They have an ever-changing array of newly groomed dogs underfoot in the front area where they work; they keep them and their own dogs around for companionship while they are working and, miraculously, all the animals get along. Each of the animals look movie-star perfect when they're done, the haircuts are adorable. When I first moved to Chico my older black cat was dealing with a skin condition that made her lose her fur in chunks (now finally, after five years, healed.) They treated this beat up looking sweetheart with all the care and regard of the beautiful healthy animals and it meant a great deal to our family to see her being cherished. But what I want to share most is that during the Camp Fire, All Cats and Dogs have taken in pets of fire evacuees and groomed them for free. Owner Alex says "In many cases, the fire evacuees left with only their pets and lost everything. I figure that giving them back a clean fluffy dog to hold is the least I can do."

Last year I adopted a new dog and I was told he would always soil himself at the groomers because he was so afraid. I took him to Stephanie and he had no problem. She gave him lots of love and he was a happy dog. I highly recommend Stephanie. Her prices are in line with other groomers and she truly cares for the dogs while they're with her.

Right as we were arriving my dog caught his nail in the seat of my car and tore it to the quick. He was bleeding and was really freaked out. She said to come back later when the shipment arrived and that she would give me a discount on live hopper mice. I called later that day before making the drive down and they told me that no live hopper mice were in the shipment. So I've driven down there twice and wasted my time and gas all because they said they had live mice for me to pick up only for them to not. The lack of communication and honesty is very poor. I will only get mice from them now if I absolutely have to. It's very frustrating to tell someone over the phone that what they're looking for is available only for it to not be when going in the store.

This guy is honestly the craziest business owner I've ever seen. Don't disagree with him because he will go off on you and then humiliate you and belittle you. If you say anything about his customer service or tone or write a review concerning the way he's treated you he will tell you to never come back lol! There are WAY to many groomers in this town to think you're a hot shot. Please relax with your power trip thinking because you paint your business fancier than pet smart that you're allowed to be an asshole. Thanks for letting me find someone cheaper who won't treat me or my dog like shit! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! & FYI I own a big business and people are allowed to have opinions... I wrote a review before saying how wonderful it is and I stand by it. Yelp won't show it because it is censored for being "too positive". And yet, they post one start ratings by people who don't go there regularly and have no idea of who the owner actually is. Doing this misrepresents the truth of this place. This place is THE BEST! We have been in Chico a year now and won't take our dogs anywhere else. They take care of us. If you need grooming for your pet, there is no better place to go. If Yelp doesn't post this review, I won't trust this site anymore. read more

The quality of grooming, cleanliness of the shop and friendliness of the staff is hard to beat! I may have been one of the main faces you would see during your pets pampering but I have to say that in my recent visits to the shop I have been completely impressed with the quality of grooming that James has been putting out. (He did learn from the best haha!) The new decor makes the space very inviting and gives a new artistic energy to the shop. I would highly recommend Coature Pet Spa to anyone looking for grooming in Chico! read more

Great experience at Coature Pet Spa. We are visiting Chico from Santa Cruz where the weather is mostly cool. Our pug doesn't do well in the hot Chico weather. Today I called Coature to get a short clip for Lenny. The owner fit him in right away and he got an excellent clip as well as a nail clip, bath, and even ear cleaning.
