Sergio's Concrete Work

Sergio's Concrete Work

Needed some concrete work redone around my swimming pool. Looked on YELP and found Sergio's…read moreConcrete Work. Sergio was very busy but was able to come out on a Sunday to look at the project and then sent a bid through email. I found his price to be very competitive and he understood the work we needed done. He and his crew came out and did the project in 1 day. It was a small project so it was done in 1 day, we paid at the end of the day after the project was done. They hauled and disposed of the old concrete matter. The crew was well mannered. They cleaned up the area well when they finished the project. We were happy with the work and we do recommend him.

Even though i had several concrete quotes, I did a google search and found Sergios Concrete Works…read moreand reached out to them. Sergio came our, quoted the job and told us about his business and after comparing the quotes we realized that Sergios was very competitive. So we hired him and his team. They came out and in one day did all the concrete work that we needed by concreting, where two stalls were in our barn, concreted, the lean too attached to our barn for us to store our tractor and also put in a concrete pad for a propane tank. Sergio was very communicative. He understood what we wanted. His crew was respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. After they completed the job, Sergio hauled away the old concrete that they had to tear out. I will definitely refer him to anybody that I know. And we will use him again in the future.

I found Eric Lonestar Masonry through Yelp. I have to be honest I would not recommend Eric…read more There were few repairs needed to be done which I agreed to pay $950 for. I made sure he understood and saw in-person what was needed and asked him if he still wanted to proceed before work started. Several times after agreeing on the scope of work and payment Eric seemed to want to change what was agreed on. (payment and work) Micro-managing Eric was exhausting. End result was not what I had repeatedly told Eric. I had marked specific broken bricks for him and they did not get replaced. I told Eric to please match the caulking color. I asked him several times if he would have any issues doing any of these things and he repeatedly said he wouldn't. In the end I paid the full $950 for the work done.

I hired Eric from Lone Star Masonry for a brick restoration project. Unfortunately, the experience…read morewas highly unprofessional from the outset. He failed to begin the work on time, and when he eventually did, he arrived without the necessary materials. Eric had assured me that he would personally oversee the job and work with his crew; however, there was no crew. Instead, he sent his elderly parents, who worked for only a couple of days before they all left for Mexico without any notice. Throughout the process, Eric consistently failed to show up at the times he committed to. What was originally estimated to be a 4-5 day project ended up dragging on for over a month. During that time, I had to contact Eric repeatedly--at least five to six times--to remind him that the work was still incomplete. Despite the lack of progress, he persistently pressured me for payment. Eventually, out of sheer frustration, I paid him in full, even though the job had not been completed. To make matters worse, the work site was left in a mess. My yard was cluttered with debris, and there was no proper cleanup effort. The entire job was handled in an extremely unprofessional manner and fell far short of basic expectations for quality and accountability. Mumtaz Jesani

They dug up a post and cut it down for me just to make sure it looked better and gave me more room. I highly recommend them. The cost was unbeatable. Thanks guys. I will definitely use them again

Will never use MD Construction and certainly wouldn't recommend…read more I paid extra to have 6" 4000 PSI concrete poured for my drive instead of standard 4" 3000 PSI concrete, which should have been overkill, but I didn't want to have to worry about the driveway again. One thing I noticed immediately is that they brushed leaves into the top of the drive, while cement was wet, instead of removing the leaves. Subsequently, there are leaf imprints all over the new driveway (see photo of one of the many imprints). The color consistency is also bad and there is one ~3' x 2' patch up by the garage that's a completely different shade than the rest of the driveway. What really infuriates me, though, is that they didn't order enough concrete and had to get bagged cement from Home Depot to finish the job. Within three to four weeks a crack formed in the area where they mixed bagged concrete with concrete from the cement truck. When I contacted the owner about the crack, he tried to convince me it was normal. Like I'm an idiot who would believe that a brand new 6" 4000 PSI concrete drive should have cracks in it. A quick Google search will tell you that mixing sacked concrete with ready-mix concrete that comes in a cement truck will definitely cause problems. Either the owner knew this and didn't care, or he just doesn't know what he's doing. One thing I do know about concrete is that when water gets in a crack during the winter then freezes, the crack will only get bigger. Regardless, who wants a 3' long crack in their driveway? Especially right at the front of a brand new driveway, which is the first thing anyone sees when they pull up to your house. Once the owner gets your money, don't count on much if you have problems. The owner kept putting off fixing the crack by telling me how busy he is, but after contacting him several times, he finally sent someone out. The "fix" made the drive look worse and the crack is still there. Three months later and I'm still trying to get him to fix the problem. He basically told me he's doing me a favor by fixing his shoddy workmanship. How this company has so many 5 star reviews is beyond me. Unfortunately, I've discovered that positive reviews can't be trusted anymore, especially when a company has nothing but 5 star reviews. I'm not suggesting the 5 star reviews are paid for fake reviews, but I will strongly suggest that you pay attention to my review and any other reviews from people who had horrible experiences.
