5 stars -- a completely different car-buying experience!…read more We had a truly unique experience at Frontier today. From the moment we walked in, everyone was professional, friendly, polite, and refreshingly straightforward. They cut through the typical back-and-forth negotiations and were very upfront and transparent throughout the entire process, including with the Carfax and vehicle history. This was our first time at Frontier, but after talking with other customers who had purchased there multiple times, I can see why people come back. We definitely will too. Woody, our salesman, was fantastic, and Todd, his manager, and Brian, the finance manager, were equally great to work with. The entire team made what can sometimes be a stressful process easy and enjoyable. We can't say enough good things about our experience. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend Frontier to anyone looking for an honest, transparent, no-games car-buying experience. Joan & Geo from Destin

So, we put a lot of trust in Ron to help us pick the right vehicle. We were particularly concerned with whether the car sustained any mechanical damage from the front and fender bender that it was in. He repeatedly reassured us that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the engine and that it was merely bodywork. Hundreds of miles and dollars later, we arrived at frontier motors and within the first few minutes of our test drive found paperwork showing that the car had had the transmission replaced, and that mechanical damage was sustained during the accident. When we confronted Ron about this, he threw a childish tantrum. We talked to the manager, and he was unwilling to admit his wrong or to make it right for tricking us into traveling hundreds of miles for a dud car. These people are scammers even though they pretend that they are good business people. Don't trust them.

When I told the Manager the price was wrong and gave him a Kelly Blue Book print out, he called me a liar. Needless to say, the folks at CarMax Milwaukee convinced me to not do business with them. Fast forward to now at CarMax Pensacola. I was reluctant but my wife insisted we go to look at their selection of different SUVs. My mother-in-law sold them her Toyota that I hated because it was too small for me. Very few of the SUVs fit; I kept having to duck to get in and I am only 5'11". Wife decided she wanted the Lexus and paid to have it shipped to Pensacola. Took weeks but the Lexus finally showed up. First look was something is wrong with the paint. The car had been severely damaged but Nashville did not disclose that information. CarMax Pensacola refunded our money to ship the car. We had almost given up when I asked about a BMW (locked) on the lot. We loved it; paid cash and took it home. BTW-our salesperson was kinda of a schlub but did OK. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we finally go the car on the freeway. Something is wrong. Back to CarMax Pensacola; referred to the local BMW dealer, which I hate. SUV needs front end alignment and to our surprise, CarMax Pensacola picked up the $490 tab. Yes, we had a good rep at CarMax and their recommended person at BMW was a gem.

"We strive to bring you the best quality vehicle, competitive pricing and top rated customer service." - Chris Carroll Automotive website About Us section. You would think that a person looking for an affordable solution to obtaining the car they desire wouldn't have to question the validity of "Quality Vehicles" claimed as being sold by this dealership. Unfortunately my personal experience as well as several others have made the costly mistake of trusting this dealership's claim. It's a wonder how a business who claims to be "reputable" with the sale of "quality" vehicles, can truly make that claim. It's EASY when they haven't actually taken the time to assure the vehicles they sell are, in fact, "Quality" vehicles because they are sold "AS IS"! That term seems to be used quite loosely at this dealership. It seems, that maybe, more time is spent trying to make vehicles "appear" to be good quality in hopes that they make it past a 30 - 60 threshold. I purchased a beautiful 2014 Toyota Tundra from them, and had the oil changed immediately to get a PM schedule started. After noticing an excessive amount of smoke during startup only a few weeks after I bought it, I discussed the issue with a friend and was told it was probably condensation. After having only traveled about 7000 total miles during my short ownership, going from home to work and couple of trips to the VA for my military service connected disabilities I'm now having to pay $6950 to rebuild the engine + an additional $795 to replace the damaged catalytic converters caused by the neglect. After a few months the smoke upon startup and a few episodes of sluggishness during operation I was forced to bring the vehicle to Toyota for diagnostic testing. According to the Master Mechanics at Toyota, the condition found, was the result of LONG TERM neglect. The estimated the last oil change before the one I performed was roughly 3 - 4 years. This is not contestable as the proof is in photographic evidence. They also determined that there was no way this occurred after the few miles put on by me. They also explained that just a few simple extra steps during preliminary inspections of a vehicle done by a reputable dealership and any "certified mechanic", would have found such terrible problems and had them resolved or the vehicle rejected by the by the dealership instead of passing the problems onto unsuspecting customers. I've tried repeatedly to contact them to talk about what was going on and was promptly ignored. How quickly, out of a desire for the almighty dollar, do they have unsuspecting consumers sign the sold "As Is" documents without regards to delivering a TRUE quality product? All I asked for from this dealership was just to...compromise... to do what is right, to correct a catastrophic mistake made by those trusted to provide a quality vehicle. That level of trust I had, has now led to a very costly repair job. I suppose what I trusted was a belief in human decency and a slogan put out by a dealership, evidently, just to sell as many cars as possible. How many customers are they willing prey upon? I suppose the answer is, as many as possible to deliver QUANTITY, not QUALITY. It is the responsibility of the dealership to ensure vehicle condition matches the advertised price when the condition is base according to KBB. Chris Carroll Automotive gets an "F" for this effort for customer satisfaction and vehicle quality, responsiveness and truth in pricing My apologies for the long rant, however the bottom line is, trust...but verify. Human decency is a rare commodity these days.

* due to Yelp review character limitations, more context cannot be provided on this platform*…read more I purchased a 2018 Honda CR-V brand-new from Pensacola Honda and have exclusively maintained a single-owner service history here. I am a loyal customer whose family has purchased brand-new vehicles off this lot since 2000, including two for my adult son and three for my parents. In 26 years, Erika Nelson and Zane Priestley are the only individuals I have ever had an issue with. As an aviation mechanic/Quality Assurance inspector for the US Navy, I am professionally trained to inspect fluid, electrical, and pneumatic systems and audit line technicians. I know exactly how maintenance-induced damage, structural component integrity, and overlapping labor calculations operate. This interaction involved a blatant double-dipping labor scheme designed to extract unnecessary costs from a consumer they presumed was uninformed. The primary diagnosis was a factory defect: a leaking compressor shaft seal covered 100% by American Honda's 10-year warranty extension under TSB SB 23-040, hence, why I opted to go to the dealer and not fix it myself. My advisor, Erika Nelson's laughable attempt to claw extra commission was evident. She quoted a massive $939.37 out-of-pocket charge to replace an adjacent rubber discharge hose weeping refrigerant. After being told my repair would take 2 hours, that turned into the next day, and eventually turned into 3 days after the original vehicle drop off date. I requested a direct call from Service Manager, Zane Priestley, to discuss the billing, but my requests were avoided. My logs show I contacted the department 8 times before Erika finally responded. Once on speakerphone with both Zane and Erika, my expert mechanical knowledge was evident as they brought the line technician in, who stated that while the warranty seal requires disconnecting the discharge hose, he didn't have to "completely back it all the way off" to do the job, using a basic 4-clip plastic bumper removal to justify 3.6 hours ($645.88) of full standalone retail labor on a system already open for a corporate-funded warranty repair. The deception intensified during the teardown. An A/C compressor field coil is a solid-state electromagnet with zero moving parts. The shop's initial video notes confirmed the compressor clutch was engaging perfectly on arrival. It is highly suspect that a massive structural "crack" is suddenly witnessed only after the technician physically pried the assembly apart with tools. But now that compressor coil also needed to be replaced, of course. Instead of taking operational accountability for what any reasonable observer would surmise was shop-induced damage during disassembly, they wiped the part fee under a generic insurance code, then appended highly defensive, redundant legalistic disclaimers asserting the broken coil was "not related to the shaft seal" to protect their inflated billing. At checkout, Erika read a total of $899.66 over the phone but then folded and covered up the internal paperwork, only exposing the signature lines. The credit card terminal displayed $899.66, but a hidden 3% surcharge was forced on the backend, deducting $926.64 from my Navy Federal Visa without terminal disclosure. Running an override to capture a higher amount than what is authorized on the screen is a merchant violation. I calmly stated at checkout that I would follow up with American Honda Corp. and Sonic Automotive should they care to perform an audit. There is so much more to this 5 day evolution, but the takeaway is Erika's HPRO padding and commission incentivized manipulation of repair orders, coupled with Zane's substandard "management" ability May earn extra dollars here and there, but the credibility damage they do to a brand is priceless. I will share my experience with the two of them far and wide. While I intend to continue patronizing this facility due to my 26-year history with Honda products, I strongly advise all customers to highly scrutinize every single add-on and surcharge attempt at checkout.

I am admittedly a bit pushy--I know exactly what I want and how I want it. The team here didn't blink an eye at that; they worked hard to figure it out and deliver exactly what I was looking for. I walked away getting an amazing amount for my Lexus and a great monthly price on my new lease. What sets this dealership apart is the authentic customer service. Dropping a large amount of money is stressful, and people naturally have their guard up. But everyone here immediately puts you at ease. It doesn't feel like a sales tactic; they are just good people who want to see you leave happy rather than just making money off of you. While I was there, I overheard the other reps talking with their customers, and every single conversation I heard was warm, genuine, and personable. The specific team members who took care of me went completely above and beyond. Victoriah was the salesperson who helped get me into my new 4Runner. She was incredibly kind, and we had a great time chatting about personal stuff throughout the process. I watched her juggle myself and another customer who was buying a car at the same time, and even with her hands full, she remained completely attentive. A true 10 out of 10! Then there was Hayden, who worked with finance and on the floor. I only spoke with him for a little while, but he was very nice, knowledgeable and gave me real hope right off the bat that we could get a great deal together--and they delivered. When it came time for the paperwork, Jason in finance made getting through everything quick, seamless, and thorough. He clearly let me know what the dealership offered for coverage but was never pushy about making me buy it. He was fun to joke around with, which made the final financial steps a breeze. Chris, the floor manager, was the one who made this deal happen and approved my numbers. I later found out he mentioned that while I was getting a really good deal on this lease, it was worth it because he knew he'd make a loyal customer out of me--and he was 100% right. Chris was great to talk to; we chatted a lot about business and cars. Later, when I came back to buy weatherproof mats and the retail desk wasn't open yet, Chris personally walked me to the back to make sure the parts got ordered. To top it all off, I was briefly introduced to Mr. Tyler himself. I made sure to tell him what an amazing experience I was having, and he said that's exactly why he tries to be there every day--to ensure things are running right. As a business owner myself, I respect that commitment to his business and his employees deeply. The personal touch matters the most in these situations, and Bob Tyler Toyota nailed it. As long as I live in the area, they have a loyal customer for life. If you want a stress-free, enjoyable car-buying experience, go see this team!
