My grandmother was transferred to this facility, and although I tried to remain hopeful, those hopes were quickly crushed within the first week as everything began to decline. This is not a facility where family members can relax or trust that their loved ones are receiving proper care. We have had to stay vigilant every step of the way. My grandmother is here to be rehabilitated, but how can anyone heal or progress in an environment where the standard of care is deplorable? There is absolutely no sense of urgency among the staff. These are elderly patients many with serious medical needs yet call buttons are ignored for up to 50 minutes. That level of neglect is unacceptable. The dismissive, unpleasant attitudes displayed by several staff members are also deeply concerning. These patients are the very reason this staff is employed, yet they are treated as burdens rather than human beings deserving of dignity and compassion. One staff member in particular, Farrah(nurse), stands out for her unprofessionalism. "Nasty" does not even begin to describe her demeanor. She attempted to argue with me, claiming she was not the tech assigned to my grandmother's room. Regardless of her assignment, she is still a nurse, and nurses are not exempt from providing basic patient care. Her refusal to assist was unacceptable. During what we assumed would be a normal visit, my mother and I were met with yet another disturbing situation. My grandmother who suffers from gout her hand swollen like a balloon, along with severely swollen ankles and feet. This was due to the fact that only one staff member carries the key to the supply closet, resulting in unnecessary delays in care. Again, a complete lack of urgency for a patient dealing with significant fluid retention. When she needed to use the restroom, we waited approximately 30 minutes with no response to the call light. Eventually, my mother and I had to help her ourselves. What exactly are nurses being paid for if family members have to step in to perform their duties? We even timed the response on purpose just to confirm what we already suspected. I attempted to speak with Connie, the floor manager. Not only was she unavailable at her office, but when we finally reached her, she was dismissive and indifferent. Her lack of concern explains a lot about the culture of the staff under her supervision. What makes this worse is that the entire facility continues to show no accountability for their actions. Instead of addressing the issue with honesty or empathy, they sent the nurse practitioner into the room to "smooth things over." Rather than listening to our concerns, she chose to boast about her credentials, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. This approach did nothing to resolve the situation or acknowledge the seriousness of our concerns. At this facility, any attempt to ask reasonable questions about a loved one is immediately met with accusations of being "hostile." Instead of offering clarity or compassion, staff respond defensively, as if they're already guilty of wrongdoing. The overall tone and attitude throughout this facility are unacceptable cold, dismissive, and completely lacking the empathy that families deserve. I fully intend to escalate this situation as far as necessary. The care here is unsafe, unprofessional, and emotionally damaging, and changes must be made immediately.

Absolutely the WORST Office. I had a Psych and a Therapist…read morewith NH, and I had issues with both. The Psych Dr. that I had kept insisting I had a disorder that I did not believe I had. When I mentioned that I believe I am Autistic and have ADHD, he declined that it was possible. The therapist, every visit would tell me that I am a problem, and after 3 years of outpatient care with this office, I was MORE SICK than when I arrived. The therapist would try to confuse me into thinking a certain way, by putting me down!! My husband heard what they were saying to me and told me to quit seeing them immediately, as he obviously saw signs of medical malpractice, manipulation and psychological abuse after I told him what they were saying to me. When I tried to leave the Therapist would call me trying to get me to stay with them for some odd reason when they heard I wanted to switch to a completely different company. I finally found a proper Psych and therapist with a completely different company, and for reference in this situation, I will note that they are amazing in comparison to New Horizons. The new Dr has Diagnosed me with Autism & ADHD, and have given me proper therapies for that without forcing pills down my throat the way New Horizons was trying to. I have been able to learn about my disorders and how to cope with them properly, and it has helped me stabilize my life and start healing. (You will not get help from New Horizons if you have ASD or ADHD--they admitted they don't deal with it, at all) It has taken me 2 whole years of therapy with a proper office to heal from the damage New Horizons ensued on my mental and physical health. And it's also worth mentioning, when I talked to management at New Horizons about my situation, they will gaslight you and still act like it's not their problem. And they admitted they don't deal with Autism. And that's the kicker! They kept me SICK for YEARS just because they know Nothing of Autism, misdiagnosed me because they know nothing about Autism! If they knew nothing about Autism or ADHD than they should have been honest when I said I believed I had it, and referred me to someone who does know and can properly evaluate me for it, instead of gas lighting me and insisting I couldn't have it and making me sick for years. Because as soon as I was diagnosed properly with ASD & ADHD, I got better. And that was NOT going to happen at New Horizons because they were labeling, misdiagnosing and putting me down constantly. All while not even acknowledging my concerns or letting me know that they don't deal with ASD. How Horrible, and I really hope that they don't put anyone else through this. The Physical and Occupational Therapy Departments were amazing and some of the best I have ever been to. They had lots of things to do, like every Wednesday they had an ice cream social, with entertainment, bingo, bright minds, Bible study and a church service every other Sunday, just to name a few. If I ever have to go back to a nursing and Rehab place, this is the one I would choose!

She is under 90lbs and 4 feet something tall. They had her in an oversized wheelchair. She couldn't reach the floor nor could she rotate the wheels to go anywhere. I was told she was sliding down, so when I leave, move her to the lunch room area where she could be watched. Really, how about a proper fitting chair? During one visit she needed to use the bathroom so I pushed the nurses call button. Twenty minutes later two therapist came in. I'm assuming for her session because (assuming again), they don't usually handle bathroom duties. They decided to walk her to the toilet. Well, I'm sure you guessed it, she didn't make it. She's 95 years old and waited twenty minutes already! Also, one of the cabinets in the room was filled with the last persons belongings, so how thorough is their housekeeping team. Also, there was an alarm sounding and I asked the person at the nursing desk what it was for, they weren't sure. I would think alarms would be part of their training to know exactly what had happened.
