When we walked into our tour at Sunrise, it just felt right. I truly can't say enough good things about this daycare. From day one, the whole team was caring and genuine. My daughter is usually shy around new people, but she transitioned to Laura and the other caretakers without any issues. Zero tears were shed during the first few drop-offs, which shocked us and tbh got me a little butthurt lol I truly appreciate the team's flexibility and tailoring things to our family's specific needs (e.g. naps). My LO attended Sunrise from 9 months until she was almost 2. And 'til this day, we still think about / talk about the food at Sunrise. My LO is the pickiest eater at home, but she always ate well at Sunrise. Picture nutritious, comforting, home-cooked meals cooked by your mom/auntie/grandma--that's what's served every day. I can not tell you how happy I am that I found this place! The teachers at this center are FANTASTIC! They are incredibly involved and are very easy to talk to and they truly love the kids. They have an incredible play area outside the kids love and the center is very clean. The kids love it! The director of the center is very responsive and has been really easy to work with. I have been really happy with the center and my little boy is so happy every time I pick him up. I can not say enough nice things about this place or the people that work here. Yes, you will pay a bit more for child care at a center than a home day care...but the extra price has been worth it.

But, after trying home care, I needed something more stable. I was very hesitant, and was critical the entire time. But, I tried it and I am very glad I did. The people there are fantastic - warm, fun, nice and LOVE kids. Heck, a few even came to my sons birthday party one weekend. That is how much they love their kids. I felt like I can talk to them, have them listen and we can have an active and engaging conversation about my child. They will do whatever I ask and they are totally approachable. I do have to say, there was a period of time a few years ago when the center went through some employee turnover but since that ended, the center seems to have been doing great. If you are looking for a center for you infant, toddler or preschooler, I can't recommend this center enough.

We looked at multiple facilities, but felt right at home when we toured Super Munckins Academy. The teachers Michael, Romaria, and Liliane are all very kind and caring. I have seen them treat all the children as if they are family. My son has always been excited at drop off, relieving a lot of anxiety when we first started daycare and every day after. I always know that he is in good hands and am never stressed or worried during the day. Every time we pick him up he is smiling ear to ear. They provide frequent status updates and photos throughout the day which is much appreciated. They also utilize baby sign language as well which really helped foster our son's communication skills. In addition to this they taught my son to say please/thank you before 18 months which, I will tell you, is the cutest thing ever. They do daily teaching activities and go to the park as well. They get a lot of outdoor play as well which my son loves. They are able to accommodate special requests as well (ie early nap time if needed based on appointments). Both my husband and I work 8-5 most days so we were worried about finding a place that could accommodate our work hours. Michael worked with our schedule and was able to plan early drop off/pick up for us which was much appreciated! They even are able to provide weekend care with advanced notice if one of the teachers are available.

Special kudos for introducing different languages- they speak Spanish and Portuguese and this place is well diverse. The teachers are all very caring and attentive to her needs and have been instrumental in her preparation for kindergarten. Each day (weather permitting) the kids have outdoor play and they visit different neighborhood parks, visit the library, and seasonal parks. One of the many perks is that they utilize the Bright Wheel App where they post many pictures and short videos throughout the day, so parents can see how their children are up too:) The location is ideal too as the home is next to SMPD, library, various shops and minute away from Foster City, 101/92 freeways. It's such a great blend of structured time and play, and he also has built-in friends to play with in the afternoon between school and coming home. The staff is wonderful, and always have fun things planned, plus they help him with his homework every day when he needs it. I feel good about him being there and know that he is safe and cared for in a stimulating and fun environment. He just loves it, which is half the battle!
