Had to go back to pick up a new dishwasher recently and they always have great deals for one offs and have a decent cash and carry and clearance section. I didn't know that they sold Miele and after my rep (Homer again) explained the features and benefits I was sold. The pricing on Miele is the same as other places but it was the information provided that made the difference and why I only buy my appliances from Coast. If you want to spend thousands of dollars on appliances, I strongly recommend you find them somewhere else. My washer/dryer was delivered and set up in March 2025. Almost immediately, I noticed that the washer was leaking water out the bottom. I called and left message after message, but it took a month to talk to someone. To this day, not one person at Coast has called me back. I was told it was a warranty issue and to call Whirlpool. Whirlpool provided great service and had someone out ASAP. However, it turned out the issue wasn't with the washer but the dryer, which was missing a hose. Now, I am on the hook for a service call, and water is still leaking. It still took me over a week to get someone on the phone to have someone come look at my dryer. To this day, as I write this review, my dryer is not fixed. If I could give them minus stars, I would. I would recommend purchasing appliances from a person on a corner rather than buying from them again. I do not recommend this company at all. read more

Unbelieveably poor customer service. You make an online order, no follow up, impossible to reach or get a call back. The receipt says "Free Shipping" and then they come back and try to charge you for shipping. After jumping through 10 hoops to get a confirmation of a delivery date and then they finally confirm the day for shipment, it does not come. They don't just miss the delivery day. It does not show up that week!! It's clear this company cannot manage themselves out of a paper bag. read more

Freezer was never delivered on date arranged, they will not refund the delivery charge to even try to make me happy. It has now been 6 days since I purchased the freezer, still have not received it. If there would have been a negative box, I would have used it. I have experienced a lot of the same problems as others. I bought a Cedar glen townhouse and the appliances came from coastal. Within the first month the freezer died, all the food was garbage. Took 2 months to get a new computer piece in. Then the Ice maker went, was replaced and then it didn't work. Replaced again. Now the light in the fridge doesn't come on all the time. Totem has been out 4 times and it is still not working. Cedargleen isn't any better it wasn't working under the 1 year warranty, and just say its Samsung problem. Cedar Glenn buys junk appliances and Coastal provides them. Small claims court seems to be the only way I have to get a fridge replacement, and it will not be purchased from Coastal. read more

Bought a freezer, was supposed to be delivered Saturday, and they forgot to schedule our delivery. Called the store several times to sort out a new delivery time. Calgary store redirected us to the Burlington store to reschedule the delivery. Have been waiting two days to hear from anyone and just get voicemails with no one returning calls. Now I just want my money back so I can take my business elsewhere and I can't even get that! No one returns phone calls and no one seems to be capable of issuing a refund for the product I have not received. Terrible communication! We were shopping around for a new fridge- the first salesperson we dealt (Cory) was helpful when we first visited the store. We decided to purchase a dishwasher too, negotiated on a price, and Cory passed this on to another salesperson (Kory) due to him being on his days off. Kory sent me an invoice for a higher price than what was negotiated with Cory. Kory took several hours to respond to my emails... frustrating when you need a fridge and dishwasher! Terrible customer service from manager (who ended up calling me back a whole 24 hrs after I requested!) I'm so glad I made the choice to shop elsewhere- especially after reading all of their negative reviews!! Not a good experience at the south store. Pretty much the same as other people are saying nobody really wants to help you. Then when a woman finally had time to help me in an empty store she didn't want to look up a white whirlpool microwave. why?She said they are difficult to get. I guess she didn't have the time to actually look it up on the computer or put any effort into it. Her attitude was just let me know if you want to purchase one of these that was in front of us. I left there and drove to the north store and the north store always takes time to look it up or figure it out and they had a white whirlpool microwave. The woman at the south store I think works for the builders so she'd rather just sit on the phone I guess then actually move product. i'm actually fixing up another rental property and I never want to go to the south store again. I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life, extremely irresponsible in following up with our missing stove nobs. I am surprised how such an unprofessional company is surviving in today's competitive market. There has been absolutely no update from them when we are receiving the stove handles, let alone when they will be properly installed so our stove unit is functional. Our issue has not been resolved and we have been waiting for the missing pieces to arrive for more than 8 weeks. read more

Coast definitely dropped the ball on this one. I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator the first week of May 2022 and about 2 - 3 weeks later noticed that food and liquids were not as cold as they should be. After 3 service calls, I began to lose patience as we were experiencing a heat wave - 30 plus temps. every day. I was told by the service people that they were waiting for parts and there was nothing they could do till they came in. In the meantime, I borrowed a fridge from a friend to put in my detached garage to store essential foods and to stop the food spoilage - how inconvenient is that? I sent an email to the general manager to see if he could speed up the process but never got a response - I was told later that he was no longer with the company even though his name and email address were still on the website. I finally had enough and suggested that if the problem was not rectified by the 5th of Oct. then they could pick up the fridge and refund my money. About 2 days later I received a call from the Sales Manager saying that a refund had been authorized. On Oct. 15 they picked up the fridge and a refund was issued. Because of the nature of the product - safe food storage - a good business practice would have been to replace the defective fridge as soon as they realized there was a supply issue - didn't happen! I have purchased a different model from a competitor and am very pleased with the service/product. I will NOT be recommending Coast to anyone in my lifetime! John read more

A friend was redoing her kitchen and is too nice to post a negative review about her experience so thought I would do it for her. She bought a hood fan from here and paid her contractor to install it, took of the protective stickers and found a dent. They took it down and exchanged it for another only to have the exact same issue. Third time back, the contractor went with her and unwrapped each fan before purchasing. They went through at least 7 that were dented before finding a decent one. Maybe this isn't completely Coast Appliances fault, but instead the manufacturer (who conveniently leaves their name, brand and information off all the packaging), but it's still something they should be aware of and should be doing a better job of purchasing from reliable manufacturers. She ended up paying a ton of extra money for 3 installations and 2 takes downs instead of just 1 installation. read more

Sorry this is a bit long, but you need to read it before you purchase from Coast. My wife and I purchased a fridge from Coast. Everything went well with our purchase. However, when our fridge ( total cost $3400), broke down, that is when we realized we purchased from the wrong company. I chartered a fishing trip in Uke and had my Halibut, and Salmon in the freezer, along with the rest of our goods that had to be thrown out. No compensation for our lost food. Our fridge was only 5-6 mos. old. We went in to speak with a sales agent who said to us, that she could not magically make a fridge appear. Apparently all fridges that we liked were not available.The one we didn't want was available. Everything else were out of stock. Two days later we were informed a fridge was available (magically, I may add). We stopped by the store the next day, unannounced, ( I can't believe that happens at an appliance store) and the sales agent scolded us for not booking an appointment with her, but if we hurried she would speak with us. During this quick conversation, we were told we were going to lose our extended warranty that we never used, and would have to buy again if we wanted a warranty. We said no way, and walked out until she could further update us on the warranty. It took two service calls to realize the fridge was considered unrepairable. Four times we showed up at the north and south stores. Two meetings with the sales agent to find a fridge for us, which ended up being the exact one we had,(that we really didn't want, because the software crashes constantly, and it only lasted for 5-6 mos.), and an appointment for the fridge to be delivered on a Saturday that we waited all day for and didn't arrive. We called the agent again and now we will have to wait until Tuesday for a fridge. Anyone out there that can do without a fridge( or another appliance) for a few weeks, Coast Appliance is for you. Again, everything is fine until you need service and the games begin. So after all these phone calls, showing up at the store, missed delivery dates, were still waiting. A lot of time wasted on this. This is our first, and of course it will be our last purchase with this company. read more

We purchased our entire kitchen from Coast and within the warranty period we had an issue with our oven and they argued but reluctantly came and fixed it....so we thought. The technician didnt put the components back together correct and when we told them about it they dragged it out for so long that the warranty period (1year) passed and their response was basically too bad so sad. They had told the home builder that the warranty is done and they are no longer responsible. I was at coast appliances yesterday and had a bad experience with the lady on the front desk. I am only giving it 2 stars because of our sales person Cory Phillips. Who was very polite and helpful, my appointment with Cory was at 2:00 pm. Me and my wife were there at their south location before the time of appointment. After spending some time till 2:15, when we were still waiting for Cory, I just asked the lady on front desk, if Cory is going to be late or if he is on his way. She was rude giving me the answer, "I dont know bluntly" I asked her again, and she was being rude again. Maybe she was having a bad day, but she should not be sitting at the front desk if she has no manners how to talk to a customer who is there to spend more then $15K . Also COAST APPLIANCES didn't have any black Stainless steel appliances available like a lot of other products which they where advertising on their website. Be prepared that you will not get any black SS appliances, 30 % of their on floor models were missing parts, I would rather go to Trail Appliances if I had choice, atleat I would not get humiliated at front desk... read more

So my wife just retired and I wanted to redo the kitchen as a gift for her. A friend of ours recommend we travel to Calgary and purchase our new stuff from Coast Appliances saying we could probably get a good deal. The showroom was really nice, but the price seemed a little high. I locked horns with the salesmen and eventually found a package that was fair and around my price range. The only problem was I had to travel to the Warehouse in Ogden to pick up my pieces. And at 4pm this was no easy task through Calgary traffic! I barely made it to the darn place before they locked up, The guys at the warehouse stayed open after hours to load me up. They helped me load everything into my trailer that i hauled up from Longview and really went beyond the call of duty with kindness and professionalism. A gentlemen named Kal and a mexican fella helped me inspect all my appliances before i left and i really felt like these guys gave a damn that i was getting what i paid for. If I had to say one thing about those boys at the warehouse It would be when they go heavy they get hard! read more

My first experience with Coast was buying a fridge 5 years ago. I spent 5 years telling everyone that Coast is great. 6 months ago I bought a $1200 black dishwasher. We got it home and the kick plate in the box was white. I called in and was told they would order a new one and call me. The call never came. Called them back and they had no record and will order me the part and will call me. Repeat monthly for another 5 months. I finally go in. Nadene can't look me up unless I remember my salesperson from 6 months ago. She also says that "my story doesn't add up" and "the lines don't cross". She tells me that I have to order and pay for the part that should have come with the darn machine to begin with! Eff you Coast! I work with home builders and home owners and I will make sure everyone hears my story, just like you yelp users! The absolute worst experience. We had been warned that they are only concerned about large purchases or builder purchases. I wished we would have listened. We purchased a new fridge from Adam and it went great. However, upon delivery the fridge that was ordered new, showed up scratched and banged up all across the front. Upon calling the store to discuss we were pushed off to Ryan who really emphasized his importance as he called himself "the boss" over and over, even though it appears Adam is his boss on the website. It became apparent they had no interest in helping resolve the issue. The level of ignorance from Ryan was absolutely amazing. Their first excuse for the scratches was that somehow Covid was to blame, followed by that we 'demanded' a left hinge not a right hinge swing and that was somehow a problem now. We asked Adam up front and he said no problem as the right side hinge doesn't work for us. Not sure what either of those excuses have to do with the scratches. After a few calls with condescending Ryan, they gave 3 mind boggling options. First was we agree to install the fridge as is, then when they have replacement parts they will come fix it, but they can't guarantee how long because of Covid. Second, was that they will replace the fridge with a right hand hinge fridge that isn't scratched but that will cost us an extra $75...WOW. The third solution might be the best in customer service. Send the fridge back, they will refund us and we can take our business elsewhere. So, they have made this really easy for when we build another home. We will gladly take our entire business elsewhere as well making a point to tell everyone we know to go to their competitors. read more

We recently purchased 2 appliances from this place. From the customer service and purchasing process through to delivery, this place was a total joke, a total disappointment and unprofessional. We followed up on an issue we had with both of our appliances after delivery and we were basically made to feel like we had no value as customers past the point where they got our money. I will never EVER deal with this place again. From their front customer service providers to the manager we were poorly treated and not taken seriously. I recommend you find somewhere else to buy your appliances. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would, 1 is way more than they deserve. read more

The worst service I have ever experienced. We waited 4.5 months for a stove. Nobody ever called to update us on the status of the order we had to call every month to check. When it was finally available, they messed up the delivery date and could not solve the problem, I had to go to the warehouse myself to get the stove. My husband and I renovated our home several months ago and purchased all new kitchen appliances at Coast (except the fridge). We were very happy with the assistance we got from Clara who spent a lot of time with us discussing the pros and cons of each brand and we hit a great sale on Bosch appliances. I can't speak about delivery or installation because our contractor took care of that. Now, 6 months later, our 15 year old fridge has broken down! We looked at many different stores and got the most help from Ryan at Coast. He seemed to really know his stuff and was very helpful to us in choosing a new fridge. We selected appliances over a year ago from Coast (our builder's supplier) for our new home. The day before we move-in in mid-December we were called by our Coast salesperson and advised: 1) our fridge was badly damaged in the warehouse and we will require an apartment sized loaner fridge until our fridge could be replaced in two weeks 2) Our dishwasher was unavailable and they had "upgraded" us (to a slightly cheaper model - no refund) - we later found out that they 'accidentally gave away' our special order dishwasher to someone else and we were required to replace the 'upgrade' machine at our own additional cost 3) washer and dryer pedestal bases did not arrive because they were accidentally not ordered and would be delivered in 2 weeks with the fridge We have since been told that we can expect it to take 4-6 weeks for our new fridge and washer pedestals to arrive - according to our sales person "we initially tell people 2 weeks so they don't get upset"... Coast has done nothing to make this right over the past three weeks other than charge us an additional cost to replace that 'upgraded' dishwasher. We have no idea when our paid-for appliances will actually be arriving. Our sales person's supervisor was supposed to call us before the end of December to make this right and we still have not heard back from either the sales person nor supervisor (it is now January 6). We also discovered our stove was installed with a faulty electrical component so we have also been dealing with the Coast appliance repair team ever since we moved in (the repair team is much more responsive). The only appliance that is working as expected is the microwave... I would not recommend Coast for appliance purchase or install (our washer was not fully-hooked up when we moved in (we fixed this ourselves, but we shouldn't have needed to)). Their customer service is terrible, and they seem to have real difficulty delivering the products you have purchased. We have also found them to be not particularly truthful in their communications with their customers. read more

I should have looked at these reviews before buying. Incompetent moron salesman told me to be at the reno address before 9 am on saturday so I wouldnt miss the delivery guys. After an hour and a half (10 am)and no delivery in site I call in. who was your salesman? gotta talk to him. gee--I am 6th on the list. Will be there before noon. No way to call the driver. By 1"30 pm, I call in again. After getting irate, and asking to speak with management, I get put on hold. They have now called the driver. Will be about another 1.5 hours. driver will call a half hour prior. At about 3;30, delivery finally arrives. So---although the price for t 4 items was pretty good, I had to waste my entire saturday because these liars and incompetents cant get their act together. read more

Stay away! Was sent here by our builder. We purchased a cooktop from them and it was a damaged floor model that was delivered. Their solution was to offer us a small credit or order a new one....but if the ordered a new one they would remove the current one and we would have nothing to cook with for 6 weeks. Not an option to not be able to cook for 6 weeks so we are being forced to live with a damaged floor model. Ridiculous company! read more

Do not shop here!! Terrible customer service. We recently bought a complete kitchen aid package from Coast. The dishwasher never worked from day one. We called and they sent a service guy out from Avalanche plumbing. They ordered the part we needed and said it would take a couple of days, well 10 days later we still hadn't heard from them and found out the part had been sitting in their office for a week and they try and tell us the part only came in, what liars!! They came to install the part and the service guy said it was not the correct part. We called Nadine at Coast and she says that the part we need is not currently available in Canada. Kitchen Aid says they have to try and fix it three times before they will give us a new dishwasher. It is soon Xmas and we said we want dishwasher before Xmas. Nadine says if the part isn't in by the Monday before Xmas she will send a new dishwasher out to get installed. What a liar. The 23rd of December the service guy shows up at 3pm with the same wrong part. We called her again and she did not return our call and therefore we did not have a dishwasher for Xmas. We went to the store on Dec. 27th and talked to the General Manager, Joel Lipton. Well we may as well talked to the wall for as interested as he was. That just shows if the GM shows no interest why would the staff!!! I will never shop there again and make sure everyone knows about the horrible customer service!!!!!!!!! read more

The sales people we dealt with were great (Colby and Adam).They were professional and friendly and the prices we agreed to were reasonable. The installation costs seemed quite high so we didn't opt for those... but we can hook those up ourselves so that's not really an issue. Would recommend. read more
