues I was having. I could feel my energy shift with each needle she put in, and after just one session my asthma was COMPLETELY gone. I walked out feeling a million times better, and the herbs she sent me home with were great (and I'm always skeptical about herbal supplements). I've continued going to her and the difference between weeks that I don't go and weeks that I do is astounding. Her place is nothing fancy, but it is cozy, peaceful, and definitely has a home-y feel to it. She has almost always been able to get me in the same day I call, and accommodates my work schedule with evening and weekend appointments. Most importantly, she is the real deal and probably one of the best acupuncturists in NYC. She is genuinely concerned about her patients and dedicated to healing them. read more

Grace is my favorite! She is well-above any other acupuncturist I have been to in NYC- she truly understands TCM not just in theory but in practice. Dishonest and dubious insurance practices. I'd be sure to check all your invoices and bills. While the services seemed fine, they didn't check the insurance before letting me book 3 appts. When I expressed concern she said it would be fine. Over $300 later, it's not fine. read more

Grace is WONDERFUL!!! She has immensely helped me with all my tension issues and we have been working together on keeping me healthier and happier for the last couple of months. Grace is a miracle worker. I cannot possibly recommend her any higher. I broke my leg and (slightly) separated my ankle from join in September in a nasty fall. Worst injury I've ever had. I went to Grace about two weeks after being taken from a hard cast to a walking boot to help with soreness and stimulate healing. After my first two sessions, I felt a little change in my energy and mobility. Once the walking boot came off and I was (and am) in a small lace up ankle brace, the real pain started. I had muscle aching and soreness so severe for the first week and a half that I was almost in tears and would hold my breath when walking. Just agonizing pain. From the bottom of my feet to my hip from the reuse of atrophied muscles and unused joints. And New York isn't a city where you can just sit patiently and heal. I also have a large dog and a fairly active lifestyle that I was ready to get back into sans cast/boot so the pain was just not okay! I went to Grace and described the pain and she worked her magic. My pain, within a day and since last Thursday, went from a 10 to a 0 after one session. There's no stiffness or soreness. No pain from the bruising. No pain within the ankle. My muscles have been more useable and comfortable. The joints feel less rusty. And I've been on my feet quite a bit! She's basically pushed my healing process forward so quickly and my orthopedist said physical therapy wasn't necessary because my mobility is improving well. I can't express how grateful I am to her. This was one of the toughest things I've ever gone through (not to mention painful and inconvenient) and Grace has helped me so much all around!!! read more

Acupuncturist Grace Leung is as good as her reviews suggest. She has completely eliminated a very painful carpal tunnel conditions that I had had for years. Grace is fantastic! This was my first experience with acupuncture, but now I am a firm believer. I was having skin ailments and going to treatments and taking Chinese herbs to get my body back in balance. Her treatments have done wonders for me. I don't know if I really want to share my secret acupuncturist with the neighborhood. But I'm doing it for Grace, because she is amazing. I've seen her for 3 weeks so far, and I feel different, more energy and more relaxed. I'm going for something particular which I think will take time to heal. But I'm more positive that she can heal me than anyone else I have tried. I have seen many acupuncturists, in Manhattan and around the neighborhood. She is honest, clear, explains things and takes her time. Sessions usually last 1 hour 15 or 1 hour 30. You never feel rushed, I have loved every session. I always dose off and that is tough for me to do. She doesn't only treat what you think is wrong, she treats the whole body in order for there to balance. A lot of my issues stem from other things,so things take time to heal, but I feel like she is found the root of the problem and and now it is just a matter of time. The place is nothing special, but I hate going to these "spa" acupuncture places and feeling nothing when I leave. She knows what she is doing. read more
