My experience was unfortunate. See pictures. There were quite a few surfaces that were not dusted. I pointed out 3 during the spot check alone. It seemed like a lot to miss for a 300 sq ft apartment. I had clearly said that the floors were my #1 priority, but they were unable to clean them. Spots of dirt were left on the floor. It was blamed on the fact that I had used a swifter twice on the floor. A cleaning solution was used on the floor which left it sticky, basically the same thing as if they had swiffered. They later realized that the floors should be cleaned multiple times with vinegar and water, but didn't do it and the cleaning solution streaks remained. I asked about the large amount of grime remaining of the floors and Erica said there was "nothing they could do" A large purple stain was left on the bathroom, when I asked about it Erica said that she tried every single cleaning solution and it could not be removed. I was actually easily able to get it off with a scrub sponge. They spilled a potted plant on a file folder in which I keep important document, passport, etc. there was dirt inside the files and the plant was ruined. The bags of trash were left inside the apartment. She kept saying she couldn't clean things because they were deep cleaning items, but then at the same time insisted that she had deep cleaned my apartment for the price of a surface clean. Which is it? Would have been 100% happy to pay for deep clean if it Would have included my "impossible the clean" floors. If Erica needed to leave without finishing the job to take care of personal business, or if my apartment was too dirty to clean, then my cleaning should have been rescheduled or cancelled. read more

I had never used a cleaning service before and was very skeptical because I have pretty impossible standards for how I clean my home. Coastal Cleaning far exceeded my expectations!! The cleaner was right on time and followed all of my cleaning list. They were on time and used all eco-friendly but the kicker was the use of essential oils and the fresh smell of lavender made it feel like much more than a house cleaning but a calming feeling for me as well. I even have several shelves with lots of small crystal pieces on them that I was sure he wouldn't completely dust around, but they were dust free! These lady's were amazing! Did way more than I expected. I hired another company to do a couple hours of cleaning, and it literally looked as if they simply straightened up and did a once over. We hired Coastal Cleaning for only a couple hours and they got into every nook and cranny. They didn't use harmful chemicals, as we have an indoor dog, and my bathroom and kitchen looked as if my tile was re-grouted. The amount of work they did in an hour was as if they worked for six, and to think I was happy with the previous company. I now have higher standards and only use Costal Cleaning from now on. I was extremely disappointed in every aspect with Coastal Cleaning - they miscommunicated, were inconsistent, and overpriced. The initial communication/back and forth with the owner was unreliable, confusing, and the price for the service changed the day of. Erika arrived and refused to clean the area that needed service, saying it was "too dirty". I'm not sure where they draw the line for what constitutes "beyond their expertise" but ANOTHER cleaning company was able to do it - no questions asked. I wouldn't be inclined to write such a poor review had the customer service been more helpful, friendly, or solution-oriented - even if they couldn't clean it. Plus it really left me in a predicament as I was on a tight deadline. Sorry, but I was very unsatisfied. read more

We scheduled a move-out clean with Erica, and the job they did simply was no where near the amount of money they asked for. It was $350 plus tip for a cleaning of a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse. Granted the house was fairly dirty (which they reminded us of several times before and after the cleaning), we still needed to pay for extra cleaning to be done immediately after they were finished and had taken our money. They did a once-over of all the visible surfaces and a vacuuming of the carpet, but they didn't touch the space underneath the stove burners or underneath or behind the refrigerator. They didn't clean windows, blinds, the oven, or the grout. They also didn't dust off any of the shelves in the bedrooms, which were caked in dust when the landlord checked. A post-vacuuming of the master bedroom's carpet also picked up a whole bag's worth of dust. As I said before, the house was long overdue for a clean, a fact we discussed beforehand, but they finished in 2 hours and assured us the landlord would have no problem. That was not the case. We now have to pay even more to compensate the landlord for the extra cleaning. There are many other companies that will do a lot more for a lot less money. Made an appointment for move-out cleaning. Erica came with the other two ladies, one of which basically disappeared after the first hour. So it's mostly two ladies doing the work. After just worked for 1 hour and 20 mins, Erica told me she had to leave in a few minutes because she needed to pick up her children, which she never mentioned before the appointment. Then she kept pushing me to check their work and I found a quite a few uncleaned areas around doorframes, cabinet drawers, etc. Instead of checking their own work, she relied on me to point out the dirty spots which she just casually wiped it. While I was checking their work, she insisted me paying her first with cash or check only. After she got the payment, they were in a hurry to leave but I still found the the freezer was not cleaned. While I was checking other areas, they wiped the freezer roughly and quickly left the place without asking me to check as if they were running from a monster... with a dirty freezer left for me to clean afterwards... (Pictures can be provided if needed.) The whole work took less than 2 hours with mostly two ladies doing the work. Erica charged me $270 for the move-out cleaning of a 3b2b condo and ended up getting $240 since I was short of cash and she didn't want to wait for me to get more money. They don't clean or take away the trash. They don't clean the window blinds. They left lots of dirty spots for you to discover afterwards. This is my first time using their service and it's very disappointed. I would never use them again and would NOT recommend them to anyone I know. With the same price I could have much better service than this. read more

I booked Erica for a 3bd, 3 bathroom townhome with wood floors and everything moved out. She gave me a fair price for 3 hours worth of work. I'd say I was happy overall but you do need to tell her what needs to be done and go over everything before she leaves. The first attempt at the tub was not good and I asked her to clean it again. It came out much better. She will clean what you can see with surface cleaning and make it look nice but underneath the countertop edge and other little areas, you'll have to double check. She was fine doing whatever I asked her. She won't do everything you want on her own, so you have to take a little initiative to check on the work so you're happy in the end. read more
