We've never dealt with anything like this and things were moving so fast. We made a quick (and scary) decision to move him here - sight unseen. I can't tell you how grateful we are to have made that call. In his last days - my dad was comforted, surrounded by family and completely at peace. Carlton came in to perform a beautiful/respectful ceremony for my father (a proud veteran). They thanked him for his years of service in Vietnam, placed an American flag by his side and saluted him. It was such a beautiful and emotional tribute the way they honored him. We were so touched - it completely brought us to tears. He passed away moments later. I'll forever be grateful for the (short) time we all spent here. It allowed us to find some peace through such an incredibly difficult time. Thank you everyone for your kindness and support.

Dr Kanesh is an A+ doctor who listens to every family members concern with the utmost patience. Hospice by the Sea is clean , tranquil, and provides good services for the caretaker. She wasn't needing end of life services yet, but she had severe dementia and was needing total care at a local ALF. Trustbridge transported her back to her ALF, provided all necessary supplies on an ongoing basis (Depends, toiletries, hospital bed, high-back wheelchair, etc.). A Trustbridge nurse and NP checked on her health and well-being every week. Trustbridge music therapists came to play guitar and sing to her several times (Sara is an absolute angel!) When my mom refused food and water at the end of September, Trustbridge got her approved for crisis care, and hospice nurses sat by her bedside around the clock, providing care, keeping her clean and comfortable and calm. These were some of the kindest, most respectful and compassionate nurses I've ever witnessed (especially Miracle, Beverly, Berwyn, Bernadette, and many others). They helped make my mother's transition (she passed after ten days without food and water) as painless and peaceful as could be and made a traumatic, stressful week survivable for me and my siblings. I would recommend them 100% to anyone whose loved one might be in the end stages of Alzheimer's or dementia.

This company is horrible. Do not be conned by them. When my mom had medical issues, they sent a…read morenurse to check her vitals, that's it. The quality of their care is awful. It took several days to get an X-ray for a potential broken leg. When I called the office for more support, all they tell Me is that they can send a nurse, all while my parent was in agonizing pain. After being treated for a bad UTI, TrustBridge calls me at 1 am and says they have a bed and she should stay there instead of hospital. TrustBridge took her and told me they would give her the "same treatment as hospital". That was a lie. She was not given an antibiotic or an IV. They would've let her die. Do not use this company under any circumstances!!!! They will not provide proper care.

Dr Crouch was wonderful and had a great style and was very attentive to a terminal parent's needs. The 24/7 nurse and care support at the in patient care was also excellent. Hospice liaison said "he is not ready for Hospice". Gave us brochures and went on her way. Husband was moved to Encompass, I did not feel he was ready for rehab, that night Encompass called me moving him back to Martin South hospital he was not doing well. Martin South called me that night and were sending him to Martin North for critical care. Next AM I went to hospital he was not doing well, was treated for several days they moved him out of critical care. My intuition thought they made a mistake; I was with him every day he was in the hospital watching his body slowly going into giving up. Talked to hospice again and again she said he is not ready. I could not believe what she said after looking at my husband. After couple days I said stop with the massive poking of needles, trying to draw blood and he is in pain. I left that evening he was going to sleep he said goodbye love you, he had always said goodnight. I prayed for him; I knew that would be the last of his pain. That morning he was in coma they moved him to a private room and then called hospice I said ok maybe they will learn something from this. We all said our goodbyes then hospice showed up and he passed away that evening. Now hospice wants to help us with our grieving, I went through the hardest time of my life. Don't believe the rosy picture they paint! Maybe a big $ donner helps with the fancy brochures but not hospice care. God took care of my husband and will take care of me.

I also called around 3 pm and was told the nurse will call and visit my mother. They are very good at answering the calls and transferring you to the proper team. Unfortunately after this process the ball is horribly dropped. My mom is sick and dying. My dad is a senior and thought my mom passed this morning from lack of breathing. He was wrong thankfully and again we are waiting for the nurse. It really doesn't matter what service you use unfortunately it all sucks. They mean well but maybe they have too many patients and can't handle the work load. Care is 100% vital to the patient and the family. I think both sides are saddened by the work ethics this company displays!
