A year later, I finally decided to try a new dentist to make sure her teeth were looking good, and discovered Sweet Tooth. I was very anxious about her appointment that she might meltdown like the last attempt, but was very pleasantly surprised. She let them do x-rays at the beginning, and happily followed all of the hygienist's instructions from that point on! They had a TV mounted on the ceiling playing Bluey (genius!) which helped to distract her, and they made her feel comfortable the entire time. It is true that they won't let you stay with the child if the child is being put under anesthesia for dental work, but you are there before they fall asleep and back in there before they wake up. In addition, they are being monitored the entire by an anesthesiologist. I know a lot of people don't like this, but you wouldn't expect to be in the operating room with the surgeon, and that's a similar situation.

took my 23-month-old little guy for his first dentist appt here last week. I don't know what was…read moregoing through my head but we arrived an hour early (I had even written down the correct time in my calendar). the woman who checked us in told me that it would probably be at least 45 minutes, but they had a play room and we were welcome to stay. since I had a few errands to run, we did those and then headed back and went straight into the playroom. it didn't hurt that my little guy's favorite movie (Toy Story 3) was playing. about 10 minutes later, the hygienist came to get us. my little guy loved laying back in the chair and brushing the stuffed fish's teeth. he was very cooperative, but while we were waiting for the dentist, he was starting to get antsy. she arrived moments later and had a padded board so he could lay across our knees so she could look at his teeth. she was great with him and he even let her put a polish over his teeth without being too squirmy. she gave me a lot of great advice about when to give him juice and milk and reassured me that the binky he uses to sleep isn't messing up his teeth. she also showed me the best way to brush his teeth. my little guy even had the honor of being the best patient of the morning and for that he was able to grab and extra toy out of the toy box. I only hope all of his dentist experiences are this painless.

Calling the morning before Thanksgiving and not being regular patients I was a bit concerned but they told us to get there as quickly as we could and they would see us. They obviously had a full schedule of patients that day but saw us and Dr. Hemberger did an amazing job working with our 2yr old and re-implanting his tooth and then saw us again a week later for a follow-up. Should we ever end up living in the area we would definitely take our kids there for their regular dental check-ups.

I was getting a filling and she had a drill in her hand and made a cut under my tongue and completely dismissed it with no apology. I was bleeding and sore for days. Second, I had to go back in (take off more work) because she didn't file my tooth down correctly so my bite was uneven for days. Third, she didn't fill in my filling all the way so now there is a discolored hole on my tooth. It is extremely hard to floss where there was a filling done. The dentist is extremely anxiety inducing for me and this experience was horrible. I have had months to sit on this experience and I still feel the same exact way as when it first happened.
