Excellent service! i usually bring my shredding to staples, but I had a really large amount and wanted to go to a more commercial spot. I was hoping to have the shredding done that day, and was pleasantly surprised with a call back from this company, saying that they could have somebody come pick up all of my shredding the next day or I could bring it down to their office right then and they would do it right there in front of me. I pulled right up and there was the shredding truck right there. An employee met me where we went through and disposed of a 110 pounds of paper. In order to save time, make sure anything with plastic or rubber is removed. (plastic coated folders, Things filed in plastic bags, rubber bands) to make the process go more quickly. I had a number of bags of papers that needed to be properly disposed of, and Coastal Shredding allows customers to bring papers to shred to their CM facility after 3:30pm at a 60-70% savings. I had made 4 calls today before learning about their onsite shredding. Before 3:30pm, this truck is out doing onsite shredding. Nice people and half the price of UPS etc. They will come out to your house for a $75 minimum shred or you can go to their warehouse between 4-5 PM each workday. Coastal Shredding did a great job for me today. I only had about 50lbs to shred (small job, so I drove to their Costa Mesa location- easy to find with plenty of parking),l; I really like that they loaded it into a bin, then immediately wheeled the bin to their nearby "state of the art heavy duty truck", then the bin was "unloaded" into a shredder / auger that ground up all of the paper super fast. They even had a video camera on the side of the truck with a view of all of the paperwork being ground up so I could see everything happen. I liked actually seeing it destroyed while watching (a big plus for me as I didn't want to load the paperwork in a locked bin to be shredded "later" that another company offered, I wanted to see it destroyed while I watched). All in all, very fast, efficient, with courteous employees, and, a very reasonable price. read more

Spring cleaning, my staff told me. They wanted to clear out the waste that was accumulated in the warehouse. Less than 15 minutes ... and it was all gone. 15+ file boxes of paperwork that I needed destroyed so that I can make room for an incoming shipment from overseas was destroyed in a matter of minutes. I made sure my husband would come to the office in the morning to help me move the boxes to a centralized location and right on time I see the truck roaming the complex looking for us. The truck is a bit noisy when it gets started, but I couldn't believe how quickly he dumped the papers into a bin and loaded it up onto his shredding contraption that is built into his truck. There is a screen on the outside just so you can witness it being destroyed. He gave me a document stating the destruction. I learned a little bit about the business, where the "confetti" was going and he even flattened my boxes and took it with him to be recycled as well! Would highly recommend this company. I called three different places and taking into consideration of the convenience of them coming to me versus me driving my boxes to the location and the tiered pricing based on box count/weight ... they were the most reasonable. Friendly people. I had to clean out tons of paperwork after my father died and much of it needed to be shredded. It wasn't enough to justify their mobile service, but I took over a number of bags and had it shred at their office after one of their trucks had returned for the day. Typically this service is available most days M-F between 4-5pm for considerably less than the mobile cost. If you only have 50 pounds or less its $20. Mine was 67 pounds for $25. It worked out great! You can watch on the camera all of your stuff being "chewed up." read more
