After another plumber flaked, I got on yelp to find someone else. Based on reviews, I sent Jacob a…read moremessage, and he responded immediately and was able to come to my home the next day (I messaged after 8:00pm). He not only was flexible with his time, but his services. I initially only thought we needed a few things done, and he was able to help repair multiple things (toilets, faucets, washer connections, etc.). Jacob was thorough, helped us diagnosis a problem we didn't even know we had (cracked toilet), and even went pick up the new toilet at the store. He did all of the work needed quickly and effectively. His prices were fair and reasonable. He also hauled away the trash/old toilet!! I have added him as my go-to plumber and will definitely be using him if ever needed again, and spreading the word.

Throughout the entire process, he took the time to talk through what he was doing and generously shared expert tips and advice that I can carry into future projects. On top of the work product, Jeff was polite, professional, and friendly as he spent several days with us completing the scope of services. He would bring pet treats for our cats and we had great conversations throughout his time with us. Thank you Jeff for all the hard work; highly recommend!

Tazz Hitt, the lead plumber, contacted me directly, arrived promptly, and walked me through everything he was doing. He performed a thorough inspection of the generator, gas meter, and lines, explaining the process and safety considerations along the way. Thankfully, no leak was found on my property--we believe the smell may have been coming from a neighboring line--but having that level of diligence gave me real peace of mind. I also want to highlight Tina in the office, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and clearly advocated for getting me same-day service given the situation. Professional, responsive, and genuinely customer-focused--highly recommend!

TL;DR: Conrad with One Good Plumber is fast, reliable, professional, reasonable, quality parts and…read moreservice. I highly recommend. Super service - even during a holiday. On the day before Thanksgiving, Conrad arrived less than one hour from me opening a home warranty claim. He quickly confirmed that my 75 gallon water heater needed to be replaced. We discussed the challenges of my installation and we agreed that the new one would not be in place until the end of day Monday. This was disappointing but understandable due to the holiday. Also, I was nervous because I was leaving town Friday morning and would not be there for any additional issues (there usually are issues). Conrad pleasantly surprised us when he called on Friday and set up to install it that day. The entire NOLA area experienced low temps in the 50's that weekend and the early install kept my wife from having to choose between bathing in cold water or travelling to impose on relatives. I returned a week later to find the new unit installed EXACTLY as we discussed. WARNING: If you have a home warranty... My only complaint is with the warranty company. I have two contracts with them - one for me and one for my disabled sister. Each home has needed a water heater this year. Regardless of their size (my sister's was a 50 gallon unit), the cost to me was over $500 for each - $75 copay plus $460 for non-covered expenses. I priced the extra parts used for my job at Home Depot and they totaled less than $30 including tax. This is a flat fee imposed by the warranty company. THIS ROBBERY IS NOT CONRAD'S FAULT. Small point: I think he choose the wrong name for his company. Conrad is One Great Plumber!

They got back to me immediately--literally within minutes, definitely under 30--and even followed up the next day with (multiple) phone calls since I kept missing their calls. I was able to get a plumber out the following day, and he quickly and professionally assessed the problem and wrote up a quote. He stayed responsive the whole time--text, Yelp, and phone--so I never had any issues with communication. Payment options were flexible too: you can pay upfront, or choose a zero-APR option if paid within 24 months. There are also lower monthly payment options, but those do come with interest. They may be expensive, but the job will be done right....at least according to the plumber I met.
