MUST READ Just…read morewanted to send a message about my incredible experience with Jerry Czeczei (Store Owner) of Jiffy Lube in Port Alberni, BC. We were on our way through town when our jeep blew an oil hose and caused the oil to spray everywhere. It was 4:50PM when we realized what was happening and we quickly made our way to the store before it was scheduled to close at 5PM. We were pleasantly greeted by Jerry and his two staff members upon arrival. They instantly offered there help and to take a look at the vehicle. After the inspection it was obvious that we weren't getting back on the road that evening. Jerry instantly started calling around looking for the part we needed, but wasn't able to get it until the next morning. Once we found out this information we started calling rental car companies, bus companies and any other option. When we found out there was nothing available, that is when Jerry made the most selfless, caring, genuine offer that we would have never expected. Jerry offered for me and my two friends to take his families vehicle for our weekend trip. Not only that, Jerry took care of our vehicle over the weekend, made the fixes and kept it parked at the location for us. Jerry drove us to his family home, provided us with the vehicle and went above and beyond with his customer service. Jerry kept me updated via text message throughout the weekend in regards to the repairs and cost. It was an amazing experience from the second we pulled up, to Sunday on our way back through, exchanging vehicles with Jerry and him showing me exactly what he had fixed. I can't relay how amazing our experience was in a single message. I will personally be sending Jerry a gift as he made a real negative situation and incredibly positive story. This man deserves recognition as I hope that every Jiffy Lube owner would go to this extent to help people in need. I can safely say that this story is going to be shared a significant amount and you have a large amount of Jiffy Lube Lifelong Customers coming between the three of us who were a part of this and the people we have shared this story with. They charge half of what a dealer charges for the same service. I'm a fairly knowledgeable car owner, and I've never felt that I was being pushed to use anything I didn't really need. I like that I can actually see what they're doing and make decisions on the spot, rather than leaving my vehicle somewhere and not knowing what was really done or how long it really took. We were approximately 2 miles north of the Buckley Bay turnoff for the Denman Island Ferry where we intended to stay the night after a meal in Courtenay. Fortunately, we have membership with the B.C. Automobile Association and contacted them for help. B.C.A.A. were, as always, excellent and before long Ted from Bowser Automotive was there to give us shelter with his tow truck from the heavy traffic and poor road conditions created by the storm while he jacked us up, removed the offending left front tire, torqued the spare in place, and made sure we had the correct air pressure all with a smile on his face. While we were all wet and cold, no one smashed into us and we remained alive and were soon on our way.....forever grateful to Ted and his truck.....with thanks, Sandy and Monty

I've never been so demeaned for being a woman. I called back for a refund after the refused to service me. Meanwhile Richard the owner sat in my car and googled codes he wasn't able to fix. The issue? My mechanic told me later that the tube they replaced in April was leaking, and that's what they refused to fix due to what I believe is incompetence. I called the following day for a refund and Allan told me to come in again and I said I didn't trust their work after coming in and waiting. Allan was extremely rude and dismissive after my long wait to an empty shop. If you aren't in an emergency, or a woman, AVOID this place. They add things to the bill without asking (my initial visit I was charged $100 for coolant I didn't want). Reported to BBB. Awful service. After a lack of info and waiting without answer, I towed my car. The new and trusted mechanic said the coolant leaked and needed a new hose. No one at Jiffy lube answered basic questions and in fact couldn't even find the leak! An appointment to fix the issue never happened. The owner, Richard, spent an entire hour sitting in my car Googling basic diagnostic codes on his personal cell phone. He did not know how to fix the issue, yet I was still charged [Insert amount if you want]. Falsely claiming we scheduled a follow-up is an attempt to cover up a complete lack of basic expertise and a rip-off. Future customers beware.

Alan goes the extra mile for every customer with a well trained crew. He is on a first name basis with many of his returning customers and always greets you with a smile.
