We weren't particularly impressed. This place is ghastly expensive. ($5900 for Un-Assisted Living) Our feelings are, other than the fancy interior, it is mediocre. Most of the staff appear to be in contempt of the residents. The Hot Tub has been broken for two months. Repeated requests to repair it were met with "Our Maintenance staff is Very Busy". Really...? They have THIRTY-ONE empty units. Dinner here was...Pathetic. Our mother was treated beyond rudely by Cindy. She completely ignored us, refused to bring us silverware or water, even though there were only 5 occupied tables in the Dining Room, and most had already finished their dinner. She was clearly "punishing" our mother for forgetting to make a dinner reservation. In a 1/4 full dining room. After 20 minutes of purgatory I finally said something. Her mother/dining room supervisor then took over...with another attitude. When we ordered Baked Potatoes, her immediate response was "We Don't have Sour Cream". Ohhhhkaaaay. In our opinion this place is not managed as well as it should be for the price. We don't feel they truly care about their Residents. It's ALL.ABOUT.MONEY.

I have found most of the staff here are lazy and do not follow the resident's care plan. The common areas are dirty and dull. Not everything is being done for my father that should be according to his care plan . For what we are paying monthly (approx. $7,000) it is definatly not worth that. The staff will walk into his room not even say hi or ask if him if he would like anything. They promise a lot but there is no follow through. I am constantly in there as my father's advocate. It's amazing how the staff and the administrators will argue that they are right when they're not. Look beyond the pretty and glitzy decorations and think twice before moving yourself or a loved one here.

His personal care lacked in all areas and he felt unsafe, anxious and it was clear his needs were being neglected. There is nothing worse than leaving a family member in a facility they don't feel safe in and you know their needs are not being met. This concern brought us to the Symphony at Stuart and this move has meant a world of difference for my brother! Symphony at Stuart more than met all of our family's expectations and this includes my brother who is now settled in and thriving. The facility is clean, bright and welcoming with an extremely impressive care and medical staff on site who have responded to all questions or concerns. My brother has responded to this positive move; he is less anxious and much more positive about his situation. They have a wonderful Memory Care Director, Melissa who is totally involved in all aspects of my brothers care. She is approachable, concerned and proactive with any family concerns brought to her. With engaging staff and a calendar full of monthly activities my brother clearly feels better about his situation. He is clean, smiling, engaged and mostly happy and Symphony at Stuart and his family feels great knowing he is now feeling secure and knowing Symphony at Stuart really does care!

I'm always scared if it's an emergency and they don't show up in time. The management there is horrible and only cares about the money and not the residents. The exception to the management is the awesome nursing supervisor who has been so professional, helpful and kind since we moved in. She has gone out of her way to help us and she is the only reason I have kept my mom there for so long, but unfortunately she has recently quit because of the corrupt management there. I will be moving my mom out of this facility as soon as possible!

At the end of April she had a stroke, she returned but to the SNF side for some rehab. She wants to go back to the ALF side; she keeps trying to 'escape' because she wants her ALF room back. Every time I talk to someone (when I can get them to return my call haha) tells me something different. There is NO communication with the family. I finally find out at the end of her 100% covered SNF days that I could have refused and had her back on the ALF already. My mom can walk by herself, feed herself, dress herself, bathe herself; her dementia memory has always been there and I will admit has exacerbated, but it would not be as bad if she were not on the skilled nursing side as she is bored and COVID isolating her family has not helped the situation! She wants her room and her recliner. Kristi is wonderful and about the one that has communicated with me almost immediately. The social worker has tried. The rest of the management I am not impressed with, I will admit I did not need them before so I was not aware.

Hospice liaison said "he is not ready for Hospice". Gave us brochures and went on her way. Husband was moved to Encompass, I did not feel he was ready for rehab, that night Encompass called me moving him back to Martin South hospital he was not doing well. Martin South called me that night and were sending him to Martin North for critical care. Next AM I went to hospital he was not doing well, was treated for several days they moved him out of critical care. My intuition thought they made a mistake; I was with him every day he was in the hospital watching his body slowly going into giving up. Talked to hospice again and again she said he is not ready. I could not believe what she said after looking at my husband. After couple days I said stop with the massive poking of needles, trying to draw blood and he is in pain. I left that evening he was going to sleep he said goodbye love you, he had always said goodnight. I prayed for him; I knew that would be the last of his pain. That morning he was in coma they moved him to a private room and then called hospice I said ok maybe they will learn something from this. We all said our goodbyes then hospice showed up and he passed away that evening. Now hospice wants to help us with our grieving, I went through the hardest time of my life. Don't believe the rosy picture they paint! Maybe a big $ donner helps with the fancy brochures but not hospice care. God took care of my husband and will take care of me.
