Zero stars, the most stressful time of our life. Visit with treasure Coast Hospice liaison. 1st…read morevisit was suggested by martin south doctor caring for my husband. Hospice liaison said "he is not ready for Hospice". Gave us brochures and went on her way. Husband was moved to Encompass, I did not feel he was ready for rehab, that night Encompass called me moving him back to Martin South hospital he was not doing well. Martin South called me that night and were sending him to Martin North for critical care. Next AM I went to hospital he was not doing well, was treated for several days they moved him out of critical care. My intuition thought they made a mistake; I was with him every day he was in the hospital watching his body slowly going into giving up. After couple days I said stop with the massive poking of needles, trying to draw blood and he is in pain. I left that evening he was going to sleep he said goodbye love you, he had always said goodnight. I prayed for him; I knew that would be the last of his pain. That morning he was in coma they moved him to a private room and then called hospice I said ok maybe they will learn something from this. We all said our goodbyes he passed away that evening. Now hospice wants to help us with our grieving, I went through the hardest time of my life. Don't believe the rosy picture they paint! Maybe a big $ donner helps with the fancy brochures but not hospice care. God took care of my husband and will take care of me.

I'm sharing my concerns about Stuart Assisted Living where my mother with dementia was a resident…read morefor over a year. Since the ownership changed within the last 5 months care and the overall environment have noticeably declined. Staffing and care: chronic understaffing, with several instances of missed meals and delayed supervision. My mother didn't have anyone several times to take her to the dining room for lunch and dinner, which I have video recordings of her not leaving her room for those meals. I had a ring camera in her room. Communication not always the best. I wanted her Drs number to talk about her medications and I was denied a few times until I put it in an email. Because of these concerns, I relocated my mom to a facility where she appeared happier within the 2nd day. If your parent needs assistance in a living center do not count on this one. I am posting this review as a warning to others.

He slept in a recliner with metastasized pancreatic cancer for 5 days before his hospital bed arrived, no sheets were provided and they had not made any arrangements for him to be lifted from his recliner into his hospital bed. Further, I was told that they provided 3 visits per week from a nurse's aide to do things like bathing, shaving and so forth, but today marks an entire week since he came home and only after SEVERAL calls and text messages did they finally send someone on Saturday who said she was UNABLE to do all those care items because poor accessibility due to him not being in a hospital bed! She also noted that we should have already received all the supplies for her to use (bed pan, wash pan, etc), yet they have still not arrived after a week with Vitas! Today I asked when I could expect an aide to return since it's been a week and they only showed up once after I had to beg them to send someone, and they told me that nobody was on a schedule for this week!!! His "nurse" called me shortly after I complained and said that while the aide should visit 3 times a week that they'd only bathe him once and that "the family needs to step up and help some"!! He's been home for a week, sleeping in a recliner while Vitas has had a nurse come over twice to check his blood pressure and temperature -- not exactly wonderful care! If you want your loved one to die with dignity and you don't want to have to beg hospice to provide a minimal level of service, avoid Vitas at all costs.

Several times we were sent aides that barely spoke English... sat around on their phones... took my mother to her appointments mostly on time.. But I was informed by the nurses that the aides brought my mother sometimes 1.5 hours late to her appointments... and I was never notified... The nurses also gave aide information... that was never passed on to me.. her daughter.. Two weeks after we stopped using the agency, I'm still finding out things, the aide was given information regarding scheduling a pet scan...and that was never done.. The doctor was upset that the pet scan was never ordered... I never knew about it.. Very incompetent home health aides... Could never get same aides, Buyer Beware... I would not recommend them to anyone.

was very disappointed in this company upon hiring them to help care for my 91 year old grandfather…read more I had to in detail explain my expectations; to which would include making sure he had ice water, taking a walk with him (in his wheelchair) outside to the mailbox everyday. There was absolutely zero consistency to the schedule of the aides, a new one came every day. The very last straw of terminating the relationship with this company was a complete no-show. Myself nor my grandfather was contacted by a supervisor, anyone from the company, or an aide saying that an aide was coming that day. My grandfather went without eating that day. If quality, consistent care is what you want, look elsewhere.....This client was left after doing research and found more claims of same complaints. Be aware when it pertains to your loved ones

I stayed at Emerald rehab for around 3 weeks after renal failure. There are both good aNDMO bad…read moreaspects to my stay there. First the good: most of the nurses there were quite capable and caring. Special shout out to the night nurses Osbaldo and Marie as well as the day nurse Evelyn who were all excellent and responsive. The CNAs there were just average with only one, Charity, being a notable exception. She was always working and very good to me. Some didn' t seem to care at all. The physical, occupational, and speech therapists were all excellent and dedicated. The dialysis department was outstanding with Sheyla being a delight. On the negative side, the administration was quite poor, rarely following up, getting things wrong, telling me something was done that wasn't, matching up very ill patients who need constant care with those who don't. Putting me in the wrong dialysis facility after discharge. Had to be changed. The facility does not make it a priority for patients to get a proper night's sleep, They come in at all hours of the night sometimes just to take out trash. Hard to get more than a few hour's sleep. The food service needs to be overhauled. Quality is poor, and more importantly the diets that were carefully detailed were not followed at all. As an example, I was on a renal diet that was restricted and was constantly fed off limits food despite repeatedly telling them in writing that the food was not appropriate. Access to doctors were limited. I only saw my primary doctor once in almost 4 weeks and that was after constantly asking. Once you could see the doctor they were quite capable and professional, This could be a higher rated facility but they need a lot of improvement in important areas.
