Our son attended Learning Links for almost a year, and we had a wonderful experience. He absolutely loved his teachers and classmates and was genuinely excited to go to school each day. The teachers were caring and attentive, the facilities were great, and the school offered a strong variety of programs and activities. Communication was excellent, and we especially appreciated receiving lots of photos throughout the day. He always looked like he was having a blast with his friends. We're only leaving because we're moving both of our children to a school that also has an infant program. Otherwise, we would have been very happy to keep him at Learning Links. My older son attended learning links from ages 3-5 until he started at Kindergarten recently, and my 2 year old just started there as well. We absolutely love learning links and recommend it to anyone looking for a place that their kids could call a second home. All the teachers go above and beyond to care for your little one. They do a mix of structured time with daily circle time and activities with a lot of outdoor play time. Every day we get a detailed report of what our son did via an app update from the teachers. My son was more than ready for kinder and can already read simple books. He loved his time at school and so does our little one. We've had such a wonderful experience at Learning Links--it's truly become a second home for our daughter, Ava. We started in 2022 at Farm class (2-3yrs old) and want to give a heartfelt shoutout to teachers, Maria, Meslie and her current Arctic class teachers, Leticia, Charlene and Marjorie. Also to Grace - the centre director for always welcoming us with a bright smile and handling all the events and intricacies of the school. These incredible teachers have shown such genuine warmth, care, and dedication to Ava and her classmates. It is a clean, safe and well maintained daycare. Check in and check out is seamless and we get frequent updates through their app system. Toys for each classroom are updated once in a while and they have enrichment program options like movement or dance. They are also very receptive to feedback and avenues to support your child. A bonus for working parents is that they aren't closed for long school breaks so you don't have to worry about scheduling summer camps. They also have a part time schedule for flexibility and provide 2 snacks in the morning and after nap. We highly recommend LL to any family looking for a place where your child will be truly cared for--not just looked after. The teachers go above and beyond--not just in helping the kids grow, but in creating such a nurturing, joyful atmosphere. We can't say enough good things about our experience at Learning Links, Burlingame! Our son has been attending for the past 1.5 years, and from the very first day, it was clear this school was something special. The teachers and staff created such a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment, not just for our son, but for our entire family. A Truly Exceptional Daycare Experience Our daughter has been a cherished part of Learning Links - Burlingame since she was two years old, and our family couldn't be happier with the incredible care and nurturing environment she's received. Even though our daughter never had Teacher Guillermo as her primary teacher, she absolutely adored his cute and silly drawings, especially his Nintendo character creations like Kirby, which always brought a smile to her face. The center itself is remarkably well-organized and thoughtfully designed. We particularly appreciate the separate, outdoor play area for the two-year-olds, which provides a safe and engaging space tailored to their needs, distinct from the older larger children's area. The addition of a sensory room is also a brilliant feature, offering a fantastic indoor alternative for active play on rainy days. Logistically, the daycare runs very smoothly. They do require children to be potty trained, and parents are responsible for packing lunch and bringing a water bottle daily, which are clear and manageable expectations. They have an online system that they will frequently use to communicate and share updates with parents. I did find that the app did have some issues from time to time but overall daily summaries with photos and sharing of planned curriculum was more than sufficient. They also had parent-teacher conferences which helped give us insight and piece of mind as well as more urgent conversations to discuss background for any incidents or notable changes. Overall, we wholeheartedly recommend Learning Links to any family seeking a nurturing, organized, and truly loving environment for their child. Our son joined Farm class in October of 2024 after a terrible experience with a previous daycare. We toured Farm class and felt SUCH a warm welcome from the teaching staff! We communicated our issues with the previous daycare and how anxious we felt about enrolling our son in a new daycare. Teacher Meslei and teacher Maria shared all the lengths they go to welcome new children and families and shared that parent communication is so important to them. After touring 6 other daycares, we knew learning links was the one for our son. Our son is on the spectrum, and does have more needs than a neurotypical child. We deeply admired the inclusiveness of the daycare. Farm teachers and Teacher Nayla have done such a beautiful job with accommodating to our son and just being warm and loving teachers. We get daily reports which indicate how much our son has eaten, how many minutes were slept, class schedule and activities, and about 5 pictures everyday which I love looking at while I am at work. Every couple months, they also hold parent teacher conferences where they go in depth about your child's progress. All meetings have felt strength-based. The daycare is always clean, organized, secure. They do take safety measures by only giving parents access to the entrance of the facility which I think any parent can appreciate. I would also like to add the daycare is amazing with collaborating with therapists and interventionists working with your child. This has been huge for us! Farm class teachers also collaborate with parents to help potty train children. Every morning, our son is greeted with smiles and hugs from his teachers. Every day there is a strong and engaging curriculum for the children to explore, and we feel like the teachers are very engaged. My son has had his ups and downs there, but learning links has been accommodating and worked through periods of readjustment (like returning after an extended summer break). My two kids attended Learning links, we absolutely love it. My older one spent two and a half years there from 2.5-5 years old. Teacher Nayla, Charlene and Guillermo are wonderful teachers who truly care about the kids and encourage them to be themselves. My younger one spent a year in the Farm classroom since she was 2 with Teacher Meslei and Maria. They took such a good care with young kids, helping them on daily routines while teaching them to be independent, sent detailed updates everyday and weekly emails. I'm mostly impressed on how the teachers noticed and remembered the details about the kids on their behaviors and development and provide timely feedback to the parents. Highly recommend! read more

I have not written more than 1-2 reviews on Yelp in my life, but I feel the need to give parents that may be considering them a shout out. My daughter has been going there since she was 2 years old and we will be keeping here there until she ages out and we have to move her to Wilkinson School on the Coastside. My wife and I looked at all the local options on the Coastside from Half Moon Bay to Pacifica, with focus on what is the best possible school for our daughter, no matter the cost or distance of travel for us. I also have two grown children that went to Pacifica Schools and then on to Serra and Notre Dame private high schools. After a lot of research and going to the schools and meeting the teams, we decided that it was best for us to commute 30 minutes each way from Montara each day, a drive of 15 miles so longer than what most parents likely do for preschool. One of us drops her off and then hang around the area and do errands or work remotely from Neal's Diner very close by. We have been extremely pleased with the school, the staff, the facilities, communications, quality of education, good Burlingame weather for playing outside and really everything else. I will note that the school is inclusive for children that have challenges, allow outside therapies in the classroom, facilitate pull out and push in therapists and while other parents may not be aware of this, the children do NOT have to be potty trained and the classroom staff handle anything like that cheerfully. I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

*READ BEFORE ENROLLING* Learning Links administration is awful and has poor communication. My experience there was terrible and it is clear that the center prioritizes enrollment numbers over child safety. * My daughter was injured in class after a child threw a chair at her head, this child needed more support which was echoed by the teachers and administration HOWEVER nothing was done - their solution was to take an EXISTING teacher in that classroom and have them do 1:1 supervision. This obviously takes away from the safety and care of the others ~17 children and is not sustainable, because just 3 weeks later the same child hit my daughter on the head. * Throughout my experience, the administration does a great job at listening and... that's it! No communication on support plan, escalation or anything was shared. * My daughter adored all of her teachers, they are nurturing and amazing, but the frustration amongst staff with the administration is obvious and as a result, turnover is high. The administration (center director and regional director) fail to do their job, unfortunately this comes at the cost of our children. read more

We absolutely adore Learning Links Preschool in Burlingame! From the moment we started visiting, our son was immediately drawn in by the warm and friendly staff and the inviting spaces and overall engaging atmosphere. One thing we as parents love about Learning Links is the way they encourage creativity and learning. Our son is always coming home with artwork that he's created during class. We've been amazed at the level of creativity and imagination that he's developed while attending. The other key part for us as parents is his learning and development. Every couple weeks it's almost like he is a new child who is speaking and talking in ways that make us both smile with amazement. Hi speech, putting sentences together, recognition of numbers, colors, counting, etc has been so fun to see grow and develop. The final part that we have really appreciated is the way the teachers and staff have made an effort to keep us informed about our son's progress and activities, so we always feel like we're a part of the Learning Links family. We constantly receive updates and pictures of the weeks activities, so we can follow along. He has made so many friends during his time here, and enjoys going to school each day to play and learn with his classmates. Overall, we would highly recommend Learning Links Preschool to anyone looking for a fun, and stimulating environment for their child. This review is for whoever is looking forward to sending their kiddos to an expensive, luxury private preschool. If you don't care about the money you pay, the service or the education for your kiddos are going to receive, please ignore my review! I was paying tuition fee $1995.00 (full time) monthly for my daughter. She has been going to this preschool for little bit over a year. Be honest, most of the teachers there are warm. If you really want me to rate them, I would give them score 7(1-10). Because they are basically doing their job. But they don't do it well constantly. For example, no front door coverage during the morning when a few parents dropping off the kiddos; the bin/basket where for kiddos to place the water bottles is so wet and dirty but no one clean it ; staffs issue sometimes and teacher did not wear mask to work when she having a cold/flu!!! etc ..... So here is the crazy things: 1) the tuition fee keeps increasing every year. I was paying $1800 per month then increased to $1995 for full time. Next year, it will be more than $2000!!That's the only base tuition fee. They try to up sell all kinds of different classes for kiddos if they are interested. For example, $700 for a social skill building class?!?! It means kiddos aren't able to learn any social skill during their daily activities?! 2) the principal of this school, Mandy is horrible! Every time I really had to give some feedback or complaints via emails or calls, it is so difficult to hear back from her. It means she doesn't even care about it except making money/profit from the tuition. Why do I say this? Let me share my most terrible experience with you. During this tough period of time, Covid19 pandemic, all schools have been closed since shelter in place. It means my daughter only attended school for a week only on March! And no prorate or credit was offered in this situation. $1995.00 dollars for a week?!?! It is so ridiculous, isn't it! The reason why the principal not to refund or prorate the tuition was the teachers have to get paid!!! Wow really?! Who doesn't want to get paid during this tough period time? So all the parents are suffering but supporting you to get paid correct?! Fine! No credit no prorate for March. How about April, this month! They want us to pay $500 even though school still remains closed and has no idea when it will be open. The reason for asking us to pay is because the teachers have to get paid. Again! What they do every day is offering 30 minutes FaceTime or showing us how to play songs or stories on YouTube. Come on, who doesn't know how to FaceTime each other or play songs from YouTube lol we don't have to pay for that when we stay home!!! So, off course, I decide to have my daughter no longer go to this preschool. I truly learned my lesson as well. Around peninsula area, I just realized all preschools are so competitive right now and I'm so confident to find a better school for my daughter soon. FYI, the monthly tuition for preschools at this area is around $1400 to $1600 the most( for full time). Learning Links is a non profit organization?! But just their teachers are Too Expensive!!!!!! This update is really more of a detailed summary of my less than stellar experience with Learning Links. I picked learning links because they were close to my house and we didn't have the luxury of touring other facilities during the pandemic. We also read they offer support to children with special needs. When our 3 year old son started at Learning Links he was coming along very well with his potty training. He was very comfortable going at home or in the park/store/etc as long as we had his fold out green frog potty (a simple round piece of plastic that had a frog face)-- Learning Links refused to let him use that potty in the school. He would not use their potty without the seat and as a result would have daily accidents. They never really gave us a reason just that it was not part of their policy. We asked over and over again in person and via email for at least 2 months-- it was so difficult to get any answer out of their team. Everyone seemed like they wanted to pass off the "hard" questions to someone else. Their easy solution in the end was to put him in a diaper after we dropped him off and then put his underwear back on when we picked him up. They set us back by months when it came to his training (his new school had no issue with him using the green potty and he goes several times a day at school now) Our son had some behavior issues and was being diagnosed for ASD while he was attending Learning Links. Learning links would have zoom meetings with us, pushing us to get him an ASD aid despite our son not qualifying for it (level 1 ASD) and before we even had our final diagnosis. (plus during the pandemic they were hard to come by) - they finally told us if we did not get him a ASD aid he would have to leave. They said the aid would have to be there for 6 hours a day, even while he slept (not easy to get someone for that many hours a day)- We told the school we were still working on it but would leave if we could not get any assistance for him. Their center director agreed via an email to await our update -- however a week later when we secured an ASD aid, they told us "too late "they had given our spot away. They blamed it on bad email communications on "both our parts" but the email was clear- we were searching and they would wait for our update. Their untrained and insensitive center director didn't read the email carefully or maybe she just was anxious to remove our son and told the office to give our spot to someone else. Overall the staff was very unprofessional and clearly not trained in how to communicate effectively. Their policy stated that there would be timely meetings and warnings if someone is going to be excluded. I point blank emailed their staff (earlier on in the year) and said "if my son does not get an aid are you kicking him out" and I got no response. Instead they would give us positive daily updates -- telling us he had a great day and he was interacting more with other kids. Upon his exclusion, I asked why they kept giving me positive feedback if they really felt he was not improving and their center director told me that they try to give positive feedback to the parents when possible. None of this made sense, it was just confusing to us (parents). Conflicting feedback on a regular basis continued. Unrelated to our son---during the month of January right after their two week break when covid was in full force we were told that all the kids and teachers had to take a test to return. They told us we could bring in our kids THREE HOURS late to ensure teachers had time to take their covid tests. I brought my son over at noon and was a bit surprised to see a group of teachers returning from an outside "lunch". The next day we got feedback that one of the teachers tested positive (not saying that their lunch outing caused it or that the teacher was part of that group- but I just found it to be extremely insensitive that parents were giving up half a workday to bring in our kids three hours later so they could take a covid test, which we all know only takes 15 minutes, and they are taking a social outside lunch break- during a pandemic no less! After the teacher tested positive, the school had to then be closed for 14 days. When I asked if we could have some credit days I got no email or call response - this 14 day came right after their 2-week Xmas break so ultimately there was a full month of no school. And yes, I get it, state regulations, holidays, closures and all that- Still, end of day, it was a teacher that resulted in the class being shut down for two weeks and we, the parents, all had to pay the price. Massive turnover in their staff, classrooms merged and became bigger. A teacher left and the school sent out a mass email citing a mental health break had been needed. There was an inclusion teacher that left after only one month. In our son's last month at Learning Links he cried every day. He is now at a new school and is doing extremely well. read more

When my current 14 year old went to this school when he was a preschooler, I loved it! I enrolled my current 5 year old for preschool last year, and we didn't even finish off the school year. They've become too progressive and liberal, and have even read books to my pre schooler such as "Boys Can Be Mermaids Too..." They're bad at getting back to you when you call them. Management went downhill over the years and have even become rude. I'm so sad about this bec I use to really love this school. read more

Both of our two boys attended Learning Links (LL) with our oldest also receiving therapy at Ability Path before he was four. We feel so fortunate to have LL teach our children about friendship, emotions, and the world they are growing into. Most importantly LL provided a safe and fun environment for our kids each day. We chose Learning Links Burlingame because we needed a place where our son, could be successful. We actually came to Learning Links in a crisis. My son was not being successful at his previous preschool, and it was stressful for him. It was stressful for us. Luckily, we had known about Learning Links for a while and when we came and we explained what we needed, they were able to start a program that he was able to follow immediately. We saw within a couple of months that the stresses, tensions, and challenges that he had had previously were no longer an issue. We could start to build on his strengths and Learning Links has really helped him grow as a little boy and find a set of skills that now that he can take to kindergarten. read more

My 4.5 years old went to learning links for 5 months before his TK. We moved from the East coast where my son went to Bright Horizons. Oh boy!! Bright Horizons is amazing, in every single thing they do: 1. Sending out Daily Emails. 2. The emails have pictures of the day with kids, highlighting one picture of your child. 2. Details on what they did in English, math and Science(yes they do this even for a 2yr old) 4. It was comparatively cheaper than Learning links. 5. Teachers know what kids talk and do. I can list a lot more good stuff about Bright Horizons. If I have to compare it to learning links, this is a literal junk. Your kids definitely deserve something better. I will give a zero star if I can. This is more like a play school even for a 4.5 years old, not educative. They don't have a curriculum, they don't send out daily emails, the emails come in once a full moon day, with no details, very simple four lined emails. They are money hunters, seriously, for nothing you pay so much. Additionally teachers aren't great. We didn't have a choice and it was just 5 months, I soon realized this is not the school for my son, but was waiting for his TK. We were ready to run happily. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more

Our 3 year old daughter has been at Learning Links for about 6 months and we love it. There is a great student to teacher ratio, the facilities are very modern, safe, and comfortable, and the teachers are awesome. We really like every one of them. Even though our daughter was doing well developmentally when she started, her social and verbal skills have advanced tremendously. At home, she imitates the activities at school. She makes one of us the teacher's helper, has us do circle time, line up to go outside, etc. Lately, she's been quizzing us on letter sounds. She loves it and it's so cool to see the things she's learning there come out in day-to-day life. I actually feel the mix of special needs and non special needs kids is one of the school's biggest assets. She is exposed to a diversity of kids and social situations she probably wouldn't otherwise experience. I think the mixed environment is also one of the reasons why the teachers are so good and so motivated. It's a very positive place. One of the little things I like is that the teachers email weekly agendas to let you know what they're going to be studying. This is really helpful at the end of the day when you ask your kid what they did at school and they say "nothing". You can ask specific questions about their day and get them to engage a little more. The school has also been very good at holding parent feedback sessions and implementing changes as a result. It's rare that I've seen any organization do this kind of continual customer satisfaction improvement as well as they do. I just get the general impression that they work hard and care about what kids and parents think. Communication in general is great and frequent. I feel like the price is reasonable for the quality of experience and it compares favorably with other options. You live in CA. Nothing is free. read more

I thank everyday that my 4 year old daughter has been blessed with a one of a kind preschool like this! It was hard for me to pay the tuition but I every penny is worth it and trust me you are lucky if you get to a preschool like this. My daughter had development delays...(speech delay , bahaviour and social skills delays). The principle Jessica (who left recently) a young and extraordinary lady was one of the best and on top of handling all children's and families' needs with utmost patience and care. The teachers and staff at Learning links make miracles on our children. I have seen the results on my own. You would be amazed how much they would accomplish in a very short time. . The teacher child ratio is something very rare to find , not only that, but the staff are highly educated teachers and they know what they are doing. Teacher Erin and teacher Jen have been the best things that have happened in my and daughter's life.Not only they have helped my daughter to grow socially and more ...they have walked me through all the challenges I had been dealing with my little one.They are so caring and giving with so much love and attention! Imagine they are doing so with every single parent and with every single child! It was sad to say goodbye to them when recently we had to relocate to Los Angeles. Despite the amazing school district location where I am residing,(La Crescenta, CA), I was so disappointed to see the difference in preschools in comparison to Learning links preschool.. You will barely see the staff are highly educated or any special need teacher in any of them and expensive!!.The layouts of the preschools are made of old houses converted to preschools, or they have one open floor plan to layout and group the children according to age with their specific teacher....etc. But however today as a result of learning links , I want to say my daughter is doing great socially , academically and more...she is attending a montessori preschool. Learning Links is a non-profit orgnization. But it actually charges a lot more hidden fee than private day care. The late fee is $5/min, a lot more than usual price. And they used a very hard-to-use sign-in/out system, wasting me 10~20min every day. And it has a lot of restriction making life of parents very hard. read more

I've only had my child in one preschool so it's hard to compare, but I'd actually give Learning Links 4.5 stars instead of 4. Why not 5? It's hard to say it's as good as it gets when there are fancy, expensive pre-schools out there. Maybe the addition of a language immersion track would give it a 5. We looked at about 10 schools and availability is tough. This one wasn't very well known because it's fairly new, but is gaining visibility. We picked it because during our visit it's the one my daughter seemed most drawn to and they have a great student-teacher ratio. We like it because of the number of qualified teachers (some schools have one teacher and one or two junior aides), the new facilities with natural light, the curriculum and play-based developmental philosophy and the community-based feeling. Our daughter has flourished there and loves going to school. Learning Links accepts kids with special needs up to 20% of the class. Some parents might worry that if their child doesn't have special needs he/she might be neglected or under-challenged, but we've found it's just the opposite. Many special needs kids have language issues so there's a focus on verbal communication. Our child's verbal communication skills really took off within the first 6 months. Our daughter has a late birthday so we were planning on waiting to send her to kindergarten, but after 2 years at Learning Links we're re-evaluating that position because she's definitely ready. Looking at other schools for the transition year, we realize she'd be bored. Excellent value for money, great experience. read more

Our daughter has been going here since she was four months old, and we've loved it every single day. The teachers are great, she enjoys playing with her friends, and there's a steady stream of little events going on all the time. I don't have much to compare it to, but it certainly feels like an invaluable experience to me. read more

The Burlingame site's director is non responsive. I sent 2 emails; I received a response to one after almost 2 months and after prompting with a telephone call. I have yet to receive a response to the other email. When I phoned I was advised that the director was busy. I get that the director is busy but there should be the courtesy of a response. How can I entrust my child to this centre when it's director doesn't even have this common courtesy. read more

This is a really great pre-school. My daughter has a slight developmental speech delay and the teachers really know how to care for her. There are top notch teachers in this school and they really care about their students. My daughter went to another pre-school before Learning Links, and there's really a huge difference in terms of teaching and care! read more

We are parents to a boy in the 4/5 year old class. I think Learning Links is a wonderful preschool. I have been highly recommending it. Pros: -- an actual preschool, not daycare oriented -- Best teacher to child ratio that I have seen (especially for 4/5 group) -- Clean and modern design -- Lots and lots of space for kids that need it (like my son) -- Covered playground and variety of stuff outside, including a garden -- Rotating and changing play stations, not just moving around the room, but actual broad range of different things to do every day -- Emphasis on team as well as individual efforts -- Play based, but with emphasis on "kindergarten readiness", my son has a fall birthday, but I am confident that he will be ready -- broad spectrum of credentialed teachers who can help if your child needs help -- diversity, which I find nice for teaching my son about the different kinds of people on the planet (not just filtered for ability or socio economics) -- good value for the price -- lots of parent involvement and contributions -- full week options for older kids -- they work with you (e.g. do not have to be fully potty trained at 3, etc.) Cons: -- though there are some extended care programs, may be tough for working parents' schedules -- does not have the established reputation of other programs read more

Our son has been in the Butterfly classroom for 6 months. His teachers are fantastic and the classroom is large, bright, clean, and well organized. Every day, there are new activities for him to explore, and I love the little extras his teachers do like Friday dance parties with music and a disco ball, and occasional baking. The class sizes are large (about 30 students) but they're broken up into groups and split up throughout the day (i.e. half have outside time while the others are inside, then they switch) and the overall child teacher ratio is one of the lowest around--I believe 1:6. They try to offer some enriching activities like music taught by a Music Together instructor and a soccer class parents can sign up for. We have found them to be quite accommodating with scheduling. Even though my son has no delays, I appreciate the inclusive, warm, caring environment at Learning Links. The outside play area is large, although I do wish it had more greenery (some grass, more trees and vegetation, rather than just concrete). It's nice that the main play structure is shaded. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the high turnover in administration. It seems there is a new director every 6-12 months. However, the one they currently have is quite good and I hope she sticks around. read more

Learning Links and their staff are awesome! Plain and simple - they have extreme knowledge in working with kids of all abilities. My son is an afternoon class where the student teacher ratio is low so he gets the extra help and guidance that he needs - he a speech disorder and is pretty impulsive. All of the teachers are friendly, patient and understanding. We've been going for 4 months and I have seen a big improvement in my son's speech and his socialibility. read more
