I don't know what was…read moregoing through my head but we arrived an hour early (I had even written down the correct time in my calendar). the woman who checked us in told me that it would probably be at least 45 minutes, but they had a play room and we were welcome to stay. since I had a few errands to run, we did those and then headed back and went straight into the playroom. it didn't hurt that my little guy's favorite movie (Toy Story 3) was playing. about 10 minutes later, the hygienist came to get us. my little guy loved laying back in the chair and brushing the stuffed fish's teeth. he was very cooperative, but while we were waiting for the dentist, he was starting to get antsy. she arrived moments later and had a padded board so he could lay across our knees so she could look at his teeth. she was great with him and he even let her put a polish over his teeth without being too squirmy. she gave me a lot of great advice about when to give him juice and milk and reassured me that the binky he uses to sleep isn't messing up his teeth. she also showed me the best way to brush his teeth. my little guy even had the honor of being the best patient of the morning and for that he was able to grab and extra toy out of the toy box. I only hope all of his dentist experiences are this painless.

I hate leaving a one star review when we had a good first experience with them, but I'm beyond…read morefrustrated with what's going on with our latest experience. One of my kids had four cavities that needed to be taken care of. I signed two estimates - one for the 'best case' scenario of one crown and three fillings, and one for 'worst case' scenario of four crowns. She made it very clear it was either/or. We scheduled the appointment, and my husband took her to her procedure. He was told that if anything came up or they needed to do anything additional, they would come out and let him know. He didn't hear from the dentist at all during the procedure. At the end of the procedure, all he was told was that it went well and they needed to do less than they originally planned. When I came home to see her, she had 8 crowns in her mouth with absolutely no explanation from anybody. I was sent a text with my balance - double what I had signed as an estimate . I asked them for an itemized bill on June 3. I also called and requested any documentation my husband signed while at the appointment. They took my email, and by June 4, I asked again and they told me they were getting information from their billers. They asked me if it would be okay if we waited until insurance made a payment on the appointment to deliver the information. I told them, no, that I wanted copies of the two estimates I signed, the docs my husband signed, and her notes and X-rays from her previous appointment and this one now. I never received a response. On June 9, I messaged again to follow up. On June 10, they told me they sent the information to the office manager who "should be contacting you soon." As of evening on June 11, I still haven't heard anything. I'm really upset that it came to a bad Google review but beside driving up to make a racket, which is my next step, I don't know what else to do about getting our records.

Changing her prescribed dental procedure, and announcing "We're going to do partial, rather than a crown!" indicated she does not have a clear vision of "best practices". At one point, while preparing a tooth for a crown, I experienced a tangible SHOCK emitting from my tooth and down into my leg. OBVIOUSLY striking a nerve in the tooth, she proclaimed that the tooth was absent a nerve - she proclaimed that the tooth had undergone a root canal. After POKING THE NERVE AGAIN, and my visceral reaction, she wisely (???) determined I needed to see an endodontist. I am GRATEFUL to have found a more compassionate and competent dentist than Dr. Nikki Christian. They ARE OUT THERE! #btw her practice encourages patients to post POSITIVE reviews on Google and rewards patients monetarily. Not very ethical in my estimation.
